Hmmmm, such a tangled web you weave.

This is getting so interesting, and the twists and turns just keep me on the edge!

Thanks for the update!

Quick replies

Postby DarkWiccan » Tue Oct 01, 2002 8:28 am

Okay.. actually found 2 seconds to rub together to do some quick replying...

***areslei - good. stay suspicious of everyone.

***vampno12 - yes, Emily loves school and would even put up with an evil teacher to stay in it. So much like her Mama. But luckily, Mama knows best.

***saule77 - That's fine, you don't have to like anyone. And Avalon has always been a favorite mythos of mine. I find myself using it in lots of stories. Glad you enjoy. :)

***bethanyb3 - Glad you asked the "mommy/mama" question. I thought long and hard about it. The reason I have Emily calling Tara "mommy" is because Tara gave birth to her. Willow is more of the "papa" but being female I translated the "p's" for "m's" and got "mama". However, I have already decided that when Michelle starts talking she will likewise refer to Tara as "mommy" and Willow as "mama" because it is what has already been established by her older sis (and it saves us all from confusion). I myself find it interesting that so many other fic authors have the two women identified the other way round, and I am just as curious about their motivations to do so.

***barnabasvamp - Ah, Shakespeare... love that guy. Glad you are enjoying all the twists. Hang on as things are about to get even more bumpy!

Cheers to all!

great update :grin so Ms. Henckle is not Le Fay, but is working for her, wonder if Le Fay is the guidance counselor or is she working for her too? can't wait for the next part.

Dude, we're surrounded by perverts!

Oh wow! Great update. I'm very relieved that Emily's okay. The fact that Willow said it was okay for her to miss school just proves even more how much she loves her - not that anyone doubted it in the first place! Okay, as I still don't get the red hair thing, I'm going to read this fic again all the way through. *Deep sigh*. Ahhhh, the tortures I must suffer when I so long to be writing my history essay. (That was sarcasm by the way. I never quite figure out typed sarcasm, so I always tell people. That's probably just me being strange, right?)

And to think I actually thought Ms Henckle was Le Fay, I should have known better, things are never that simple in DarkWiccan world. :hmm

This fic twists and turns like a twisty, turny thing, looking forward to the next update :bounce

DarkWiccan: Great update, I am SO glad that Emily is safe, I was worried there for a second. Just when we all thought that they had figured out who Le Fay is you go and throw us another twist, and give us more questions: If Ms. Henkle isn't Le Fay who is? Is she working for Le Fay? Is it Ms. Geary? Or is it someone else? I'm dying to know more. I can't wait to read more.

P.S. I think I figured out what makes Willow and Tara "Special" but I'm still confused about the hair thing.

Postby DarkWiccan » Wed Oct 02, 2002 8:53 am

Well, thanks to a flat tire, I have some time for replies this morning...

Noticed I accidentally missed out on a couple of peeps yesterday. I'm so sorry... It wasn't personal.. they just didn't copy over to the reply page like usual and I was going on memory of who wrote what.

So here I go making up for it:

***The Rose24 -- Good question... what is Henckle's deal? We'll find out.

***Mollyig -- Yes, she was subservient toward Geary. But is that b/c Geary is Le Fay, or b/c Geary is in a position of authority over her at the school? Maybe Henckle is just a perv and the only place she could find work was at Sunnydale Elementary.... hmmm....

***Grimaldi -- Yes, speculate all you want, for I know all the answers, and I ain't tellin.... yet

***Miss1234Kitty -- Yes, got the sarcasm, though online it sometimes is better to add a disclaimer :grin (Skips off to read Tears in Heaven)

***tkheaven -- Yes, Emily is a brilliant child. Maybe a little too brilliant....

***chronic -- Nope nothing is ever simple, my mind is a very twisty, turny place....

***LoneWolf22 -- Okay... in an effort to put the hair confusion to rest... let me just say that the question will be answered with true clarity before the end of the fic.

***MadeinNZ -- Hehehe.... paranoia is fun to play with... :devil

***barnabasvamp -- "bumpy road" my goodness all you kittens are so very naughtily minded...

***beatnickjackie7777 -- Just chiming in to say thanks! and I love your screen name!

Cheers

Before I forget...

Postby DarkWiccan » Wed Oct 02, 2002 11:27 am

There have been one or two peeps voicing their confusion over Ghaena's immortality.

Question: If Ghaena sacrificed her immortality to travel back in time to deliver the blessing to the warrior and bard, how could be be immortal now?

Answer: Waaaaaaaay back in the near beginning of this story Ghaena explained that after she delivered the message to the bard and warrior, the Goddess asked her to take on another quest, that being to protect the child who one day would restore Avalon. Therefore, the Goddess restored Ghaena's immortality.

See, I really do think about these things :grin

Perpetual Anticipation...

Postby DarkWiccan » Sat Oct 05, 2002 5:30 pm

Is good for the soul but bad for the heart.

Yes I know my dear kitties, the wait is very annoying... and I'm absolutely positive I have lost my fair share of readers due to slow updating... but I guarantee it will be worth is all in the end...

And yes, the end is coming...

I have decided that in an effort to sustain a level of mystery to whom Le Fay is and several other dangling threads that I am not going to post another update until the story is completely finished on my end and then I shall post the exciting build-up, climax and denoument all at once in one gigantic "MEGA-POST"!!! And it is gonna be mega... we're talking a couple hundred pages.

So if ya'll don't mind hanging in there, with any luck the MEGA-POST should be ready to go in a week to ten days.

Cheers and love to all of the kitties who have stuck through to the end...

DW-

No worries, I can't imagine you having lost any readers, because we all want to know what happens here. Pens is W/T home now, so it's like waiting for the season premier all summer. When Buffy was good we all used to do that, right? Anyway, thanks for the wonderful story, and I'm looking forward to the MEGA-POST. :)

Readers still here - no one going anywhere. And a MEGA-POST - I should stock up on supplies now for the marathon reading event. :D

Loved the last update and I especially loved the twist, although I'm still not sure who they can trust completely, but we're getting there. Poor little Emily. I felt so bad when she was so helpless. She needs a dark arts defense class.

Thanks again and looking forward to the big ending! :)

DarkWiccan: I'm kinda torn, I mean I'm glad that the Mega-Post is coming, but I'm also gonna miss all the little updates here and there, plus I'm kinda bummed that its almost over, this is a really great fic and I just hate to see it end. Anyway thats just my two cents on things. I can't wait to read more.

DW,

I've been remiss in actually praising this fic in this thread...my bad. I've also been away from the board for a while due to any number of huge pot holes in this wacky road we call life. So, now that I'm all caught up with your fic just gotta say...WOW!

Looking forward to the MEGA-POST, but will wait patiently as I'm sure your still recovering from your weekend in the world of the Ren-Faire. Hope it was great.

Ok, so I am sooooooo very late in catching up with this fic, but I made it in time for the MEGA-POST!

Heh, just a random thought, but if Willow is technically Gabrielle's descendant, I guess that puts a whole new spin on the "Strong like an Amazon?" comment;)

I just had a quick question: Is the Mega-Post going to be put here or somewhere else? The reason I ask is because, doesn't ezboard have a limit to how many pages you can post for fic, if I'm wrong then sorry its just me being curious.

Quick Question/Answer Post

Postby DarkWiccan » Mon Oct 21, 2002 11:35 pm

To answer the question about fic page limits. Yes, there is a limit to how many "characters" can fit in a given post. So it may take a couple of posts to get the entire end-part up. But I am putting the end all at once no matter how many postings it takes. There are several fics on this board that total out to well over 600 pages (when transferred into a Word doc) and "There You Are" is clocking in right now at around 400 pages give or take.

That number is total pages for the entire story, not the number of pages posted so far.

So, as I have beggingly asked for patience in the past, I will continue to do so and again plead that you all please stay as wonderfully patient as you have been and stick around because the end is indeed nigh.

Thanks and Cheers

DW
