Summary- The title says it all. This is a follow up to my fic, 1st Kiss, which sees our girls on their first date.

This first part could have existed as a little stand alone fic, but I thought it fit quite nicely in here, so I adapted it accordingly.

Hope you enjoy, & now on with the show...

****************************

PART 1 – A Revelation

It had been five days since Willow Rosenberg and Tara Maclay had shared their first kiss. Five days since they exchanged ‘I love you’s’. Five days since their first date had been arranged. And five days since either one of them had thought about anything other than those three things.

Willow’s last class of the day had finished at 4. Now, one and a half hours later, she was standing in front of her closet, wrapped in a fluffy white towel, surrounded by various items of clothing which were scattered (in a random but organised manner) around the room. Every aspect of her forthcoming date with Tara was planned to perfection in her head, except for what she would wear.

‘Great, I know where we’re going; what time; what we’re gonna talk about; how often I’m gonna want to just, kiss her.’ A sweet little grin accompanied this thought. ‘But I neglected to plan clothing. What, were you just planning on going naked Rosenberg? Oh yeah, that’d make an impression. Okay, clothes for a date, I can do this, I’ve been on dates. That’s true, but I’ve only been on dates with Oz, who, lets face it, thought I looked hot in an Eskimo suit. Plus, this is a date with a girl; I’ve never been on a date with a girl before.’

At this point Buffy walked in the room. Seeing her best friend staring into space in much the same position as she had been almost half an hour ago, the slayer decided to quiz the redhead.

“Err, Will? Have you moved in the last half hour?”

“What? Oh, yes, yes I have. I moved to my closet, took clothes out, put the clothes on the right pile, and then came back to here. In fact, I’ve done that several times since you went out. Oh look, you got drinks.” Willow then proved that she could indeed move as she walked over to Buffy and took one of the cups from the blonde. “Mmm, mocha. Nothing bad about mochas, all that mocha goodness. Definitely all good, and sweet tasting. Yep, mocha equals good.”

“Well that’s good then. Are you sure you need caffeine though? You seem kinda, nervous or edgy.”

“Edgy? I’m not edgy and I’m certainly not nervous. There’s absolutely nothing at all for me to be edgy or nervous about. Nope, no siree, no nerves and no edginess.”

“O-kay. You wanna tell me why you’re being all weird then?”

“Weird? Me? I’m just picking out clothes, like people do when they’re getting dressed. It’s all perfectly normal, nothing weird about it.”

“True, but I’ve never known you agonise over what you should wear, like ever. If I didn’t know better I’d swear you were getting ready for a date.” At Willow’s silence and the ‘uh oh, busted’ look on the wiccans’ face, Buffy realised that she’d hit the nail right on the head. “Oh my god! You have a date. Why didn’t you tell me? Come on Will, I need details. Where are you going? Who is he? Do I know him? Is he in one of your classes?”

“Erm, okay. Yes I have a date, we’re going for coffee, then to see a movie and we may go to the Bronze afterwards. And yes you do know them.”

“So, spill. Who’s the lucky guy?”

“Well you see, it’s not, erm. Okay, Buffy I have something to tell you, why don’t you sit down?”

“Sit down? Okay what’s going on Will, you’re kinda freaking me out a little here?”

“Just, sit, okay?” Reluctantly the slayer sat at the end of her bed and Willow sat opposite on the end of her own bed. “Okay, here goes. You see the thing is, this date, it’s not with a guy.”

“O-kay.” Was Buffy’s only response, it was coupled with a blank stare. Clearly the slayer did not grasp the implications of this revelation.

‘Jeez Buff, how slow are you? You really don’t get it? Okay, I guess I’m gonna have to make this a little easier for you.’ Willow thought to herself before taking a different approach to get her point across.

“Buffy, do you remember my evil, skanky, kinda gay vamp self?” The blonde nodded so Willow continued. “Well it turns out I do have something in common with her after all, and it’s not the evil, skanky part.”

You could practically see the mental cogs working over-time in the slayer’s brain as she tried to deduce what Willow was saying.

“Oh my god! You’re a vampire!?” Buffy finally exclaimed incredulously, causing the redhead to give an irritated sigh.

“Okay, and not the vampire part either.” Willow amended to further assist Buffy’s intellectual ineptness.

There was silence, silence which Willow considered filling with more babbled words, until she noticed that her best friend’s blank stare had been replaced with a look of shock and confusion.

“You mean the kinda gay thing? No, that can’t be it. You’re not gay. I mean, you were with Oz and there was the whole Xander thing. You’re straight Will, you like guys, like Oz and Xander, and Oz.”

“You said Oz twice.”

“I know, but you guys were really serious so I thought he deserved a second mention.”

“Buffy, I know this is a lot to get your head round. It took me a while to get used to the whole idea too. But there’s this girl, and we’ve grown really close over the past few months, and I, I love her. I love her so much, and, and she loves me. I wasn’t intentionally looking for a relationship, especially with a girl, but it just kind of happened, and it feels so right. She’s so amazing, and sweet, and beautiful, and gentle. She makes me happy, she makes me feel whole you know? Buffy, are, are you okay with this? You’re not, freaked or anything?”

Buffy stood up, considered pacing the floor, then changed her mind and sat down again. She opened her mouth to speak, then closed it again. Finally she looked at her best friend. Willow was looking at her expectantly; she looked so nervous and scared. Scared that Buffy would be freaked, that she wouldn’t accept her for who she was. Scared that by being honest and open about her true feelings she had risked losing one of her closest friends.

Buffy finally made herself seriously consider everything Willow had said. The silence dragged on far too long for the young wiccan and every moment of it was agonising. By the time the slayer finally spoke the redhead was on the verge of tears.

“Okay, I’m not freaked. You kinda caught me off guard a little bit, but I’m totally okay with it.”

Willow let go of the breath she’d been holding in and wiped away the build up of tears that had threatened to spill. Seeing how upset Willow had become Buffy moved to sit next to the wiccan and wrapped her into a comforting hug.

“Oh Buffy, I was so scared you’d hate me.”

“What? I could never hate you Will. You’re still you, still the same person no matter whether you’re gay or straight. You’re still Willow and I still love you.”

Now Willow allowed her tears to slowly roll down her cheeks. Not tears of fear or pain, but tears of relief and thanks for her best friends acceptance and unconditional love.

“Thank you. You have no idea how much that means to me.”

“It’s the truth, and don’t you ever forget it.”

After a moment of just holding each other Willow stopped crying and moved to look at her best friend.

“So, you wanna help me get ready for my date?” She asked with an excited smile.

“I have one question first.”

“What?”

“Who is this girl?”

“Tara.” The redhead’s complete love for the fellow witch was poured into that one word, and the sweetest of grins accompanied the answer.

“Wow. You really are crazy about her aren’t you?”

“Completely and happily.”

“Then I’m definitely happy for you. Now, let’s get you dressed.”

:clap Lovely start. Ohh first date! Hmm, although I would have most gladly gone with initial consideration of going naked :lol But that's a big no no :no so I'll have to settle for the outfit that Buffy and Willow are going to manage to pick out for W/T's date! :D

Fic: 1st Date - part 2

Postby kindagay » Wed Oct 22, 2003 4:44 pm

Hello kittens,

Thank you so much for the feedback, I'm glad you're all enjoying it :)

Now, on with part 2

See part 1 for disclaimers etc

Thoughts are in italics

******************************

PART 2 – Getting Ready

Unlike Willow, Tara didn’t have the luxury of a best friend to help her choose clothes. In fact, she’d never even been on a date before so she was in completely uncharted territory.

‘What am I doing? I’ve never done this before. I don’t date; I don’t know what to do on dates. What should I wear? What should I talk about? What if I can’t think of anything to say? I’m gonna stutter, I just know I am. Stupid, awkward, stammering dork. I can’t do this, I’m gonna make a fool of myself. The whole night’s gonna be a complete disaster. I’ll do everything wrong and Willow won’t ever want to see me again.’

With that thought planted firmly in her head Tara made her way over to her phone. She had every intention of ringing Willow and cancelling the whole evening. Luckily, as she neared the phone she noticed a small, folded piece of paper with her name on the front, surrounded by tiny hearts.

‘That’s Willow’s writing. That wasn’t there when I left for class this morning. Was it? No, no I’m sure it wasn’t. She must have come by while I wasn’t here and left it. Wonder what it says?’

Deciding that the best way to answer that question would be to actually read the note, this is exactly what the lovely blonde did. And this is what she read:

Tara,

Before you think about ringing me, don’t. Under no circumstances will I accept a cancellation.

You will look great, in whatever you wear (especially if it’s one of your lovely floaty skirts).

You are not going to embarrass or make a fool of yourself.

And I am definitely, beyond any doubt, going to want to see you again.

Don’t ever forget that I love you.

Willow

‘Okay Will, no cancellation. Do you really know me that well?’ Tara grinned at the thought that someone had actually put the effort in to get to know her. ‘So, a skirt? Well that solves half of the clothes debate. Thank you Willow, I love you too.’

Tara made her way to her closet, removed a pale blue skirt and laid it out on her bed. She then removed a red skirt, looked at it for a second before changing her mind and putting it back. She did the same with two patterned skirts. Then a beep purple, velvet skirt and a khaki coloured combat-style skirt joined the blue one on the bed.

‘Blue, purple or khaki? Which would Willow prefer? Well, the khaki one’s not floaty, so that’s no good. Now, either nice soft velvet or blue to match my eyes?’

To help her settle the debate, Tara’s mind conjured up a memory from earlier that week.

…After a particularly intimate and powerful spell the two girls had been cuddled up on the floor of Tara’s room. Willow had placed a loving kiss on the blondes’ cheek then glanced into her eyes, holding their tender gaze. She smiled the sweetest of smiles before speaking in a low, sincere tone.

“You have beautiful eyes. Deep blue like the ocean, or like perfect, sparkling sapphires. In fact, from now on, my new favourite colour is officially Tara-eyes blue.”…

‘Okay, so I guess the blue one.’

The nervous wiccan put the two rejected skirts away then browsed through her closet for the perfect top.

See part 1 for disclaimers, etc

& now, on with the show...

*************************

PART 3 – A Clumsy Start

At approximately 7 ‘o clock Willow knocked at Tara’s door. Or rather, she would have knocked at Tara’s door if the blonde had not chosen that exact moment to step out into the corridor to see if there was any sign of the red head.

“Am I late?” Willow asked nervously as she glanced down at her watch. “I didn’t mean to be late. Stupid watch must be slow. That’s what you get for having a cheap, old watch, shoddy workmanship and such. I’m so sorry, I was thinking I’d get here ridiculously early and you wouldn’t be ready, and instead I turn up late and you’re all out in the hallway looking for me. Sorry.”

“N-no, Willow you’re on time. I was w-w-worried. It’s dark and, um, there’s v-vampires and things. I was just worried.” Tara explained then gave what she hoped was a reassuring smile.

“Oh, sorry for making you worry. I’m here though, all in one piece, no encounters with any vamps or monsters or anything of demon origin. Besides, I had a slayer escorting me all the way here and I never go anywhere without my holy water, stake and cross. So, we’re all safe and good and there’s nothing to worry about.”

“Good. Erm, g-good that you’re okay. D-do you want to come in a second? I n-need to get a jacket.”

Willow wordlessly followed Tara into the dorm room and quietly pushed the door closed. Once she was sure that they were safe from the view of any passers by, the redhead took Tara’s left hand and placed a gentle kiss on the back of it. Before the shy wiccan even had time to blush Willow produced a small bunch of lilac and blue flowers from behind her back.

“Flowers for milady.” Willow’s eyes sparkled as she flashed one of her 1000 watt grins.

“Th-thank you Willow, they’re beautiful.” Tara graciously accepted the flowers then put them in her sink while she looked for a vase.

“So are you, beautiful I mean. You look really good. I mean, you always do, but tonight you look extra-specially good. And did I mention beautiful? Very beautiful, with you’re hair all golden and flowing, and your amazing blue eyes, just like an angel, and can I kiss you?”

As Willow had spoken Tara listened almost in disbelief that anyone could be saying these words about her. At the sound of Willow likening her to an angel Tara’s heart skipped a beat. When Willow wrapped her arms around her waist and asked permission to kiss her, Tara was so taken aback that she dropped the vase she’d been holding sending it shattering to the floor.

“Sorry.” Both girls exclaimed at once as they crouched down to pick up the large pieces of glass.

“No, it was my fault, I made you jump. I shouldn’t have sneaked up on you like that, and now I’ve made you break your vase. I’ll buy you a new one, even if it was really expensive, I’ll replace it. U-unless, it had sentimental value? It did, didn’t it? It’s probably a family heirloom or something. God I’m the worst girlfriend ever, only our first date and I broke a family heirloom…”

Tara could only think of one way to stop the redhead’s myriad of words, she cupped the girls chin in her gentle hands and slowly brought their lips together in a tender, chaste kiss.

“It w-wasn’t your fault. It wasn’t expensive, and it um, it wasn’t, a f-family heirloom. I, I got it for five dollars at a y-yard sale.” The blonde stroked Willow’s cheeks as she spoke, and then smiled a smile full of love.

“Really? That’s okay then. I mean, not okay that it got broken, but okay ‘cos it wasn’t expensive or sentimental.”

Tara continued to gently rub her thumbs over Willow’s cheeks as they gazed intently into each other’s eyes, silently communicating on a level that neither girl could comprehend. For a short time they remained, rooted to the spot, barely daring to breathe for fear of ruining the moment.

“Can I kiss you now?” It was an overwhelmed redhead who broke the silence, her voice soft and low.

“I wish you would.” The blonde replied; her voice equally soft and accompanied by a sweet, musical chuckle.

Willow’s hands made their way along Tara’s arms until they covered the blondes own. Their fingers entwined as Willow grudgingly moved Tara’s hands away from her face. The redhead squeezed the taller girl’s hands softly, conveying her reluctance to break the connection for even a second, before letting them go. Her own hands eagerly sought out the blonde’s smooth skin, finding their home buried in the short downy hairs at the back of Tara’s neck.

Blue and green eyes closed as breath mingled and lips touched in sweet slow motion. An adventurous tongue was brought into the mix as it traced the outline of full lips, committing the shape, taste and feel to memory. The tongue was unexpectedly taken captive between gentle teeth, enticing a soft moan from its owner. The teeth then released their captive, as the wiccans explored the familiar warmth of each others mouths at a leisurely pace. Both girls knew that there was all the time in the world. Knew that they had found home and were safe.

For a long moment they remained, crouched among the broken glass, luxuriating in the closeness of one another. After a while Tara’s legs inconveniently developed pins and needles and the blonde lost her balance. In an attempt to steady herself she put her left hand down onto the floor, directly on top of a rather large piece of glass. Tara pulled away from the kiss as she winced at the pain and cradled her injured hand to her chest.

“Are you okay? Oh, there’s blood.” Willow’s voice was full of concern as she took her girlfriend’s hand and inspected the cut. “It doesn’t look like there’s any glass in it, but we should wash it just in case.”

The redhead helped Tara stand up and led her to the sink. She turned on the tap; moved the flowers so that they didn’t get blood on them; then held the wounded hand under the water.

“I don’t think it’s very deep, but you’ll need a band aid.” Willow commented as she examined the now clean cut. “Does it hurt?”

“A little.” Tara nodded, amazed by how maternal the redhead could be.

“Aww, poor baby.” Willow placed a soft kiss just above the cut. “That better?”

“Oh yes.” The blonde grinned.

Willow returned the smile before setting about removing first aid supplies from beneath the sink. She worked efficiently and lovingly; gently rubbing antiseptic cream into the injury before covering the wound with a band aid and finishing up with another kiss to the wounded area.

“There, all done.” The redhead announced triumphantly.

“Th-thank you.”

“I feel like I should give you a sticker and a lolly-pop for being all brave.”

“I’ll s-settle for a, a kiss.” Tara smiled keenly before leaning in for many more kisses.

Fic: 1st Date - part 4

Postby kindagay » Sun Oct 26, 2003 5:54 pm

Again I start with a big thank you, & lots of :flower s & hugs to all who left feedback. You really are such lovely people & it's a pleasure to share my little creations with you all. :)

So, who thinks it's time our girls actually went out on this date?

Everyone? Oh, righty-ho then

Part 4

(same disclaimers as all the other parts)

*******************************

PART 4 – The Movie

After half an hour of making out, the young wiccans realised that it was probably time to get to the actual date part of their first date. They carefully swept up the broken glass and found another vase for the flowers.

“Oh, look it’s gone eight, we’re gonna have to go straight to the movie. And I really wanted to go to the Espresso Pump too. You know, so that we could talk, ‘cos, well, there’s no talking at the movies and, the Bronze isn’t the best place for deep, meaningful conversations.”

“We could go for coffee after the m-movie, erm, instead of the B-bronze.”

“Of course, that sounds great.” Willow complimented her girlfriend’s simple, logical solution. “We should probably get going; we don’t wanna miss the film as well.”

“Right.”

The two girls walked to The Sun cinema complex hand in hand, talking and laughing happily, making sure they stuck to the safe route Buffy had recommended in order to avoid any encounters with the undead.

“Erm, wh-who should pay?” Tara asked nervously, she wasn’t sure what the protocol was for paying on dates.

“Oh, well usually the man pays, but, no man, so I’m not sure… Okay, erm, I’ll get the tickets and you can get the snacks. Okay?”

“Okay.” The blonde smiled as it dawned on her that Willow was just as new to this as her. She mentally slapped herself for not making this realisation earlier; after all, she was fully aware that she was the first girl Willow had ever been out with.

Once the tickets, popcorn and soda (with two straws) had been purchased, the girls located the correct screen and sat right in the corner on the back row. (Well they’re on a date, where else are they likely to sit?)

“I haven’t seen this for ages; it was my favourite film when I was younger. I’ve never seen it on the big screen before though. Well obviously, I wasn’t even born when it was first out, so I’ve only ever seen it on TV, and I absolutely have to watch it every time it’s on. I always make Xander watch it too; he’s totally sick of it.”

“It was my favourite too. M-my mom taped it for me one year and I watched the video every b-birthday as a, a s-special treat. She always used to s-sing the songs to me, e-especially if I was upset.”

“Aww, that’s so sweet. I never sing the songs. Well, I did, until Xander pointed out to me that I really can’t sing. So now I just tap my feet, and occasionally I hum, but that’s about it. Do you sing the songs? I bet you have a beautiful singing voice.”

“N-not really. I, I sang with my mom sometimes, b-but I w-wasn’t as good as her. M-mom had the, the v-voice of an angel.” Tara smiled at the memory of her mother, but there was a hint of sadness in her voice that let Willow know that this was a painful subject for the blonde.

“Well, if you want to sing I’d feel honoured to hear you. But I promise I won’t join in, ‘cos I really am not good with the singing. In fact, if I sang I think I’d scare people off. In fact I think I’d probably scare demons off. Hey, maybe I should start singing on patrols; it’d only be a matter of time before all the big bads run away. I could rid Sunnydale of evil within a matter of weeks. Then we could all have a normal, easy life. I might have to pitch that idea to Buffy; I think she’d go for it. What do you think?”

“I’m sure you’re n-not that bad sweetie.” Tara had been laughing heartily at Willow’s babble and had to take a moment to regain her composure before she could respond.

“I love it when you laugh, makes me all happy and smiley. And you know what else I love?”

“What?”

“The way you just called me sweetie.” Willow replied with a sweet, goofy grin.

“You are a sweetie Will. M-my sweetie.”

“Yours always baby.” Willow promised, sealing the deal with a kiss as the lights went down and the opening credits of The Wizard of Oz filled the screen.

Just over an hour and a half later Willow skipped out of the cinema, her hand clasped firmly with Tara’s, singing ‘we’re off to see the wizard’ at the top of her voice.

“You promised you wouldn’t sing. People are getting scared, they’re all running away.” Tara giggled at her girlfriend’s child-like behaviour, jokingly complaining and trying to free her hand so she could cover her ears.

Willow stopped and let go of the blonde’s hand then turned to face the taller girl. She poked her tongue out in mock indignation and waggled her fingers in her ears before running off.

“Willow Rosenberg, come back here you big kid.” Tara’s hands found their way onto her hips as she mimicked a cross parent. She raised her eyebrows, her expression defying Willow to continue the play.

Taking a look at her girlfriend Willow laughed and skipped back to the blonde’s side, placing a kiss on Tara’s right cheek.

“I’m sorry Tara, forgive me?” The tone of Willow’s voice and the puppy dog look in her green eyes resembled a small child, clearly conveying that the role play hadn’t ended.

“I forgive you. Just don’t run off again okay?” Tara continued to play her part with great accuracy.

“I pwomise.” The inflection of the feigned speech impediment finally made Tara crack. She slipped out of character and laughed so much that tears filled her eyes.

“You should always laugh. I’ve never seen you look more beautiful than you do right now.” Willow complimented with obvious sincerity.

“Th-thank you.” Tara blushed furiously and hid behind her hair. Willow’s hands gently lifted the embarrassed wiccan’s face, and before she knew what was happening the redhead’s soft lips were pressed tightly against her own.

“Please don’t hide from me.” Willow pleaded softly. “Don’t ever hide your pretty face from me.”

“I pwomise.” Tara mimicked Willow’s earlier words with the same lilt, and the girls shared a playful smile before walking out of the cinema hand in hand.

You know, I'm racking my brain to think of more synonyms for "cute," but I'm not really coming up with anything...

Fic: 1st Date - part 5

Postby kindagay » Tue Oct 28, 2003 3:15 pm

Yet again, you all say such sweet things. Thank you all for your comments, :flower s & hugs. :)

Ok, so after the movie we have, coffee...

Part 5, much more sweetness (well, what else would you expect? this is Willow & Tara)

*************************

PART 5 – The Coffee

The girls practically skipped all the way to the Espresso Pump, as they sang and laughed wholeheartedly. A few people gave the happy pair some odd looks, but Willow and Tara were too caught up in each other to notice anybody else.

When they arrived at the coffee shop Willow asked Tara what she wanted to drink then instructed the blonde to claim an empty corner booth while she waited to be served. Moments later the redhead joined Tara with a mocha, a caffé latte and two bagels.

“Thanks sweetie. Mmm.” Tara savoured the aroma of her drink.

Idle chatter about everything and nothing soon followed.

“So he was stood there all like ‘No weapon forged can harm me’ and Buffy grabs the rocket launcher and goes ‘That was then, this is now’. He didn’t know what was going on, ‘cos he’d been all separated for centuries and hadn’t kept up with technology, so he saw the rocket launcher and just went ‘What’s that do?’. So Buffy showed him and it was like, BOOM, big broken blue guy. It was really cool.” As they sat drinking their coffee Willow animatedly relayed one of the many tales of life as a Scooby.

“What about Angelus?”

“Oh, Buffy went after him and she could have killed him right then and there, but she was still pretty upset and it just wasn’t the right time.”

“It must have been so hard for her.”

“Yeah. We were there for her though, Xander and I, we helped her through it. Well not so much Xander, ‘cos he was all with the ‘I told you so’s’ but she got through it and managed to kill him when she had to. But then she disappeared for the entire summer, so, we couldn’t do anything except worry about her, and miss her.”

“I’m sure she missed you too Will. She just needed time alone.”

“I know, I understand why she did it, I just, I wish she would have felt like she could have talked to me about it. She didn’t say anything, to anyone. Giles had to be all sneaky and pretend there was a spell that he needed the details for; otherwise she never would have told any of us.”

“She would have talked about it eventually; Mister Giles just gave her that little push.” At this point Willow started giggling. Tara knew that this wasn’t really appropriate considering the conversation they were having, and suddenly became rather nervous and self conscious, thinking that the redhead was laughing at her for some reason. “W-what’s f-funny?”

“Oh, sorry.” Willow picked up on the change in Tara’s tone and quickly set about explaining her little giggling session. “I wasn’t laughing at you, well, no, I was, but not ‘cos of something bad.” This explanation didn’t do anything to ease Tara’s distress so Willow decided to try again. “It’s just, the way you call Giles, mister Giles, it’s really sweet. We’ve never called him mister Giles, he’s just Giles, or G-man, which he hates so only Xander calls him that. So see, when you say mister Giles, it’s absolutely adorable and endearing, and it makes me happy, ‘cos you’re my sweet, adorable, endearing girlfriend. So, see, it’s a good giggle.”

Tara wasn’t sure how to respond to Willow’s sweet words so she just smiled and gave the other girl a small kiss.

A comfortable silence ascended on the pair, both content with just being close to one another. The silence was soon filled when Tara softly began singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow to herself. Willow closed her eyes as she listened to the sweet voice, her hand reaching across the table to locate that of the blonde.

“I don’t know where you got the idea that you’re not very good at singing Miss Maclay, but it’s not true. You’re voice is amazing, it’s like birds singing, and humming bees humming, and crickets chirping, and every other beautiful sound in the world.”

Tara hadn’t realised that she’d been singing out loud and Willow’s words caused her to stop, which earned a disappointed pout from the redhead.

“The pretty singing stopped.” Willow noted as she rubbed her thumb over the back of Tara’s hand.

“I d-didn’t… C-could p-people hear me?” Her innate shyness kicked in as she blushed and tried to make herself disappear.

“No, no baby. Only I could hear, I promise. Nobody heard.” Willow reassured her girl as she pushed soft blonde hair behind sweet pink ears. “Aww, your ears blush.” The redhead pointed out before placing tiny kisses to the top of each ear.

“Y-you’re sure nobody heard?” Tara’s voice was small and uncertain and she was still desperately trying to hide.

“Tara, baby, look at me.” Finally baby blue eyes turned to look at Willow’s smiling face. “I promise you nobody else heard you singing. Okay?”

“Okay.” The blonde nodded. “But my ears don’t blush.”

“Oh yes they do. They’re very cute.”

“Ears can’t be cute, they’re just, ears.”

“Your ears are cute. Trust me, I can see them and they’re very cute.”

“You’ll make them blush again.”

“That was the plan.” Willow grinned as Tara rolled her eyes and playful dismissed the girl with a wave of her hand. “It’s so dark.” The redhead observed. A quick glance at her watch revealed why. “Oh, we must have been talking for hours it’s past midnight. Good job this place is open twenty-four hours.”

“W-we should probably m-make a move.”

“Yeah I guess we should. Come on, I’ll walk you home.”

That was absolutely hilarious!!!!! This fic got me laughing my head off!!!:rofl Especially when Willow started babbling about the vase...that part got me going for a long time!!! So many parts where I had to stop and try to maintain my composure. Willow skipping out of the cinema singing was just TOO much!!!

I usually go for angsty stuff, but this fic is so wonderfully written. Very funny without going overboard!!!

More soon please!!!!
