Basically, what follows is a plot summary I wrote up some time ago in my desire to get started on a sequel to "Under the Sea". Essentially, while I have a more or less good idea of what I want to do, I'm not in any real hurry to put it all down, what with schoolwork and my other fics.
“Part of Your World” Plot Summary
It has been several months following the conclusion of “Under the Sea”, which saw Willow Rosenberg, searching for a life of peace and comfort in a world that could not understand her particular quirks, found the life she was looking for in the form of a mermaid named Tara, who brought her into the undersea world, at a great cost, which included her parents, an innocent who got caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the life of her best friend Buffy Summers. Still, with the help and love of Tara, she had set out to find a life among the mermaids who have adopted her into their lives.
This a journey made incredibly complicated by the fact that not every single member of the clan has decided to accept Willow as one of their own. All they see when they look towards her is a human that has corrupted one of their own once again, and has brought shame upon their entire race by becoming one of them. These small few, who have until now kept their anger hidden, have now decided to become more active in their attempts to expunge Willow from their society,
Things are even further complicated by the fact that Dawn Summers, sister to the dearly departed Buffy, has taken it upon herself to find the ones responsible for the death of her sister. This invariably leads to her discovering Willow, and realizing the truth of what happened.
Tara, meanwhile, seeing the pain that Willow is going through, and knowing that she is now in a position of power, seeks to stop the troublemakers from causing Willow any further pain.
(There's also some stuff that happens that doesn't fit into this summary, the most important of which is a scene where, through magic, Willow contacts the spirits of Buffy and Faith and makes peace with them.)
So...any of this good?
