Alone

Postby Drakkenfyre » Wed Jun 05, 2002 2:00 pm

Well, perhaps I should talk with you more often!! If it means I am going to get such a wonderful poem like that. That was beautiful. Wonderful mix of emotions. Bravo. Now, might we have some more. Please!! (no pressure)

Reading through,I thought *Rainbow* was good, and then came *Alone*,and it struck me that the emotions expressed in both could be born from the same Place...Maybe that's just me,or the weird mood I'm in tonight...

Ah,well...Post some more - There's not enough Poetry on the board !!

Hi Lucy!

Thanks for reading my poems, it means a lot :) I've never really thought of 'Rainbow'/'Alone' and the emotions behind them being born from the same love. I just write what ever happens to come into my mind! You could be right though! Its nice to see how different people interpret them.

I shall be posting more so keep an eye out :D

Re: New Poem- 'I Believe'

Postby TheWhiz » Fri Jun 14, 2002 6:18 am

Right, I decided it was about time I posted something new, now I don't have the excuse of exams :)

I had a choice between posting a depessing poem or a happy poem, so I went with the happy!!

****************************************************************

I Believe

However long the winding road I believe it will bring me to you,

However dim the night sky stars I believe I can see you shine,

However strong the wind blows I believe we will stand unruffled,

However lonely I may be I believe you will comfort me.

However dark the world appears I believe you will bring light into my life,

However unattractive I feel I believe you see me as beautiful,

However quiet this place I believe you will embrace me with music,

However cold I may feel I believe your love will keep me warm.

However stressed I am I believe you will be my calming influence,

However threatened I feel I believe you will protect me from harm,

However confused my mind I believe you can understand me,

However shy I appear I believe you will coax me out of my shell.

However complicated things seem I believe you will make them simple,

However lost I appear I believe you will find and guide me safely,

However deep the ocean I believe you will keep me afloat,

However prejudiced the world I believe we will always be proud of the love we have.

Whatever path my life takes I believe I will be there with you and you will be here with me. Forever.

Hope you like it! Any comments are much appreciated. :D

Re: New Poem: Candle

Postby TheWhiz » Wed Aug 14, 2002 1:28 pm

Here is a new poem, well I say new but I wrote it a while ago!! I currently have no inspiration :(

Anyway hope you like!

*****************************************************************

Candle

Like a candle I stood tall,

Yet slowly I withered,

Melting away until there was nothing left but an empty puddle,

That means nothing and has no purpose.

I used to burn bright,

Then I began to flicker uncertainly,

Before I was extinguished for good,

Leaving nothing but darkness and silence.

Like a candle there is no way back,

No return to my former glory,

I can never be whole or complete again,

The way I was with you.

Any comments much appreciated!! :D
