OT - EIDC Shoot Sheet to return - with limits...

Postby BBOvenGuy » Mon Feb 25, 2002 3:42 pm

If you've been checking the EIDC shoot sheet - the online resource that used to tell us where all the nifty location shoots were being held - you may have noticed that it's now gone!

A temporary page has been set up, announcing that the full shoot sheet will return... but with restrictions.

Here's what it says:

quote:
Back SOON by very, very, very popular demand is EIDC's own Shoot Sheet!

We read your e-mails complaining about access to the Shoot Sheet. We listened to your voice mails asking when the Shoot Sheet would be back on-line. And we consulted with the studios, talent and local officials on how best to bring back the Shoot Sheet in a security-conscious manner.

The waiting will soon be over.

However, in order to better monitor who uses the Shoot Sheet and ensure it is used for legitimate purposes (we consider legitimate purposes to include activities associated with a recognized entertainment organization or industry-related vendor), EIDC is asking users to apply for access to it. You can do so by printing the application and mailing it to us with a copy of your driver's license and verification of your industry affiliation. Once approved, we will email you a password and a link to the shoot sheet and you will again have the round-the-clock web-based access you previously enjoyed.

Print the application (you need Adoboe Acrobat) and mail it to us at: EIDC, Attn: Webmaster, 7083 Hollywood Boulevard, 5th Floor, Hollywood, CA 90028.

The password is free; the peace of mind is priceless!

EIDC publishes the Shoot Sheet as a service to the entertainment industry. Access to the Shoot Sheet is a privilege – not a right – and complaining about this registration process will not make it easier, quicker or less cumbersome. Access via a "password" is common practice on many web sites all over the Internet. In the aftermath of September 11, 2001, security and access to information is a serious issue for all of us.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Okay, so now all we need is someone with sufficient industry credentials to get the password for us - or probably a more wise alternative would be to find someone with the password who was willing to check it for us and report back to the Kitten Board. Anyone have any suggestions?
