Trouble linking an avatar

The new board is great, thanks for the change. I am tying to link the same avatar I used previously. It's 60x60 pixels and 13kb,yet I keep getting the message telling me it's too large. Thoughts?

Oh, your avatar is bigger than 100x100. that one is 120x90. You'll have to resize it. If you can't do that. Let me know.

I decided on my own avaters instead.

I resized my pics so that the pixels are under 100x100 and it is still not working.
