Pairing Willow/Tara, Sarah/? Alicia/? Sam/? Brian/?

Disclaimer: Willow and Tara are the trademarks of Joss, ME, UPN etc. Sarah, Alicia, Brian, Sam and Dave are mine.

Note: Story summary: This is ten years after series seven, Seeing Red did happen, Tara was wounded...not killed.

This is based after a co-op fic i took part in. Ten years after the hellmouth closed, some Slayers were losing their powers, this was due to the actions of a necromancer named Bacon and a vampire named Reaper. Things got so hectic even Buffy and Faith got involved. Dawn was the watcher in a place called Misty Cove having trained when she was old enough. Sarah had found love only to have it snatched away.

Willow and Tara have travelled, helping here and there, ever the Scoobies, growing in power and love every day. Now they come to Moonlight Bay, looking for peace but unknowingly stepping into another apocalypse, shoulda guessed...Sunnydale...Moonlight Bay...yeah you get me lol. The start f chapter one focuses primarily on introducing my fic characters but W/T will get involved more heavily in the next update.

Enough of the yap, here's chapters one and two. Smut alert. No cliff hangers...yet:devilish

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 1

Life itself seems to have passed her by, driven out of town at sixteen, on the run. And why? Because she’s a witch. She has done nothing wrong, just been herself. She ran from England, and invisible, boarded a flight for the USA. In Misty Cove she lived on the streets as the town tore itself apart, an ancient Necromancer who had in their time, tormented her Grandmother, whose maiden name she now carries. She joined with Logan, Sasha and D’gui, Sean, Jills and Trent, she didn’t trust at first but she found love right there in Misty Cove, only to have it torn away. She overcame her most private fears, achieved great things, allowed the spirit of her Grandmother to finally rest, only for the last act of spite, just as The Reaper died, he took Sean with him into the fiery depths of Hell.

Sarah Elliot’s life had been torn apart, seemingly over at seventeen. She did the only thing a confused teenager knows, she left town. Again. This time because she couldn’t handle the memories that every passing moment in Misty Cove gave her. Now this witch, raven black hair down to her back, invisible to the world, found herself in another small coastal town, Moonlight Bay. “Nice name,” she muttered to herself, making a hiker jump and look around. Sarah stayed still while the spooked man left and then muttered, “Siplah” to remove the spell she had placed on herself. At least she was in better condition than last time, her education, and money Logan had given her. She also knew she could contact him if she needed help, he was the first in Misty Cove who even took any notice of her…she misses him now. Maybe some time she would go back to Misty Cove, but at least she didn’t have to live on the streets for now.

Sarah’s phone beeped. It would be Logan or Jills, she knew that. Sarah took out of her bag what seemed to be a round makeup case with flip up mirror, she then turned the mirror and spoke into the phone. “Speak to me.”

“Hey,” a male voice came out strongly from the speaker. “Just seeing how you are.”

“Always so protective Logan,” she jibed. “I’ve come to a place called Moonlight Bay, I might spend some time here.”

“Ok,” she could hear the concern in his voice. “Sarah?”

“Yeah?”

“You know where to come if you need help, Sean’s death hit us all hard.”

“I know, look, I’ll be all right, I just need some time…some quiet.”

“Yeah I know.”

“I gotta go find a place to sleep,” Sarah pauses “and no I don’t mean an abandoned building, I think I can probably manage to rent a room.”

“Ok, I’ll talk to you later. Miss Summers sends her best.”

Sarah flipped the mirror again and gave her face a critical lookover before heading into town. Little did she know that she would not get much quiet here…

***

Later that afternoon finds Sarah entering a building with “To Rent” in the window. She walked looking for the landlords office. The building wasn’t too shabby, after all, Sarah had spent some time in the past on the streets so anything with a bed and breakfast was a plus. Sarah walks up to a brown door with no windows and knocked. “Come in.” Sarah entered the room to find a middle aged man, the landlord. He was wearing a grey suit and had receding blonde hair. He was sitting at a brown desk with a chair on the other side for visitors to sit in. He looked an easy going man. He looked Sarah over as she took in the room. Beige walls with watercolours and oils, the carpet was grey. There weren’t too many home comforts in this office, but on the desk facing the man was a picture frame, Sarah couldn’t see the picture. Sarah sat down. “My name’s Dave, what can I do for you?

“I was looking for a room, I’m new here.”

Dave looked over his sheets looking for what they had available. “What’s your name?”

“Sarah Elliot.”

“Well Ms. Elliot, we seem to have one room available, but there is another teenage girl like yourself living in it. Her name’s Alicia. Is that ok for you?”

“Yeah, how much will it be?”

“We charge fifty dollars a week with three weeks up front. Of course, you will see the room before any money changes hands and you’ll split the rent with Alicia if you do take the room.”

Sarah and Dave walk out of the office. They walk up a stairwell, there is light vandalism on the walls, two teens run down the stair past Dave and Sarah. As they pass one room, Sarah gets a slight tingle, something that isn’t right, well not evil, just…as quick as the feeling came, it had gone. Sarah and Dave walked into the room to find a young woman, about Sarah’s age, seventeen, lying on the couch. The woman was a red head, her hair about shoulder length. Alicia looked a little gothic with pale skin and dark makeup, she wore a comfortable loose white T Shirt and blue jeans. Alicia got to her feet and walked over to Dave and Sarah. Sarah immediately felt something she had learned to associate with the powers of a slayer. When she spoke, her voice was honey soft. “Hey Dave, hey, erm…”

“Sarah,” Dave supplied. She’s here to share the apartment with you.” Looking around the apartment, Sarah saw that there was a couch, a TV and the essentials (oven, freezer, washing machine, etc). The room was tidy and the couch had a cushion either end. Three doors were closed, they must be bedrooms and a bathroom. “I’ll leave you two to it, I’ll be up to see what you think later Sarah.” Dave left the room, Alicia sat down and invited Sarah to do likewise.

***

Meanwhile, the local school is abandoned except for two teenage boys sitting in front of computers, one of whom are listening to a personal CD player. The guy on the left, with some punk rock sort of tune coming from his earplugs, had black hair and a game of Snake was being played on his screen, you gotta love the classics…the other guy with brown hair was typing away with fast fingers. With a flourish, the brown haired guy finishes what he’s typing. “Save and print.” He clicks a few buttons and heads towards the printer.

“Hey Brian?” The snake had crashed into it’s body leaving the player free to look around as he spoke.

“Yeah Sam?”

“You done?”

“Yuh huh, just heading off now little bro.”

“Sweet.” Sam stands up. He has a gawky lankiness about him seeming taller than he should. His brother, Brian is shorter but more built from days in the gym. “You going to the Bay later?” Sam was talking about the main local hangout.

“Yeah I guess. I gotta shower at home first.” Brian picked up his bag and shouldered it. “You go on down there.”

“’K, see you later bro.” The two walk out of the door and head their separate ways.

***

The couple sat on a park bench, two women, one with red hair and a blonde. They sat, with the red’s arm around the blonde’s shoulder and the blonde’s head on the red’s shoulder.

Willow and Tara had travelled since the collapse of Sunnydale, now, they were looking for a place for peace, a place they could be happy. They both knew however, that even with the Hellmouth sealed, they would always find a vampire population. Ever the Scoobies, Willow and Tara had helped out where they could, when Buffy needed their help in Misty Cove, they were right there helping to avert yet another apocalypse, nearly at the cost of all of their lives. With several “Hell Gates” around the world, Willow and Tara had seen all that they had encountered in Sunnydale, Vampires, Demons, a necromancer who once held the power of a God. The sun was dipping under the horizon, “Time to go home and play?” the red whispered to her companion.

Tara gave a thin smile, knowing just what type of “play” Willow had in mind. She leant over, biting Willow’s bottom lip, Willow let out a growl of pleasure, her tongue flicking in and out, teasing Tara, showing Tara just how much she needed her, telling her without needing to speak that she was her everything, that what they had was meant to last forever, that it would last forever and a day. Tara’s arms wrapped around Willow as the two shared a hungry kiss before pulling away, linking arms to walk home.

Chapter 2

“So, what do you think about her?” Dave was sat in his chair and opposite him was Alicia.

“She’s a little private over why she came here but I don’t get any evil bad guy junkies from her.” Tara pauses a while eyeing her Watcher. “As a roommate I don’t see any problems either. What’s the plan for tonight? I just go round the cemeteries?”

“No, the vampire numbers are rising and we need to find out where. Of course with less Slayers now with there not being many who have kept their powers, the numbers are bound to rise. I think you should go round all the local hangouts. The Starlight, The Bay, GK, all those places.”

“GK?!? You want me to hang around a gay club? What if someone hits on me?”

Dave smirks at his Slayer’s overreaction, “Well, Sarah needs to learn her way around town, why don’t you take her with you.”

Alicia thinks for a moment, “hmm, she can look after herself it looks like, but come on, GK? I’ve never met a gay vampire.”

“But vampires can still sire from that club Alicia.”

“Hmm, ok, a night on the town it is.”

Dave stands up as does Alicia, “Al? Be careful.”

“Yes boss.” Alicia gives a mock salute and walks out of the room.

***

Upstairs, Sarah is sat on the couch, legs curled beneath her, looking at some photos. Pictures of her and the gang back in Misty Cove, pictures of Sean. Sarah’s mascara was smudged with tears as she put the photo she was looking at to the back and looked at one with her and Sean, Sean’s arm around her shoulders. They looked happy, content. Sarah’s face held a weak smile, that was a private moment ’till Jills snuck up on them with her camera. A tear dripped down her face leaving a black trail from her mascara in its wake. She felt Alicia come near the room and tried to clear her face up. Drat, she had left her bag too far away to put her photos away.

The door opened and Alicia walked over. “Hey Sarah, up for going out tonight? Hey what’s wrong?” Alicia looked at Sarah and then saw the photos in her hand. “Hey, who’s that cutie?” Sarah didn’t answer. “Ex boyfriend? He hurt you?”

Sarah’s voice was composed hiding her feelings and quickly getting her emotions under control as she had had to so much in the past, before Sean when that wasn’t necessary. “He was my everything.”

“And he went out with another girl huh?”

Sarah shook her head weakly, “no, he…died.” Alicia looked shocked and made apologetic noises. Tara sat down on the couch and put her arm around Sarah drawing her closer. Sarah felt strangely safe, apart from the fact that Alicia’s a Slayer of course. “Dave your Watcher?”

Alicia looked shocked for a moment then smiled, “I guessed you knew, so how do you know I’m a Slayer anyway?”

“You gotta promise not to freak out on me yeah?” Sarah waits as Alicia nods her head. “I’m a witch.”

“Yeah right.” Alicia looked unconvinced.

“Letawf.,” Sarah quietly said. A small ball of light rose from Sarah’s palm. “Vampires hate that one.” Alicia looked on with mild interest in her eyes. “You feel so like Sasha, she was powerful as well. You ever heard of Misty Cove?”

“Major bad mojo? First Bacon and then The Reaper down there if I remember what Dave told me.” Sarah nods. “Pretty big stuff, Buffy and Faith themselves were down there at one point.” Suddenly realisation dawns on Alicia’s face, “there was an “unexplained” death…”

“Mmhm, now you know why I needed to get away for a while. Looks like I found the right place huh?” Sarah sighs, nothing is ever quiet if a town needs a Slayer.

***

“Mmf,” Willow pulled away from Tara’s kiss. “We really need to find more time to do this.”

Tara looked at Willow, on her side in bed, “Yeah I know, get away from the Scooby life and let us have some Willow and Tara time without having to worry about vampires.”

Willow grinned as she pulled Tara in closer to her naked body, Tara sat up to straddle Willow, her hips getting into a rhythm as her hands stroked Willow’s breasts. Tara played with the nubs making them stick out and hard in her fingers. Willow groaned Tara’s name as Tara started to move her hand down Willow’s body, her fingers brushing Willow’s skin making little steps down between her breasts, down her stomach and down towards her target. Tara’s fingers played with moist lips as Willow groaned over Tara taking her sweet time.

“You like?” Tara asked cheekily, still playing around the lips knowing the torture her lover was going through. Willow moaned in frustration, unable to speak, Willow started to rock her hips in time with Tara’s as Tara’s fingers were drawn in deeper. Tara gave Willow a vixen like smile, still not giving Willow what she knew she wanted and needed, begged and cajoled for. Tara stuck her three fingers deeper now, flicking around Willow’s clit, sweat streaking down her body, trailing in between her breasts. Willow, in pain half way through an agonizing orgasm screamed Tara’s name and Tara knew that this was the time, her fingers going deep into Willow as her body stiffened riding through the orgasm, Willow sagged onto the bed panting, exhausted. Tara was still not done, now with her tongue, she moved down Willow’s body, between her full breasts, Willow was now completely helpless to Tara, just the way Tara liked it as her wandering hand and tongue had their way with Willow’s body. Tara withdrew her fingers from Willow and licked each one, mm Willow-y goodness. Tara now massaged the front of Willow’s still stiff shoulders until she was able to relax, still heavily breathing. Tara got off of her lover to lie beside her, the sheets now smelling musky. Tara laid there for a while, satisfied.

Chapter 3

Alicia and Sarah had stepped out onto the street and no sooner had they gone half a block, a tall male stepped out in front of them. "What are two girls like yourselves doing alone? Surely someone should walk with you."

Alicia shrugged him off as he tried to put his arm around her shoulders, "We're fine," she bit out hoping that the guy would take the hint.

The guy didn't, "Hey, you thirsty?" Alicia sighed and shook her head, that was the oldest chatup line she had heard to date. Sarah edged back a little, drawing a small rod out of her pocket and making a quick movement with her arm to release two hidden sets of hinges turning the rod into a full blown staff. Alicia saw this in the corner of her eye and took that to mean that the witch had sensed something wrong. The male interrupted her train of thought as he snarled, his skin tightening over his face, "Well I am," he lunged for Alicia's neck, Alicia's Slayer reflexes came into play as she ducked under, the vamp hadn't seen Sarah's earlier action and a shocked look came upon his face at the sight of wood seemingly growing out of his chest before he turned to dust.

Alicia turned into a glare from Sarah, "How long have you been doing this?"

Alicia shrugged, "A couple months, why?"

Sarah turned away slightly, "Pur-lease, how come you didn't notice he was a vamp 'till I got ready to dust him?"

"Well not all of us are witches," Alicia retorted defensively, her voice rising. "Besides, I would have had him."

"Yeah you're no witch but you are a Slayer, next time you might not be so lucky!" Sarah walked on ahead in silence, she knew she would regret her outburst, and when that time came, she would apologise. She had been on patrols for a year with a more experienced Slayer and Alicia would learn in her own time how to pick out a vamp, Sarah just hoped that Alicia's time wouldn't come to late.

***

Willow and Tara hung around what was reputed to be the hottest gay bar in town, people's attitudes here were more open then a lot of places that would have looked down on a homosexual couple. The dance floor was packed as couples moved their bodies in time with the beat. "Well this is swingin'" Willow shouted out to Tara as they sat at a table, "Wanna show these kids how to really dance?"

Tara grinned as she grabbed Willow's hand and dragged her onto the floor. Willow was dressed in a red tee shirt with no sleeves and blue jeans while Tara wore a black crop top and tight black jeans. Willow's arms snaked around Tara's waist as she gyrated her hips, Willow's arms keeping a rhythm with Tara's hips, enjoying the skin on skin contact. Couples stopped to watch as Willow stooped low to move down Tara's body, cupping her ass with her hands and then moving down her legs before up again. Willow stood up straight with Tara keeping the rhythm in time with the music. Willow's arms again went around Tara's hips as she danced until the end of the song.

"Woo, some time since I've done that," Tara said, slightly out of breath. "You are a vixen Willow Rosenberg-Maclay."

Willow shrugged, it was a fair cop after all. "Hey, is that who I think it is?" Willow points out a raven haired young girl.

***

Sarah and Alicia had done a sweep of the area around The Starlight and had gone inside, Alicia hadn't noticed any vamps and Sarah hadn't either. They walked in silence as they headed towards the next club, GK. Sarah turned to Alicia, reading embarrassment still lingering after their argument earlier. "Look, I'm sorry. I came here to get away from the whole vamp scene and here I am, again, with a Slayer."

Alicia sighed, "You were right though weren't you, most Slayers would have picked that guy out a mile off."

"And we dealt with him, Sasha had been Slaying for a couple of years already before got to Misty Cove, she knows her stuff. You'll get it as well." The two girls stopped walking, Sarah looked at Alicia a while then smiled, she drew Alicia into a warm hug before they walked on.

***

Inside the club, Sarah was dancing alone, Alicia standing in the corner looking bored. Sarah went over to Alicia and dragged her onto the floor, "Conspicuous much," Sarah muttered drawing Alicia closer but not so much as to get right in her personal space, cajoling Alicia with her own movements to dance, most of the couples drew away to watch another couple in the middle of the floor, the song ended and Sarah looked up into the familiar eyes of Willow.

"Hey Sarah." Willow shouted across, her arm now linked with Tara's. Willow gave Sarah a mock stern look, "You're not mourning Sean by trying to hit on a girl are you Sarah? Cos that's not good." Dawn had been in contact and told Willow and Tara the events leading to Sarah leaving town.

Sarah laughed weakly, the name of her dead lover bringing a few tears to her eyes, "And change my sexuality? I think I'll stick with the guys."

Tara looked across at Alicia, "So who's this young lady?"

Alicia looked nervous, she didn't know who these people were, but Sarah seemed to and was more than happy to take charge. "Her name's Alicia, she's a Slayer." Willow and Tara shared a look, like Sarah they had come here for some peace, they also knew that a Slayer was never there by accident. Sarah turned to Alicia, "and these two are Willow and Tara Rosenberg-Maclay."

"Sisters?" Sarah asked.

Sarah giggled, "Nope, wives. In fact, you have Willow to thank for being a Slayer." Sarah turned to Willow, "Here I am trying to get away from all things vampy and I'm roomed with a Slayer, that's a turnout for the books."

Tara walked over to Sarah and put her arm around her shoulders, Tara and Sarah had grown close in their time in Misty Cove and Tara knew the last thing Sarah must want is to be reminded of what she had called home for the past year. "We can leave town if you want hunny," Tara muttered, knowing that familiar faces served as a reminder for those that were lost.

"No, that's ok. I guess if something's going down you'll want to be here, besides, I have no right to tell you where you can and can't go. Anyway it's time we checked out the Bay, have a good night ladies." Sarah turned to Alicia and the two left the club.

Moonlight Bay

Postby robotguru » Tue Feb 24, 2004 9:04 am

Disclaimer

The part in Italics comes mainly from Seeing Red (slightly different ending of course...). I took the dialogue from a transcript and added actions.

Chapter 4

Willow watched Sarah and Alicia leave, a look of concern on her face. “Tara?”

“Mmhm?”

Willow stayed quiet for a while thinking about what she felt…what she thought she felt anyway and Gaia please let her be wrong. “Did you feel something from Sarah? It felt all…like…”

Tara knew what Willow was getting at, memories of an event twelve years ago, an event that nearly tore them apart.

“Mmmm - Xander!”

Willow pulled out of the hug and looked at her partner, still exhilarated from the rush she had shared with Tara. “Okay, not quite the response I was fishing for.”

“No, he’s here.”

Tara looked out of the window as Willow heads for a dresser Willow asked her partner a question. “Think they’re making up?”

Tara saw Xander walking towards Buffy looking awkward. Tara grinned thinking of the “making up” she and Willow had been doing. “I hope so, that’s the best part.”

Willow walked over to Tara who now had her back to the window as Buffy and Xander talk outside. Suddenly there are gunshots from outside and Willow’s shirt has blood on it. Tara looked confused, a bullet had hit her shoulder and blood had splattered onto Willow. “Your…shirt…” Tara fainted in pain as the bullet remained lodged in Tara. Willow looked up, her eyes red…

Tara had spent time in a coma from the shock, meanwhile, Willow had gone on a dark magic rampage destroying Warren. Giles had come back from England to combat Willow with powers borrowed from the Covern, Willow powerdrained him and headed for Kingsman’s Bluff raising a Satanic temple. Willow felt the pain of the Earth’s population and had set out to stop it, by destroying the Earth. The same pain had awakened Tara. Xander had gone to talk to Willow, tap into what was left of her humanity, with Tara helping with her mind, Willow was soon “brought back”.

Tara had felt a darkness in Sarah, something that Sarah looked to be holding back but it was there. Sarah had been more careful with her magic after Willow’s warnings of what can happen with the abuse of magic but since Sean’s death…

Everyone knew Sean couldn’t be raised, he was dragged to Hell itself, the last act of spite of a defeated foe.

“I don’t know baby, maybe it’s good that we’re here.”

Tara and Willow started dancing again. Nothing they could do for the girl, for now.

***

Sarah walked alongside Alicia, magic had indeed seemed the easy way recently. Willow had warned her that magic always has consequences, her mother had also told her all about the “Three times rule”, but Sarah felt she didn’t have the energy to live any more, she was pulling more and more from her magic to keep herself hidden. She and Alicia soon made it to The Bay.

***

Inside The Bay, we see two boys dancing, Brian and Sam were having a good time, as lads do.

Two girls in leathers approached them and started making smalltalk.

***

Sarah and Alicia walked into the club, looking around they began to dance. Suddenly, Sarah’s eyes fixed onto a dark haired youth…”No way.”

Alicia looked over at Sarah, startled. Tears had started to form in Sarah’s eyes. “What’s up Sare?”

Sarah quickly composed herself and shook her head, no way could that guy be Sean, Sean was dead she knew that. Two girls in leathers approached the guy and someone who looked to be his brother. The girls made smalltalk with the guys and then started flirting. Soon they started to head towards the door. Alicia’s gaze snapped onto the girls at the same time Sarah checked her bag for her staff, Sarah and Alicia hadn’t come to dance, they had been looking for vampires and here were two right in front of them…

***

“Hey cutie, what brings you to The Bay?” A dark haired girl and walked right up to Brian pushing herself against him, letting her breasts touch his chest. The blonde had walked up to Sam, her gloved hand trailing his face.

“Just having a good time.” Brian felt his arm snaking around the girl who was now moving towards a quiet corner of the club near the door. Soon, they all found themselves outside in an alley, Brian looked at the dark haired girl and recoiled back, the skin around her face was taut and two fangs glistened in her mouth…

***

Willow and Tara had found themselves a taxi to take them home, Willow nestled into the taller girl’s body, her arm around her shoulders. She felt the urge to kiss her right there but…maybe it would be a good idea to wait until they were…alone.

Hey, this is pretty cool. I like where you're going with it, and your original characters seem pretty cool and actually fairly believable. Nice job so far.

Willow: Hey Buff. One more thing. Buffy: Yeah? Willow: I’m gay. Buffy: Okay, Will. Xander owes me ten bucks.
