W/T in the Tabloids

Next weeks issue of the National Examiner features a story on "WHO's GAY, WHO's Not...& WHO can't decide!" Under the heading Gay Characters on television is Willow and Tara with the picture from OMWF of Tara leaning into Willow. The story says:

When Buffy The Vampire Slayer's nerd pal Willow Rosenberg went from computers to spell books, shocked parents asked: "What's a nice Jewish girl doing practicing witchcraft?" Moms and dads were especially concerned because the UPN series is a cult favorite among preteens and teenagers. Imagine their shock when Willow, played by Alyson Hannigan, began cuddling, kissing and slo-dancing with fellow witch Tara, played by Amber Benson.

Since some people seem touchy when it comes to tabloids and gossip, I'll leave it up to you if you'd like to check this out.

I can't decide if this is good news or not. I know they say any press is good press, but its not like they say anything positive. Though how wide the fame of W/T has spread is pretty cool.

Helllllloooo, this is in a tabloid. Good news or bad, think of how wide spread Willow and Taras realtionship had to get, in order to reach the tabloids.

Good publicity or bad publicity tabloids always add spice to the story. So if like 5 parents actually complained they'll list like 200 parents did.

So its alll blown outta porportion anyways, ya know. SO why get worried or upset? Be happy after six years a BUFFY realtionship
has finally made the tabloids!!! Personally im whipping out my lil pink glitter "YAY BUFFY!" sign!

And i'd like to add some WOOO and some HOOO because it was our gals that made the tabloids!!!! Not all negative publicity is bad publicity, in my opinion. Cause' its not like a few peoples opinions will take the show off the air,anyway.

note: I choose not to see any negative Buffy/willow/tara/amber/aly nonsense. Its not worth wasting my time worring over, unless the actors themsleves are being atacked publicly ex. Amber Benson after joining the buffy cast. Which is when i'l take action, and scream HEYYYY I THINK YOU NEED TO BACK OFF!!!!

Oh heck, I collect everything, so this too shall be mine... but it sounds a bit fun, at least they are included. Sometimes I think the media forgets they are gay.

Tabloids! It's amazing they way the manage to suggest that there's something wrong with being gay, without actually saying it.

I'm not allowed tabloids anymore, the Daily Mail especially, because I end up going on and on about how wrong and stupid they are for ages!

Which I won't do now.

And I'm concerned that moms and dads let their preteens watch the show. Course, I don't even know if that's true; I don't expect this rag is large with the fact-checking.

Anyway, at least it's not negative, and they didn't get anything majorly wrong. But did they really write "slo-dancing"? Because that's just ew.
