Obscure Gay/Lesbian Love Scenes

Postby Zahir » Thu Jan 24, 2002 1:59 pm

This week new eps of Lexx start on the SciFi Channel. For those of you who don't know, Lexx is a show perhaps best described as "Star Trek As Done By Monty Python."

Personally, I can't think of this show without remembering a scene from the episode "Twilight," by far the most explicit (in an utterly goofy, twisted way) lesbian love scene on television. Ever!

And that got me thinking (always a bad sign):

Do my fellow kittens have any favorite obscure gay or lesbian love scenes they'd like to share?

Obscure Gay/Lesbian Love Scenes

The scene between Paloma Picasso (as the 16-17th century hungarian Countess Erzsébeth Bathory) and her lady knight servant in Walerian Borowczyk's 1974 Contes Immoraux (Immoral Tales) is one of my favourites.

It's too bad that the real story behind this chapter of the movie is so creepy and tragic (along with Vlad Dracul, she was the other inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula).

There's a movie database site called OutTakes; its supposed to have the title of every non-porn movie with a hint of lesbianism in it. Includes a lot of obscure foreign films. This is one that kitties might want to check out.
