Hmmm... this just gets more interesting with each update, DW. I'm really looking forward to what happens next. You know what I loved the most about this part?? Is when Willow corrected Tara about her last name. So beautiful.



I still don't trust Morrigan. I hope they figure out something soon.

I just love the scenes where the two of them work out a problem together, it shows how much Willow has matured, she's not trying to fix things herself, but is looking to her wife for assistance.



Morrigan's comment seems to have Willow curious, well, it's made me a tad intrigued also!

Yes, Willow reminding her about her name and Tara being so sure that they were meant to be together was so sweet. I could see Tara's resolve-face while she was saying that.



Also glad to see Willow recognizing that Ghaena was using the magick a little too freely at the party. Not sure who to trust between her and Morrigan.

I love how Tara's having this whole problem with Willow's lack of faith in them and Willow puts a stop to it just by reminding her they are a family. Just by mentioning their name.

I'm with singgirl; I've seen shorter! This was perfectly long enough. I really liked this section, and for some reason, I just loved the detail of Willow "chewing softly on the pad of her thumb." That line really gave me a clear image of her distress and concern. Nice. I like to see them working this out.

the beer comment was funny. glad Willow agreed with Tara about Ghaena's misuse of magic. it was sweet of Willow to say "Willow Rosenberg-Maclay" to show Tara how much she loves her and how strong their relationship is. Ghaena's reaction to stop teaching Emily should be interesting.

Micro mini update was just perfect. Tara reassuring Willow how they were meant to be and Willow ending it with 'Maclay' just had tears forming in my eyes. *sniff* that was just so sweet..and lovely...then the beer comment just made me chuckle..lol that was cute...

Now, back to the to the two who are the two who simply confuse the other two with the you know who's ancestry... (I actually understood that)...what's..up..with..that?

***Jennpurr – Yes, I’ll email you my missing fic. And… Awe… glad you liked the name thing… It was one of my rare moments of brilliance. I was sitting here…well… not HERE where I am right now, but you know what I mean… I was writing out the dialogue map for this scene (as I do with TYA specifically) and it just came to me. What better way for Willow to assure Tara that she feels as strongly about the two of them as she does.



***mollyig – I always felt on the show that the relationship, however beautiful, was a bit lopsided… as is the nature of things when one partner is a main character and the other supporting. I try very hard to even things out a bit in all of my W/T fiction… I feel that is it important to show that both of these women are flawlessly beautiful and beautifully flawed.



***Scout – This is totally OT, but you know, my first puppy was named Scout. I think of her every time I see you posting.



***xita – M’lady has returned! Huzzah!



***Loco2 – Yes, the beer thing… I was chatting with my beta reader… who incidentally, is my beta reader for everything except this fic… And she pointed out to me… Hey! Willow had a beer… and I was like… So? and she was like.. Um, breastfeeding much? LOL. So I of course put on my best, “I knew that” face and then proceeded to play it off… which I did. Ner.



***BethanyB3 – Gee, Beth… the way you talk it’s as if you somehow **knew** that there was going to be a mention of the whole breastfeeding vs beer drinking thing… hmmm… how could that be?



***Thanatopsis – For some reason I have the seventies song “Let’s Get Together” or something like that… title wise… “Whether times are good or bad or happy or sad….” Sappy though it is… it’s how a strong couple works through things. W/T are the strongest couple I know… well… along with Keili and her partner.. who are just the cuuuuutest pair to hang out with.

I think its wise that Tara take over Emily's lessons, at least until they can figure out whats going on with this hair thing and about Willow's heritage. I can't wait to read more.

Loved the Emily update. Poor Willow and Tara – Emily may have had a good birthday, but it was a long day for her two mommies. But Emily is such a sweetie – you definitely have a talent for writing kids. Thanks!

Wonderful updates DW, and I am sorry to hear about your computer trouble! I liked how together W&T discuss their fears/concerns in order to reach a positive solution, rather than keeping things bottled-up inside where they can fester, and cause more harm later on. I too loved how steadfast/unwavering Tara was with making it clear her and Willow were destined to be together, and how Willow corrected Tara by replying "Maclay" (ie when Tara said Willow Rosenberg) to convey that her heart indeed knows that what Tara is saying is the truth.



Still curious about Morrigan's comments, and I can't wait to find out if she is only trying to stir-up trouble (and if this is the case, why?), or if what she is hinting at has some truth to it (ie if this is the case, are Ghaena's motives completely honest?). And I look forward to how Ghaena not only verbally reacts, but what steps (whether positive or negative towards W&T) she actively takes in response to Tara taking over Emily's lessons. Lastly, Emily is just so precious, and I loved how she only saw the positive about her birthday, rather dwelling on the negative aspects (ie this conveys so well what a special child she is). And I thought it was significant how Emily wants to know if she will go to "Avalon", with Willow having to control her feelings/mask the upsetness by answering "Maybe... Someday..." Can't wait for the next part!

DW this latest update was quite intriguing! All I can say is that if Willow's dream is prophetic in any way, W&T better get Ghaena out of their lives (especially in respect to Ghaena's influence over Emily). I got a kick out of Willow's asides/comments to her other self (as a mercenary), especially when she thought ("Go 13th century me! Kick some butt! This dream is probably important. I wonder if I should take notes... " ).



I assume Morrigan's insinuation about Willow's red hair is in fact alluding to Willow's ancestry (ie "That you are born of Cymru, yet speak with a Scottish brogue."). With this in mind, I am curious how this factors into Morrigan's/Ghaena's motivations in regards to Willow and her family? Lastly, in the dream Ghaena claims to be a friend, but in the flickering light her mercenary self see's another face. Therefore, I am intrigued if this implies some one is impersonating Ghaena, or if this in fact implies Ghaena isn't really a friend, but rather an enemy (ie at the end of the dream one assumes throwing the daggers at Willow was to harm, not protect this other Willow). Well this part gives me more questions, and I can't wait to see what happens next!
