The irritating beep of the alarm clock woke Willow with a start. She lay in bed with a huge grin on her face as she recalled the events from the night before. She couldn’t believe she had actually kissed Tara. She hadn’t felt this happy since, well, she had never felt this happy before in her life. She had known Tara for such a small length of time, and already she was head over heels in love with her. She hoped Tara felt the same way about her and that she did not just want some passing fling with Willow. She remembered the love she had felt when Tara kissed her and knew she was just being paranoid. She jumped out of bed happily and got showered.
Tara woke with a smile as she remembered the night before. She was surprised when Willow had ran after her in the hallway but it soon became clear that they both felt the same way about each other. Tara knew she was falling in love with Willow the first day she met her, it was not long before Willow had captured her heart completely. She hoped Willow felt the same way and was not just using Tara as some way to escape feeling lonely since Willow had grown up like Tara; alone and friendless. Tara felt bad for thinking Willow could be capable of using anyone and put her worries down to the fact she was painfully insecure. She eventually climbed out of bed and went to get ready for work.

Giles was sitting in his apartment, attempting to concentrate on the book he had opened in front of him. He was busy thinking about Buffy and her search for Willow. She was still in LA with Angel trying to track Willow down. She had not given up hope, and though no one had said anything, it was obvious they were sceptical about ever finding her. Willow would have covered her tracks very well; she was a smart woman who could take care of herself. The phone ringing interrupted his thoughts.
“Hello?”
“Giles, its Buffy.”
“Ah hello Buffy. Any news?”
“Nothing yet. Angel has been up all night looking for information. Believe it or not, Cordelia is working too. We’re gonna head back early cos I think the other guys are getting kinda restless seeing as there really isn’t anything they can do to help.”
“Right, well I’m sure you will find something soon.”
“I hope so, I’m really worried about her.”
“I’m sure she will be fine wherever she is.”
“I hope so. Bye Giles.”
“Goodbye Buffy.”

Tara had just finished work with Willow. They hadn’t had a chance to speak about last night since they had been quite busy and Maggie was working with them for the first few hours of their shifts. But, now they were alone and they had just cleared up to go home. Tara closed her locker and turned the key. She turned round and felt herself pushed up against the lockers and Willow’s mouth pressed firmly against hers. After a brief kiss, they broke apart.
“I have been wanting to do that ALL day!” Willow exclaimed.
Once Tara had caught her breath, she replied “M-me too. I thought, m-maybe you had changed your mind. You know, a-about us.”
“No! No way.” Willow ran her hand gently down Tara’s cheek and Tara leaned into the touch, “Tara, do you want to come to my place?” Willow asked gently.
Tara’s eyes widened in realisation, “Y-your place? As in,” she coughed, “You’re place.”
“Yeah. I mean, if you want to.” Willow crossed her fingers tightly and Tara thought her heart might explode from thumping so loudly in her chest.
“Of course. Actually, c-can I go home and freshen up a b-bit. I’m all w-work dressed.”
“Sure. That will give me a chance to clean up my place. It looks like there is ten of me living there.”
Tara smiled and leaned in to kiss Willow before she headed home to change.

Willow was pacing anxiously around her room. She had showered and changed into a pair of dark red jeans and a green top. She had tidied up the place as best she could then began pacing, waiting for Tara to arrive.
<< Maybe I was too quick in asking her back to my place. What if she’s not ready? What if I’m not ready? But I am, I want her so badly. What if she doesn’t want me like I want her? >>

Tara was currently pacing at the bottom of the steps leading up to Willow’s apartment. She had been there for fifteen minutes trying to sort the thoughts stampeding through her brain.
(( What if she’s not ready? What if she’s changed her mind? What if I loose her after we…well you know? Ok Tara, get it together. Just take things one step at a time, starting with these steps. ))
Tara walked up to Willow’s apartment and knocked gently on the door and waited. Willow answered the door and Tara looked adoringly at this beautiful creature she was so undoubtedly in love with.
Willow opened the door to a stunning Tara. She was wearing a light purple skirt and a white top and had her hair down. All of Willow’s questions and doubts melted away as she realised just how much she loved this woman.
After staring at each other for quite sometime, Willow decided she better let Tara in and stepped back. She closed the door behind her and turned to face Tara who was chewing her bottom lip anxiously.
“Hey, you ok?”
“Y-y-yeah I’m f-fine.”
Willow stepped forward and took Tara’s hands in her own. “Tara, we don’t have to do anything we’re not ready for. I just want to spend time with you.” Tara pulled Willow into a hug that seemed to last forever.
After a while, they began kissing lovingly. As their kisses became more passionate, they pulled back to make sure they were both ready.
“Willow. I…” Tara had to say this before she went any further, “I love you. God, I love you so much.”
Tears started to fall down both of their faces and Willow ran her hand through Tara’s hair and answered, “Tara, I love you too. More than you’ll ever know, and I don’t want anything to come between that.”
“Me neither.”
They leaned forward in sync and began kissing again. Tara gently pushed Willow back onto then bed and climbed halfway on top of her. She looked into Willow’s eyes and realised that she had found her soul mate. She wouldn’t have to be alone again.

“Buffy, Riley, welcome home.” Giles stepped back to let Buffy enter. She had just returned from LA and Xander and Anya had dropped her off at Giles’ before heading home to catch some much-needed sleep.
“Hey, we just stopped by to let you know were back all in one piece.” Buffy said wearily.
“You look very tired.” Giles said concerned.
“Yeah, didn’t get much sleep in LA. Angel is a workaholic. He says he’s closer to finding Willow.”
“Buffy, if you do find Willow. What do you propose to do?”
“Well, we need to talk and after a while, well get her to come home.”
“And if she’s happier in LA.”
“That’s not even an option.” Buffy replied determined.

The sun streaming brightly through her window woke Tara from her slumber. She panicked as she realised it wasn’t her window, or her apartment. She relaxed when she felt someone stir beside her. She turned, and her breath caught in her throat as she saw the beautiful sleeping form of her lover. Her lover. Willow was hers! That thought made her happier than she ever thought she could be.
Willow blinked a few times to adjust to the light and turned to see the angelic face of Tara staring down at her. She smiled and leaned in for a good morning kiss. Willow pulled away after a while and rested her head on Tara’s chest while Tara played with her hair.
Willow sighed contentedly, “What time is it?”
“Hmm,” Tara picked up a clock on the bedside table, “Ten thirty.”
“Mmm, three hours before we have to work. What can we do to fill the time?”
Willow sat up to look at Tara who was giggling. She moved forward and kissed her with passion. She had begun kissing her neck when she heard the phone ring. Both girls sighed in disappointment.
“Hold that thought.” Willow said, before reaching over to answer the phone, “Hello?” she asked, not bothering to cover up her annoyance to the person at the other end.
“Good morning, my name’s Cordelia Chase, does Willow Rosenberg live here?”
Willow looked stunned then stumbled out, “Wrong number!”
“Willow?” Cordelia asked.
Willow hung up the phone then put it off the hook.
“Will, who was that?”
“Uh, no-one, wrong number.” Willow answered, still a bit shocked.
“Did they not say you’re name?”
“No, they asked for William Rosenberg – I supposed it’s easy to get confused. Now, where were we.” Willow said before climbing on top of Tara to finish what she started. She could deal with her past later, all she wanted now, was to be with Tara.
