GAHHH! I'm late with the feedback! Sorry, T! I've read this a half dozen times now, and every time I think I have something relevent to say, it disappears cause by the end I'm just a big sighing, 'awwww'-ing, warm fuzzy feeling mess.

You really did an outstanding job with the finale. I loved your idea to use 'scenes' from the other fics, but this had so much more. It makes a wonderful statement about fan fic in general:
It was if they were meant to be together no matter when or where. Tara’s heart swelled at the thought of the love she and Willow shared, spanning time, places, and possibly even dimensions.
That's what I love about this community, and enjoyed about this project. I think it's fitting that your story--the only canon of the bunch--was the lens through which the alternate universes/timelines were viewed, and I really liked their feelings/thoughts as they watched their other incarnations, especially this one:
Ironically the water that could quench her thirst was what robbed her of it in the first place.
Can I just say "whoa!" I never even thought of it that way, but damn that was nicely put! Your use of sun was perfect, both in the ordinary (their daily lives) and the extraordinary (the Temple experience). You do such a great job of balancing heartfelt emotion with steamy sex, and throw in some awesome dialogue to boot!
Willow froze when she saw an unfamiliar mark on Tara’s lower back. “Baby, I think that what I think happened, did happen.”

Tara yanked her pants on and turned to her lover, “Do you think we had sex in a glowing ball of sunshine like I do?”
That was laugh out loud funny! The ending was absolutely lovely, but ultimately bittersweet, cause it's the end. :cry

Hey Cam! Thanks for the stale feedback. :flirt I appreciate it. :-D I'm so glad you pointed out this line:
“Do you think we had sex in a glowing ball of sunshine like I do?”

It was my favorite line in the whole fic!

Say, when are you gonna get over your fear and give us some W/T canon lovin'? LOL

I'm sorry I haven't left individual feedback for each story. Sometimes life off the internet just gets in the way. But I wanted to make sure I let you all know just how wonderful this series is! Each story serves to show us the love and devotion Willow and Tara have for each other -- regardless of the universe in which they exist or the context of the story. It's really quite lovely.

I'm really looking forward to this Holiday Goodness you all have coming up. You say there's more writery goodness -- does that mean you will each be writing more than one story for that one?

Can't wait for more.

I'M SO SORRY, I know this is really really late but I only just got the chance to read Sun and the last half of Earth. I'm sorry guys but this is actually worth digging up off the 2nd page anyway! I'll keep it simple!

SUN: Thats some really good writing (well der...) and it really does give the feeling of finishing off the series and summing it all up! The story itself is simple whilst still be complex and knowing all the research and time that would have been put into this story to make it what it is helped me to enjoy the story even more! I probably learnt something while reading it too. :nerd Well done! :clap

EARTH: WOWOWOWOW! There's not much I can say about this one that hasn't already been said. It's amazing what emotions you have been able to prevoke using purely words! I, like everyone else, really felt this story from the first word to the last.... Although my tears didn't flow, they were close many a time! The whole structure of this story really appealed to me and the only way I know how to express what I thought of your writing of this story is through this: :bow! Thank you for writing/sharing Earth!

Irene,
Thanks so much. What a great treat to see this thread at the top of the list again and with full feedback at that. I love that scenario, the having to wait and nothing you can do for pleasure. I'm glad it worked for you. Thanks always.

I am asking the moderators to move this thread to the completed archives.

If you wish to indulge in more Elemental goodness, please look for the stories there...most likely under 'V' for 'Various'.

Thanks to all for your support.

But just before the thread gets moved... thanks Irene (aka Agent Hot Tamale), I'm glad you liked 'Gold', and were made warm and snuggly. The flight was my favourite part too. By all means, keep checking mirrors - you never know :D

And also before it gets moved, I must apologize to the Elemental writers (aside from Chris), as I have still not left feedback for your stories. I promise that as soon as I am able, I will give them a onceover again and will leave the appropriate feedbacky goodness.

Irene: Sorry for the delay. I've been meaning to get back around to this when I had some time to properly address your generous feedback. I really liked hearing that a.) you enjoyed reading, b.) that it stood the test of rereading, and c.) that you found more to enjoy in that. I tried to write several layers into it, without overcomplicating the basic premise, and I think that worked out fairly well. I also tried to balance the darkness with a little bit of levity - I'm glad that it worked for you. This was certainly the most ambitious piece I've tried to write, in terms of creating an original setting, making detailed characters with pasts (but retaining parts of canon), and so on, but I found it to be extremely rewarding. I do have plans to continue this piece...because, yes, there are answers to your astute questions. I'm not sure when I will be able to properly come back to this yet, but I will. Thank you so much for the wonderful words, Irene.

Team, thanks for bumping the thread. Sorry Irene, life has gotten very busy lately, so much so that I haven't had a chance to write feedback and replies. But you deserve special attention, fajita.

I guess people are sick and tired of hearing me say that I had to go to a dark place to write Earth. No, not shut myself up in a windowless, lampless room, I meant dark inside myself. To borrow what Cyd said, it's my most ambitious writing assignment too.

I'm glad it spoke to you, with regards to the emotional response from most readers, I was really twisting the knife ... take solace in the knowledge that every stab into your heart, every twist, the almost physical pain as you read the story ... I experienced it myself too, probably more intensely than you.

People who care, like you, would have read the sequel. I do plan to go back to it, I have the outline roughly sketched out in my head. Unfortunately it is quite far back in the writing queue, and I can categorically say that 2006 will not be as prolific as 2005 in terms of writing. I'm still waiting for my muse to return from her meditation trip to Tibet and Siberia.
