The link for posting levels doesn't seem to be working properly. I went to check what comes at 700 posts and *blah* the posting levels page wasn't there.

I think she might mean the one from 'the kitten, the witches and the bad wardrobe' FAQ. Qu 19 'When does my posting level change?' has a link after it, but it doesn't go to the right place any more.

http://kittenboard.com/board/levels.html

I think that is the correct link, except it isn't 'cos it doesn't seem to give the posting levels. The link from your website to the nether realms of the kitten board also seems to go to the same wrong site xita.

Lets hope you can fix it!

yeah....what cosmic dancer said...the link from the FAQs doesn't work. That's the only way I know to get the posting levels list.

Thanks, I got rid of that domain, that's the problem. Ok, I made a new one

http://thekittenboard.com/kitten/levels.html

This should be correct. I'll fix the faq as well.

Is it just me or is it impossible to open the Space Exploration (& old Shuttle emergency) Thread ? It looks like it is trying to open the old board for it. (trying to use the link on the 1st page of ask any question thread.)

Not that it is a big deal at the moment I just wanted to post in it.

ETA: It looks like most of the links are not working. :( Sorry Mods

OK, this isn't really an issue more of a request? Somebody said they were reading my currect fic and asked if I had anymore, I directed them to the completed fics archive but there's only one of my fics there. There should be another two. I checked and they are both in Different coloured pens (page 7). They've been finished since last year so I was wondering, could they maybe please be moved? Pretty please with a cherry on top? I understand you guys have been busy with the move and everything so I'm not digging at you or anything. Just letting you know they're there. :geek

Thank you, Gem :flower :x

The board has been really snitty today...it's up and running one minute...and then it's down and inaccessible the next.

Okay, our host is on it and it looks like things are okay. They're aware of the problems we had today and they're going to keep an eye on it.

Probably be a good idea, though, to make sure you've got the old board bookmarked. Just in case. Please feel free to post there any time this board is down.

Is is possible to edit work that was posted and transferred from the old board? I'm still working on a story in Inward Eye and want to add something to the first post, and possibly make a change in the Title.

Cheers!!

Re: Issues

Postby bytrsuite » Wed Aug 17, 2005 9:41 am

The quick fix is to get a mod to edit it for you. I do believe there is a way to make it so you could edit it, but that involves doing something with the database, and, as far as I know, only xita can do that.

So, you can email a mod, if you like, or wait for xita to get back so she can do what she does. :D

I wanted to let you guys know that CaptMurdock's story, "Four Months After", is kinda wonky. It skips a part somewhere in between, and the end is cut off. I've read the whole thing before so I recognized places where things were missing.

ETA: Sorry. Forgot to mention that it's in the Complete Fics Archive. Page 4 or so.

Hi Mods. :applause I was just wondering if one of you would be so kind as to fix the story thread of Catching Sunflowers In Bloom, so that I can modify the first post. Thank you so much. :-D

Hey, Nixel and Emms. Both these things will require xita's special services, so it'll have to wait until she gets back. (Emms, we can edit your first post for you if you don't want to wait, if you'll let us know what changes you need to be made.)

I too can wait until the Great and Wonderful Xita returns. But I did have one more question.

Sending PM's. A bit of confusion with how the board logs messages in the folders. I sent a PM and it's still showing in the "Outbox" and not "Sent Items" -- uh, was it actually sent? If not, how do I send it? I did check, but couldn't see a 'resend/submit' button. I have other messages registered in "Sent Items," and am very confuzzled. Any advice for this poor technopeasant?

Muchly Thanks

Patches,

It just takes a while for them to actually get sent. I've had PMs sit there for 45 minutes before actually sending.

Thanks for the info Carleen, but I sent the PM at 1:47 AM on Monday night (technically Sunday night before I went to sleep); this would be approaching the 3 day mark sitting in the 'Outbox.' I get a feeling this *isn't* normal? More advice for the lowly technopeasant, please??? :) & thank yous :)

I think it only moves to the sent box after the person it got sent to actually opens it up. They might not have see it, or got busy and forgotten to read it or something along those lines.

Thanks muchly... Any word on some of the posting issues (hitting submit on a new or edited post and having the 'page cannot be displayed' errors?) I've found I have to refresh, which goes to 'no post mode speficied,' or leave the site; the post will be in the thread, but does not get logged. Seems it mostly occurs on editing. Just curious.

Cheers!!
