seth greens new sitcom opens tonight on NBC

The Scoop on Four Kings:
In this new sitcom from Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, four lifelong friends (Josh Cooke, Seth Green, Todd Grinnell and Shane McRae) move in together in a lavish apartment one of them has inherited. Although you have to admire NBC's strategy of trying to rebuild its once prosperous two-hour Thursday sitcom franchise, one look at the generic Four Kings and memories of past 8:30 p.m. duds like Inside Schwartz, Cursed, Jesse and The Single Guy will, unfortunately, come flooding back.

Julie Benz was the guest star on last night's episode of the WB series "Supernatural".

This makes her the second BtVS/Angel alumna (Amy Acker was the first) to make an appearance on this series.

Julie Benz did a very good job on Supernatural, the best new show this season. Her character was very different from Darla, she was a nice woman with a brain tumor and she got to do some decent acting. I would actually like to see her in some more roles, I was pretty impressed with her.

Now why her and Amy Acker have been on Supernatural is an interesting question. I don't think any other ex ME people are on this show (lord let that stay true!), but I don't know for sure.

I do like that her former coworkers are showing support, but part of me wonders just how much they both need to be seen with someone now much more in demand than either of them.

Of course of the two I'm really pullying for Nick. He's coming through a rough patch and working to get past his drinking problem. That and as a bonus he's never claimed to be a genius.

I am glad Bones is coming back. DB does a good job and I have enjoyed the series quite a bit. The interplay between the leads is very good and they have good chemistry together. And this makes an Angel film even less likely! Yay.

was flipping through the channels and caught the last couple of mins of a new show that had a black lead actor who looked very familiar - been trying to place where I've seen him before - I think he may have been in the buffy spin off - Angel / or maybe I'm confusing him with rileys's army buddy in buffy? Very interesting news about Iyari Limon in GMP, but I wish it hadn't been mentioned in W&V. I was talking to my ex about this, who has watched season 7, and he found it a little strange that in the WT scenes Amber plays a more convincing lesbian than a bisexual woman.

The best of luck to Iyari. It can't be easy being one of the few actors prepared to come out in homophobic Hollywood.

Southland Tales has been chosen as one of the films in competition for the prestigious Palme d'Or award at this year's Cannes film festival.

Richard Kelly, the man behind cult hit Donnie Darko, wrote and directed the project which stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mandy Moore, Justin Timberlake and American wrestling star The Rock.

The Rock told WWE: “I had never made an art-house movie so no one, including me, had a clue what was going to happen...It has the feel of a 1940s movie, that type of mystique. It’s a dark comedy, a musical, a thriller, a drama, all rolled into one.”

Southland Tales is one of only three American films being considered for the award, alongside Fast Food Nation and Sophia Coppola's Marie Antoinette. Speaking about the award, The Rock added: “[It is the] Holy Grail of filmmaking, if you will. It’s the top of the heap. Just being chosen means you have arrived as an actor!”
The festival will be held from 17-28 May in the southern French coastal resort, and attended by the industry's biggest stars.
