Hi Alcy,

Say, what is it with you and Buffy? Even when she's a good guy, she's really, really annoying. No wonder Willow goes around all grumpy all the time; she's got a best friend/partner who eats like a horse and never gains weight, who bullies her physically, and invades her personal life mercilessly. Willow must feel a sense of deja vu when she's around Faith.

Someone's got to tell these little old ladies to stay away from "dangerous and expensive" remedies for aphids on roses. A good blast from the garden hose or a spray of soap will do just as well, and not get you questioned by the cops.

I think the date went very well; much in contrast to the first attempt. You can see the difference without the spell in place; Tara is able to allow Willow to enjoy herself with Ashley, and nobody gets into a fight. Both ladies are being cautious, not to rush things and get into a tense situation. Nevertheless, their feelings for each other are expressed. My vote for best line of the chapter is, "Willow and Tara ... their names sounded pretty damn good together."

And then you leave us with a typical Alcy cliff-hanger: a call "from someone calling himself a guardian" sounds rather ominous.

A chapter well worth waiting for.

The back and forth between Willow and Buffy is just too funny! :laugh

Ashley was too cute about the date and good night kiss. Look forward to more.

Great update! Loved the Monopoly date. :) Ashley's comment about kissing goodnight and the kiss on the cheek were too cute.

Hey Kiwi,

A great, and long update. First off, we have a mention of Libby which seems like a nice gun over the fireplace. We'll see if Willow or the extremely irritating Buffy ever fires it. Giles and Faith are wonderful and very supportive of Tara. I like the way they talk her through the date logic and Ashley is adorable. Willow even lets her call her Officer Willow rather than Detective Willow. Wow, that's enamored! The date was very cute and seemed very comfortable and happy for everyone.

But what am I most excited about the title of the next part. Yay for revelations!

hey alcy,

just wanted to pop in and cheer you on. I really love the turn Willow and Tara took...starting over. the right way. also love the backstory with Tara's grandmother and the coven. and still loving Faith as the 'real' slayer and the interaction of these new scoobies (giles, faith, tara and ashley) is really lovely and familial.

I'm sorry about RL and hope things improve...vastly.

take care,

thebardgirl: You’re happy with the update? I’m happy with finally being able to update! Sorry that it has taken so long, there’s nothing worse than keeping kittens waiting.

I love humour…in case you didn’t guess already and I’m really glad you’re enjoying it and I’ve quickly seized on Ashley as comic relief because kids say the darndest things.

And there is definitely something exciting brewing on the horizon with this who le guardian business. I only hope I don’t keep you waiting too long.

wimpy0729: I think certain chapters just seem to grow to unmanageable lengths all by themselves :p And yes, the things that Willow is good at are definitely more important…hopefully she gets to put her skills at reciting the periodic table to use soon ;)

And Willow knows she has something special going with Tara and there’s nothing she’s going to do to screw it up…hmmm….:p

hells bells: Thanks so much, I love hearing from lurkers saying they’re enjoying my fics, definitely give me warm fuzzies. And I love long drawn out romances when it comes to Willow and Tara, gives so much scope for cuteness…and much naughtiness of course.

Artemis: hey you, as always, thanks so much for enjoying my little fics. And yes, I love writing Ashley…but I’m not giving away any future developments just yet :p I’ve deliberately made Tara and Willow almost as opposite as I can possibly make them…all the more fun in bringing them together.

And yes, the dark magic…I’m going to have fun with this :p You’re so very right…how on earth do you know that incredible odds, strength and determination are all going to be involved? You did forget to mention smoochies though…

ReVeN: Thanks so much for enjoying…and yup, kids are definitely the greates for those comic moments!

blue and green wings: You’re forgiven since you enjoyed it so much. Welcome back!

russ: Isn’t that what best friends are for? And yes, Faith and Buffy do share personality traits…but I’m not going to hint at anything there.

When it comes to little old ladies and prize winning roses…there is no expense to be spared of course.

I’m happy the way the date worked out too, it was so simple and such a contrast to any of Willow’s previous dates.

And there’s the now typical Alcy cliffhanger :p

BV: Poor Buffy always seems to get the rough end of the deal in my fics…even when she and Willow don’t hate each other, she’s reduced to being the comic relief. I hope to bring you more cuteness soon!

Irishgrl3: Thanks so much for reading and enjoying, savour that cuteness while it lasts ;)

pips: Hey you and thanks for reading. I’m having heaps of fun with Buffy, the poor girl does get a bit of a rough deal in my fics.

willowhanded: My thoughts exactly.

JustSkipit: Another one in the irritating Buffy camp :p Although at the moment I’m really loving having Faith as a part of the happy family with Giles, Tara and Ashley. It seems the next step is bringing the two different families together, a step which I think is going to be really interesting.

I can’t wait to be able to post the next chapter, a lot of things are going to happen…and yes, it should be ominous.

effrena: Thanks so much for the good wishes and leaving me feedback, always a sure fire way to brightening up my day :)

pips: Thanks, I’m trying my best, hopefully writing some more fic is going to be good therapy.

lipkandy: Thanks for the cheering. I’m right with you there, we’ve got a new group of Scoobies wildly different from canon and I can’t wait to explore it. I also look forward to majorly fleshing out the back story, those little old ladies haven’t finished their part yet.

Thanks so much for all the kitten feedback and good wishes. I really hate not being able to deliver updates as often as I would like but hopefully I can start to write a little more regularly now.

Much love to you all

Weeee.... an update... just when I was getting worried about you ? (ok, I was look for an update to the Evil Martians Invade Earth story but this will do nicely :) ). I do hope Real Life gets better for you, can't have a trouble Alcy, nope..:angel

On to the update; I see the humor is still there which is good. Faith is still direct as ever, embarrassing Tara with her way to truthful suggestions :lol . I mean "Send Ashley to her room and have lots and lots of sex of course." certainly did enter Tara's thought sometime or another.

Ashley is adorable, really... even though she did get between Tara and Willow. Literally even.. :)

Buffy's timing is... well Buffy-like almost. What I found most interesting about her call is that she referred to a man calling himself a guardian. Forgive me for being rather suspicious about that.... (besides, isn't Willow the guardian??)

Definitely with the suspicion here, yep... which is probably what was intended :lol

Great update, please keep updating like that :)

Apologies

Postby KiwiAlcyone » Mon Oct 11, 2004 9:02 pm

hey wonderful and gorgeous kittens,

Once again I find myself apologising for what has been a very hectic time in my life. I'm working at my new job at the museum while at the same time still trying to squeeze in hours at my old job. Not to mention the fact that I've gone and got myself a new girlfriend so I'd like to be just as busy with her in the future :luv2

My fics are coming along very very slowly but you'll be pleased to know that they are still coming along!! Hopefully an update for both Captain Red and R and R will be up in the next week if nothing else unexpected lands on my plate!

Hmm... does a new girlfriend count as 3rd job by the way ??.... running & ducking... : -->>:

I can't imagine why I didn't find R & R until today :confused . This story is amazing ! I'm really impressed with who W/T are, and how they interact with each other. I love it when an author takes their time, with getting the characters well acquainted.. with each other, before even considering a lot of intimacy. By the time these two come together, it'll be more than right :D .

Wow, I can't believe you guys are still keeping up with this fic even though I've been absent for way too long. I've only just started tinkering with the next chapter now and I'm not sure when it's going to be up.

Things are back to being shitty again when they were pretty good for a while, I seem to do a pretty damn good job of picking all the wrong girls.

I'm going to finish both of my fics so don't worry about there never being an ending. It's just a matter of getting back into the swing of things again and forgetting about stupid girls that break your heart.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all the wonderful Kittens out there!

I'm sorry. About that stupid girl who hurt you. But is her loss:wtf . So don't think too much. Cherr up!Move on! Somewhere there is the one perfect to you. I'm sure. I know is not easy. Have passed two relationships myself wich drowned. The first one was beatiful but my companion's family had to move and the distance was too much. We keep in touch and are now really good friends. :) The second is a nightmare, because we broke up but that git is a pain and don't let me live in peace.

I don't lose hope though.

Enought of that stuff. About the fic, is great, really. I love it. You left on the best part :( . Want to know if Willow will protect Tara and her daugh or become a menace to them :seesaw

Please, don't give up the story. We wait for more. So, write down already :kgeek

very much enjoying the interaction of the 2 detectives, and you have put a new and exciting twist to Willow making her the macdaddy around town...tehe

hope r/l is improving for you and I'll be watching this space for an update when you get a chance:wave
