I'll echo the sentiment shared by the other kittens and send my condolences Frau, it's tragic how frail life can be and hopefully it just leads us to live our own lives to the fullest extent. :) Take your time on an update, we can all understand that you may need a little time :)

I'm sorry this has taken me so long, and as I have not finished my part, I feel like I should not continue this round. I am sorry, thank you very much for being understanding of this, and i am sorry for makeing every one wait. I feel it is unfair to people reading and writting this for me to keep this here with out motion. I could not find time, or energy for writting, this, all week. I look forward to your posts. xxx

Chapter 20

Postby tiredsoul » Tue Oct 22, 2002 3:00 am

You know, I took Monday off so technically this is the end of my weekend :) Okay, so that really isn’t an excuse. Sorry this is rather short, my brain is kinda fuzzy.

Chapter 20

Tara and Charlie were silent for long moments as they stared at the elder blonde woman on the bed who was starting to stir.

Tara moved to sit on the side of the bed and took Lilith’s hand in her own as Charlie walked back over to the group still congregated by the door.

"Aunt Lilith?" Willow asked, her voice low, as Charlie approached.

Charlie took a look back at his sister and aunt and shook his head. "I think it’s her," he said. "I was only like five when I last saw her. It was right around when my mom left."

"She’s on your mother’s side, then?" Giles asked.

"Yeah, her older sister," Charlie replied. "I just thought she stopped coming around after mom was gone, but Tara …" he trailed off as he watched his sister. "She never believed she would just stop coming."

Willow’s heart ached for her girlfriend. In the short time she’d known the blonde, she’d learned that Tara had gone through so much in her young life. And I thought living on the hellmouth was bad. She wanted so much to go to her, wrap her arms around her and convince her that everything was going to be all right.

"Auntie Lilith, is it really you?" Tara was asking softly, running her free hand along the elder woman’s forehead, brushing the blonde hair back. "It’s Tara. Do you remember me?"

Lilith’s eyes fluttered open. To her, it was the most beautiful sight she had ever seen. Tara’s bright smile greeted her as she whispered, "Tara."

A lone tear fell from Tara’s blue eyes. Lilith lifted her frail hand and brushed the tear away with a single finger and then cupped her soft cheek tenderly. "You’ve grown into such a beautiful young woman," she whispered. "Just like your mother."

"Should we …" Buffy started, motioning toward the door. The Initiative would be looking for them soon.

"Let’s give them another minute," Giles said.

Tara looked back to the group and held her hand out to Charlie, He stepped forward and took it, allowing himself to be pulled toward the bed. "Aunt Lilith, do you remember Charlie?"

"Of course, dear," Lilith said. "How could I forget. You have your mother’s eyes." She took a look around her, trying to gauge the environment. "I’m sorry you have to see me like this."

Faith was getting antsy. She knew they didn’t have much time and this family reunion was bittersweet since it was only Tara’s aunt they had pulled out of the Initiative and not her mother.

"We have to go back, you know," Faith said to Buffy.

"I know," Buffy replied. "But we can’t just yet. We need to hole up awhile."

"We can’t stay here," Willow said. "They know about Tara."

"They know about me, too," Buffy said.

"Then where?" Faith said.

"I can take Lilith, Tara and Charlie to my house," Giles offered.

Willow didn’t want to be separated from Tara but she knew that Giles’ place wasn’t that big and Tara needed to be with her aunt. She reluctantly agreed.

"We should get going," Xander said, getting the attention of Tara, Charlie and Lilith. Charlie helped his aunt up.

"I’m taking the three of you to my house," Giles said. "Until we figure out what to do."

Tara shot Willow a look. More than anything, she wanted to stay with the redhead. Willow dropped her eyes in disappointment. Charlie caught the look between the two girls.

"I can stay with Aunt Lilith," Charlie said. "You should stay with Willow."

Willow’s eyes shot up and saw Tara give her brother a big hug. "Thank you," she whispered.

"Now where are we going to go?" Buffy asked.

"You guys can camp out in my basement," Xander offered.

"I’m thinking more along the lines of that motel I stayed at," Faith said.

"That was a pretty crappy place," Buffy said before catching on. "Yeah, right. They’ll never think to look for us there."

"Fine," Xander said. "Don’t say I didn’t offer."

"W-what about him," Tara stammered, pointing to her still unconscious father on the floor.

"We’ll call the police when we get to safety," Giles said.

Faith and Buffy scoped out the hallway and, seeing that it was clear, got the rest of the group and headed on their way.

* * * * *

Buffy, Faith, Tara and Willow stood outside the row of rooms at the Sunnydale Motel.

"Did you see the look that manager gave us," Buffy laughed.

"Guess he rarely rents these rooms for whole nights," Faith added. "You two have 214 and B and I got 212." She handed the key to Tara who promptly opened the door and headed inside, leaving the door open for Willow.

Buffy grabbed the other key from Faith. "I’m so in need of a shower," she said before heading into the other room.

"Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do, Red," Faith smirked before she disappeared into her room and slammed the door behind her leaving a very red-faced redhead standing stock-still.

* * * * *

Tara was sitting quietly on the double bed when Willow emerged from the bathroom.

"Cute pajamas," Tara said with a slight smile.

Willow looked down at her Care Bear flannel set and shrugged. "They were in my overnight bag. Guess I haven’t changed it in a while." She walked forward and sat on the bed next to the blonde.

Tara dropped her head, her hair covering her face as Willow sat down next to her. She felt a warm hand on her bare thigh and covered it with her own.

"How are you doing?" Willow asked.

Tara just caressed the hand on her thigh with her fingers and shook her head. She felt Willow’s other arm cross her shoulders and she leaned into the embrace and started to cry.

Willow’s heart broke at the sobbing sounds Tara was making. She held her close and rocked her gently. "It’s going to be okay," she soothed. "I’m going to do everything I can to make sure of that."

They stayed like this for several minutes until Tara’s sobs subsided. At first Willow thought that the blonde had fallen asleep and she started to pull away to lay her back on the bed. But Tara caught her. "Don’t let go," she whispered.

"Never," Willow swore. "I’ll never let go."

Tara searched the green orbs that were filled with a mixture of love, adoration and desire and knew it was the absolute truth. "You promise?"

Willow’s small grin turned to a big smile. She leaned down and placed a firm, lingering kiss on Tara’s full lips. "Sealed with a kiss."

Tara’s eyes were still closed when Willow pulled back from the kiss. "More, please," she said, placing her hands on Willow’s cheeks and capturing her lips again in a deep kiss and pulling her back on top of her on the bed.

Charlie, the little dote, could see Willow and Tara wanted to stay together, bless him! I think Tara needed some time with Willow, she wouldn't have cried like that if Charlie had been present.

Awwww lovely update, Celia! :clap I'm glad they got auntie Lilith all safe. The hotel rooms were a nice choice for safety i think - just as long as Buffy and Faith can behave themselves. They so need to continue that lil smooch they had. Tara and Will need to rest but i still would like for them to have a lil more fun too. :p

Chapter 21 - TOWEHAG

Postby vix84 » Wed Oct 23, 2002 9:21 pm

Chapter 21

The green eyes were teasing. Willow’s lips hovered just millimetres above Tara’s. When she spoke, her warm breath ticked Tara’s neck. “More, hey? Feelin’ a tad greedy tonight, Miss Maclay?”

Tara leaned forward, attempting to nod and kiss Willow simultaneously.

Willow sighed dramatically. “OK. If you insist.”

She took advantage of her position, cupping her small hands over Tara’s tear-stained cheeks and pulling Tara’s mouth toward hers.

Tara’s lips were very cold and incredibly soft. Willow let her lips linger of Tara's to warm them up.

She wondered if Tara would object to the addition of her tongue, and decided to risk it. Tara was more than willing, she found.

She licked her lips and stammered, "Mmm, minty-fresh goodness, mixed in with yummy Tara-mouth.”

Tara stroked Willow’s tongue with her own. “Yummy? My mouth is only yummy due to Willow-tongue.”

Willow thought about this. “No, that can’t be right. Because, you see, the first time we kissed I noticed that Tara-mouth had a distinct, yummy quality to it, and Willow-tongue hadn’t had time to influence the taste. So in fact, you could say…”

She was cut off when Tara leaned up towards her, to meet her lips in another kiss. A firm kiss this time, that took Willow by surprise.

Tara opened an eye and checked to see what Willow’s facial expression was. She smiled, seeing the contented look on her girlfriend’s face, and opened the other eye. There was no way in hell she was going to miss this front-row Willow extravaganza.

She tried not to laugh at Willow’s serious expression. Willow was so devoted to kissing her properly that her eyes were squeezed tightly together in concentration. Tara brushed back Willow’s hair from her face, and kissed her forehead. “You’re beautiful, Willow,” she whispered.

“So are you, baby.” Willow’s legs tightened around Tara.

She licked slowly around Tara’s full lips, nibbling gently. She felt Tara moan beneath her and focussed her attention on the most sensitive parts of Tara’s face as she did so. “Mmm, Tara-ear.” Her lips found their way to Tara’s earlobe and sucked.

Tara’s eyes closed and her head fell back on the pillow, unintentionally. Willow lost her balance and ended up with her face nestled between Tara’s breasts.

She was immensely glad to be in this position for two reasons. The first being that Tara couldn’t see the deep flush of her cheeks, her obvious embarrassment. The second being that she was in heaven. Life had never been better.

“Well, I’ve gotta say, Tara… I’d be happy spending all my time here. It’s warm, soft and comfy. Suits all my needs.” She licked Tara’s neck slowly, her tongue pressed firmly against the pale skin.

Tara’s eyes widened at the warm, wet sensation.

“Oh, well, Ms Rosenberg, I’d be happy to oblige. As long as you pay for housekeeping, you know, and perform regular maintenance.”

Willow giggled, ticking Tara’s chest. “This kind of maintenance?” Her lips slid down the neck, a bit further, until there was no more exposed skin to torture with her playful tongue. She was about to pout when she thought of something.

“Tare?” she whispered, pulling her head out of the warm crevice.

“Mmm?” Tara was distracted by the sudden disappearance of Willow's tongue.

“I-I just wanted to say…. I mean, I finally got to see what your father is like. And how you were treated. And…”

Tara swallowed, a little glumly. “Yeah?” She hoped that the past days events hadn’t turned Willow off her. Her family history was enough to scare off anyone, even herself. She hated to think about it.

“And it makes me proud. It makes me love you more.” Willow wrapped Tara tightly in her arms and kissed her lips once more.

Tara felt hot tears on her cheeks. “I love you, Will.” She lifted Willow’s hair away from her neck and kissed her just below the earlobe.

Willow shivered. “I know you love me. You show me every time you touch me.” She stroked Tara's back gently. "I hope you know that I feel the same."

Tara stroked her arm. “I do."

She suddenly grinned at their intimate positions. "Can you imagine if we’d camped out at Xander’s? I wonder if we'd be in the same position right now.”

They made eye contact and giggled at the thought.

“Xander wouldn't have minded. But I don’t want to imagine that. I’m kinda happy where I am right now.”

***

Faith sighed. She’d forgotten what Buffy was like, when it came to bathrooms.

“B? You alive in there?” She paced back and forwards near the bathroom door, a little nervously.

“Yeah, I’m doing fine. Thanks for checking, Faith.”

Buffy’s answer irritated Faith further.

“Jeez, B, are you planning on coming out of that shower? Today?”

“Umm…” Buffy paused to think, and Faith heard her splashing. “Well, I’m about to start washing my hair.”

Faith was silent, disbelieving. “You’ve been in there for 20 minutes. What do you mean, start washing your hair?”

“Faith, remember a little concept called Hygiene? You used to be a big fan of it. Well, under the umbrella of hygiene, there’s another word you’ve probably forgotten, with the coma and all. Exfoliation. A daily process. And it takes a while.”

“Exfoli-what? Buffy, I need the bathroom. Hurry up! Your skin could have coped for a night without expensive creams. I promise you.”

Buffy snickered. “Faith, I don’t really want your beauty tips, but thanks for trying. Go and use Will and Tara’s shower, I’ll be in here for quite a while.”

Faith made a face at the door, tempted to kick it. Then she sighed and glanced around the room, looking for her shoes. Yeah, this is sure to be fun. Having a shower in Tara and Red’s room, listening to the witchy-orgasms. Lucky me! She vowed to get revenge on Buffy.

She tiptoed down the hall and stopped outside room 214. She was about to call out “Willow?” when she realised that the shower was running in their room, too.

‘Goddammit,’ she muttered to herself. She was about to return to her own room, to excavate Buffy from the shower, when she had an idea.

Should I?! No…it’s cruel. A slow smile spread over her face.

She quickly recalled the steps she had been taught, to put on a disguise. Umm, crap, what were the words to that spell? Oh yeah. She remembered when she’d chosen Ruby as a disguise, how she selected a random classmate and whispered the words of the spell within a metre proximity.

She was trying to decide whether to be Tara or Willow, and think of a subtle way of sneaking into the room, when she heard a voice.

“Hey, little brother! How are you doing?”

Tara listened and giggled at his response.

“Oh, yes, Mr Giles does have strange habits. Willow told me about this one time where he went berserk over her serviette-folding skills, or lack thereof. He nearly spat on her in his indignation.”

Faith’s eyes glittered with excitement. Time to be little miss Red Riding Hood, I guess.

She turned the door handle and, finding it locked, turned it very sharply to the left. She heard it click under her slayer-grip.

Walking over to the bed, until she was a metre away from Tara, she whispered,

Hecate,

Let this spell conceal the truth.

When her eyes meet mine,

She will see her love.

She slid into bed beside Tara and pretended to sleep.

“OK, sleep well sweetie. If Mr Giles tries to make you eat his strange Toad-food again, you’ll tell him no, right?”

“See you later, Charlie. Tomorrow afternoon, probably. And send my love to Aunt Lillith.”

Tara put down the receiver and was surprised to find Willow in her bed.

Faith looked down at her body cautiously, and was surprised to see it had worked. I’m Red. Check me out!

“Will, sweetie? Why’s the shower still running?”

Faith turned over, stretching. “Oh, hey baby. Faith’s using our shower, if that’s OK.”

Tara nodded. “That means we can’t be too naughty.” She pouted.

Faith let her foot stroke Tara’s leg, up and down. The silky skin made her heart beat a little faster.

“No naughtiness?” She winked. “Of course there can be naughtiness. We’ll just have to be a bit quiet, that’s all.”

She slid closer to Tara.

Licking her lips, she prepared herself for…

“FAITH! What the hell are you doing in my bed?”

Tara was out of the bed quicker than Faith had ever imagined possible.

“Wow, T, you should be a slayer. Great impulses.” She let her eyes linger on Tara’s exposed arms. “And pretty nice biceps, may I add.”

Tara didn’t know whether to laugh or scream. Her mouth opened and closed.

“Besides, how’d you know it was me?” Faith was annoyed.

“Your, you know, aura. It’s not Willow’s. Hers is a beautiful blue and mauve, and yours is red. It took me longer than usual to notice because I was a little distracted.” She glared at Faith.

Faith smiled innocently. “Wow! So you’re into all that new-age stuff, huh? Auras? Cool.”

Tara was in no mood for conversation.

She grabbed Faith’s arm and dragged her over to the bathroom door. “Will, come and look what we got. Room Service brought us a treat.”

Willow wrapped herself in a towel and emerged, looking excited. “Room service? Did they bring any of those baby carrots?”

“Uh, no...” Tara and Faith exchanged a look, trying not to laugh at Willow's quirky request from a non-existent room service.

Then Tara gestured at Faith and Willow mouth opened.

“Huh? It’s me!”

“Yeah. Umm, sort of...”

Faith lowered her eyes, hoping they’d let her go. She still had time to attempt seducing Buffy. Well, before they informed Buffy about what she’d done. She tried to sneak out of Tara's grip, but the look that the blond gave her stopped her cold.

Willow stared. “This is so Austin Powers! You know, the end part where there are two lots of…and you go to bed with…wait a minute!”

She looked up, outraged. “Other Willow, did you sleep with my girlfriend? What the hell is going on?”

***

Five minutes later, after Tara had explained the situation and Faith had reversed the spell, Willow was screeching at the brunette outside room 212.

"Don't ever touch my girlfriend again, you...you cleavagy slutbomb!" She held Tara's hand tightly, afraid to let go of her again.

Buffy answered the door, ready to laugh. “God, Faith, you think I have long showers. You spent a pretty long time in Will’s ….WHAT is going on?!”

She trailed off, noticing Willow and Tara standing on either side of Faith like jailguards.

“Buffy, she tried to be me! And then she went to bed with Tara!” Willow folded her arms, waiting for her best friend to take her side. She was so angry at Faith that she felt almost dizzy. I knew we shouldn't have trusted her!

Buffy’s eyebrows were little peaks. “Faith and Tara? Bed? I have to say, I never saw that one comin’. “

Faith giggled, then stopped when she received a cold stare from Willow. “Buff, I just wanted to see how far she’d go. I didn’t do anything wrong.”

“Except for manipulating Tara's mind!" Willow's voice was a squeak.

"Well, thanks Will and Tara. I’ll deal with Faith now.”

Buffy took Faith’s hand and led her inside, giving her a stern look. She waved to her friends and then closed the door.

The two slayers made eye contact and Faith burst out laughing.

***

A few hours later, Faith was woken by the sound of Buffy’s mobile phone ringing.

She stretched out, murmuring obscenities into the darkness.

The phone continued to ring.

“Fuck it!” She got out of bed and fumbled about for the phone.

“What do you want?”

Faith’s face barely changed as the person spoke. She listened intently for several minutes.

“OK, I will. Wow, he sure is one helluva bastard!”

She paused. “Sorry, G-man! Sheesh, relax. I’ll wake her up now.”

Running over to Buffy’s bed, she shook the sleeping blond. “Buffy, it’s important.”

“Faith? Please go away.”

"B, that was Giles. Tara’s dad got away.”

Buffy jumped up, wide awake. “What?! Oh my god.”

“Yeah, he left a note, saying 'You only made it worse for her.', which can't be good. Come on, we need to go get Tara and Willow.”

They raced out of the room and pulled open the door to their friends’ room, not caring what they were interrupting.

“Shit!” Buffy turned to face Faith, her eyes wide with distress.

The room was empty.

I didn't see the humour of Faith impersonating Willow really. Getting into bed with Tara like that, bwah. The only reason that stopped was Tara realizing something was wrong. Heck, even Tara took it better then me :D .

Quote:

"how far she'd go".... Faith did plenty wrong but as is usual for her she thinks it's all some funny game, or at least thats Faith's way of handling/shielding life. About abusing magic for personal gain and such.... Faith definitly qualifies.

I'm indeed suprised that RealWillow didn't do much to Faith, must be Tara calming her down :) . I'm wondering if Willow will still help Faith out when they're in trouble, these kind of """jokes""" (the ones played on several people but which only one of them finds amusing) are not good for creating team-spirit so to speak.

How did Tara and Willow get out so quick ? They could also just have gone to eat somewhere...

Gawd, long-winded feedback again.... must...stop...doing...that...

Aww, vix, that was great. And so sweet. I can't help but melt at nice moments between the girls.

Nice Buffy/Faith interaction. It was unexpected to have Faith pretend to be Willow but I think it worked. Gives Buffy a reason to chastise her.

And Mr. McClay escaping ... nice touch. Add to that, the girls' room empty and I say saule77 has some good possiblities.

Great job.

Next weekend is a long weekend here, so I'll have time to catch up on the fic and write an update to post on Tuesday morning... Promise.

First, Celia, I have to say that your update rocked! Sorry I didn't give feedback at the time, I had a million things to do and forgot about it. Willow's pjs were awesome, I want a pair! And her promise to Tara, so beautiful.

Also, thanks for the feedback for my part! Oh yeah, trust me...I spend so much time melting over W/T fics :D

Thanks, Branny sweetie, I'm glad you liked it. I was very unsure about the Faith moment, so it was nice to hear that you enjoyed it. *growls at Tara's dad* I also can't wait for someone, anyone, to get rid of him, in any way/shape/form. :party

You're welcome, mollyig, I love using that line at any available moment. It'll always be my favourite quote. Yes, Faith is pretty lucky, and she'd make a great frog, don't you think?

Hey Grimmy, your post scared me at first! But I guess you're just being protective of Tara. I think Willow was too shocked to get really angry, and more scared about what effect all that would have had on Tara (which someone could follow up with, if they choose.) And yes, I'm sure Tara calmed her down! She's good, that way.

"I didn't see the humour of Faith impersonating Willow really." Ouch! :eek You've really got it in for Faith! Yeah she is incredibly annoying and evil, but she likes to seduce anyone, by any means possible. I dislike her, too, and I suppose that I used her the way I did so that I could.. *whispers in your ear* make B/F relations less likely... ;)

Oh, I like long-winded feedback, by the way. And hence gave you long-winded feedback. :)

Hey Nath, yeah it was kind of a mean spot, but at least there are lots of options! (Heh, I liked my options..thanks Celia!) *nods* I also love that line from Family *sigh*. Thanks for the feedback! :D

Hoped you guys liked it, and that the Faith part wasn't too...well, weird (for lack of a better word). I'm going away for 3 months, and so I won't be writing for a while! *sob* But I can't wait for the next few updates, you guys rock :D

Vix awesome job! Throwing some angst in the mix! I Loved it! Faith part was a bit wrong but it was kinda funny, i'm just glad it didn't go any further... then i woulda hated Faith. But no it wasn't weird. Ya did lovely job with the beginning starting off w/ some good ol' W/T-ness, i liked! :)

Can't wait 4 Saule77's addition! :)

Willow: We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know... insane.

Tara: I said quirky.

Wow, that was a helluva update! First, you give me exactly what I want with Willow and Tara smoochies... then Faith goes all slutty and tries to manipulate Tara, which I'm not chuffed about by the way. ;) Then, Tara's dad gets away and now Willow and Tara are missing! Talk about leaving us in suspense!

Anyway, a nice update... couldn't have done better myself. :p
