Romance and redemption. We’ve looked at different aspects of character, candles, fire, objectification, guests and magic but we’ve skirted around the fur.
Or to be more precise, the furry following of the film.
Looking at the expertise of Woman’s health and Vox. The furry community seems to consist of people who like anthropomorphism. Animals with human like characteristics. Something Disney excels in with the likes of Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, The candelabra from Beauty and the Beast (still connecting it.)
The Beast poses as a perfect example of anthropomorphism. Bipedal, clothed, claws in the fashion of nails, animalistic waist down but with hench human like arms. Fur shaped like a hair style.
Some could argue that the curse bestowed on the Prince is a metaphor for the social stigma surrounding the furry community. Kind of falls apart at the end though. And the start. Middle too, however one could look at it as the Beast being the Prince's fursona.

Which brings us to this week’s poll -
“Does Willow have a fursona?”
Yes – She wants a cute yawn too.
No – Too many goldfish memories.
I abstain. While I get what a fursona is, I can’t say I understand the furry spectrum. Meaning I don’t understand enough to make links to suggest either way.
