New Fic: Time Slip

This isn’t the part that I was planning on putting up... I just wrote this a little while ago. Don’t worry, I will still have another part up tomorrow. I felt I had to get Anya back in. So, here it is–Part 13.



TITLE: Time Slip

Time Slip



Part 13



Anya sat in a run down motel room, eyes red from too much crying.



She had tried calling Tara, who was the only one the ex-demon felt she could talk to, but there had been no answer.



* I wonder what Xander’s doing.* Anya thought sadly. * I wonder if he’s sad like me?* She shook her head to clear it of those thoughts.



“I have to go on with my life. I’m going in to work,” she said to herself.



She got up and dressed. She grabbed her purse and keys to the shop and walked out the door.



As she was walking towards the shop, she saw Buffy, a man she recognized as being Willow’s ex-boyfriend, Oz, and— her heart stopped, Xander.



He was walking next to Buffy and Oz, talking, but he didn’t look his normal happy self.



* Maybe he IS upset like me... No, that can’t be it. He didn’t want to get married. He’s probably just tired or something.* Anya thought with a frown.



She hurried to the door of the Magic Box, and quickly opened the door and shut it behind herself. She looked through the blinds in the window and watched as the three people walked by, in the direction of Buffy’s.



* I wonder what’s up? There’s probably some new big bad. But they don’t need MY help. Not an ex-demon whose been around for mare than 1120 years.* She thought bitterly.



***Later at Buffy’s***



“Okay, do you know how long this is going to take? Cuz, I’m going crazy without being able to do anything.” Buffy asked.



Xander shook his head. He just couldn’t feel anything anymore. * Not without Anya.* He thought.



“Buffy do you mind if I use the phone really quick?” Xander asked suddenly.



Buffy replied with a frown, “Xander, how many times have I told you? You don’t have to ask.” Then she added, “Why?”



“I just want to try and call Anya again.” He answered truthfully.



“You didn’t tell me that you had her new number. Why didn’t you tell me?”



“I don’t. I’m going to try the Magic Box.” Xander said.



* She’s not going to be there, but...* “Okay.” Buffy said.



Xander picked up the phone and dialed.

“Hello? Magic Box, this is Anya, the owner speaking, how might I get you to spend money?” Anya answered the phone, but not with her usual cheeriness.



“Hello?” She asked again. “HELLO? Oh well, must be a wrong number.”

Xander hung up the phone quickly.



“What happened?” Buffy asked.



“She was there.” Xander replied.



“And you hung up on her?” Buffy asked incredulously.



“Well, what was I supposed to say?”



“I don’t know. Beg for forgiveness? ‘I’m sorry... I didn’t mean to break your heart and walk out on you at our wedding?’” Buffy said.



Xander just sighed.



They heard a whooshing sound and they looked up.



“Buffy, there’s a problem.” Lucy said solemnly. “I can’t get through to them.”

A nice part ExtraflameyWT! Glad to see Anya back, and I see she is still thinking about Xander. Then you have Xander wondering about Anya, but when he finally has the chance to talk to her he hangs up. Xander really needs to deal with his issues, and truly decide if he wants to be with Anya or not. One question though, I am a tad confused about Oz being back, but we don't see W&T. Did all three make it back, but this part didn't show W&T, or Lucy's comment about "I can't get through to them" allude to W&T still being stuck in the past in Salem? It's just the transition between the last chapter and this one confused me a little bit, but its still a great part!

Yep, I'm feeling better but had a really bad hangover in work today, last night I got completely wankered with my best friend ... boy, did we drink some cocktails!! Had a brilliant night despite my team drawing and letting in 2 AWAY goals ... Bastard, Bollacks and Bugger!!!



And then there was work today, I think I drank a whole water keg myself!!! Part 14



“What do you mean, you ‘don’t know,’ Oz?” Willow asked angrily. Sure, she was happy to see someone that could possibly help them, but Oz still held all those feelings for her.



Oz looked around again and said, “No one told me what to do once I got here. I assumed that Lucy would just open a portal and I would bring the both of you back to the future.”



Willow nodded, still trying to process things.



Tara reached for the redhead’s hand and she said, “Um, c-could we g-go now?” She asked, trying her hardest not to stutter.



Willow turned to her lover and her eyes softened. “Sweetie... I want to go home, too. Don’t worry, it will be okay, I promise.” She squeezed Tara’s hands reassuringly.



“No. I-I mean yes, I d-do want to g-go home, but I m-meant c-c-can we leave here?” Tara motioned towards the open door. Her stutter was back full force, and Willow was worried.



Willow nodded her head and she smiled at Tara lovingly.



Oz led the way out and they left the prison quickly.



“So, what do we do?” Willow asked Oz. “How did you get here, by the way?”



“The Ghost Roads. Lucy Hanover contacted Buffy when she found out what had happened to you, and they came to get me,” Oz replied evenly.



“Well, where’s Lucy?” Willow asked with a pout.



Oz looked at her and Willow knew that he would have told her if he knew anything.



Tara still felt like she shouldn’t be there while Willow and Oz were talking, even though Willow had her hand firmly grasped in her own. * Who’s Lucy Hanover?* the blonde wondered.



Willow, as though sensing the witch’s thoughts answered, “Lucy is a former Slayer, she was around in the late 1800's. She’s helped us before.”



Tara smiled at Willow shyly in thanks.



Willow nearly melted at the sight. * Goddess...* she thought.



Oz cleared his throat loudly.



“Okay, we have to figure out how we can get out of here.” Willow said, taking charge. “Do you think Lucy will come back soon?” She asked hopefully.



Oz shrugged. “I don’t know. Is there any way to contact her?”



“No.” Tara said. At the questioning looks she received, she continued, “She has to open a portal.”



Willow nodded, “Okay, then we’ll just wait for her to come back for us. She’ll come soon, I’m sure,” she said cheerily. But she couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling that she had in the pit of her stomach. She will... She’ll be here soon.*
