Oops. heh.

Well, I'd try for an innocent look but I doubt I could pull it off right now.

If it would be helpful with your muse I could try to pull off pitiful, or pleading, or perhaps puppy dog eyes - 'cause hey, alliteration.

I'm doubtful, too. It's just that if I were to pull a list out of my ass, I'd use the same dates as those used above.

One reason I'm doubtful is that a poster on the smgfan.com boards talked to David Fury at the PBP, where Fury said he is too busy to direct again this season. BTW, that info comes via a certain Spoiler-Pusher-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.quote:

I still think that Willow and Tara are going to get back together this season. To wait until next season sets it 4-5 months in the future. I don't think they would keep them split up for that long( keep in mind how long they've already been split up). Besides Joss has already said that the relationship would continue. I don't think you'd have all 3 couples split up, and if Xander and Anya get back together first, I'll choke...I just think that something will happen concerning Amy and that Tara will be there to help Willow through it, whatever it is. Maybe something is done to Willow against her will again...

I think you're right about Willow and Tara. At least I hope they do, get back together.

Does anyone know if OMWF, is going to be reshown, or if season 6 will be shown on FX?

Thanks in advance,
Jen

I'm pretty sure that they are going to get back together. For one thing, all the foreshadowing we've had pointing in that direction and second, Marti has already said in an interview that she wants to do a romantic scene between W/T that didn't involve singing or spells..Just my opinion, but I'll eat my car if they don't, and I have a SUV..

Jen--the next repeat UPN shows ought to be OMWF, since they've shown the first 6 already. And we ought to get a repeat on 3/19, unless they show a movie or something. Hard to say when FX will get S6. Even once S7 starts, UPN will want to save some S6 eps to show when they need repeats early on. They may just keep a few out, like they did w/ Hush & some S5 epis last fall. Sooo, after S7 starts, when S6 comes up in the FX rotation, it should be shown, but not neccessarily all of them. Did that make sense?

It should be noted, though, that when OMWF is rerun, it'll be the one-hour condensed version. We probably won't see the longer version again until it comes to DVD.

Long-term lurker who just saw on Wendy's spoiler site that a reliable source now believe's Tara will not die. I never believed this rumor to be true so I just thought this information would be a welcome relief.

Just back to say I know what you mean about her sources. It's just nice that finally she has something to say that isn't doom and gloom, which to me is a huge surprise. By the way I love Willow and Tara and I just know they will both be alive and together at the end of the season!

Here's the exact quote:

quote:
An anonymous but so far credible source passed on two bits of information: first, Buffy sells the house; second, as far as she knows, Tara will not die. That's the first time since December that I've heard from a credible source any news regarding Tara's future with the show, and it's good news.

Holy Toledo!!! So, Ms. "Tara's going to die... boogity boogity boogity" is now doing a complete reversal. Who would have thought?

As others have already pointed out, though, this "spoiler" has no more evidence behind it than the ones Wendy was pushing that said Tara was going to die. I'm not going to start taking her word for things just because she's now saying what I want to hear. We still need evidence to confirm it.

Yeah, the problem is Bob (and has always been when it comes to these kinds of spoilers) It's hard to *prove* the negative- That Tara *won't* die, especially when the info is so vague. But hey, it's good news.

The *real* partying around here will come, I suspect, when it's officially announced that Amber's signed for next year. At that point, with any luck, it'll put a lot of speculation to rest.

This season just seems so freakin' sad. First Giles leaves, then Willow and Tara break up, and Buffy walks around in a serious state of depression. Now Xander and Anya are breaking up. Can we get to the happy right now?

I thought that Doublemeat Palace was one of the most depressing episodes this season. And that's saying a lot. Buffy stuck in such a pathetic job with no future on the horizon is depressing. Now she is supposedly selling her family home? Actually, that makes a lot of sense, the taxes are probably killing her. I wonder if Buffy, Willow and Dawn will share an apartment.

Well I never figured Tara to be a goner. It just never made much sense to me.

But I'm looking at this latest news going, "Noooo, they can't sell the house! It's full of Joyce-y goodness!"

My first guess is that whoever wrote the FAQ got Amber and Emma mixed up, but who knows?

What's the URL for that FAQ? I can't find it.

Q: What Is The Contract Status Of The Characters?
Posted by: blkkatt - Mar 03, 2002, 1:32 PM 8 of 9

A: Here Is What I and Some Of The New Beginningers Have Found Of course as anything else, contracts are made to be broken, but considering the money they would have to fork over to the actor/actress afterwards, I don’t think they will do it.

All main characters: Buffy, Dawn, Willow, Xander, and Spike are contracted through season 7. After that, it falls on SMG. She has been stated as saying that if the product is still good, and new, then she would like to continue. But she would rather have the show go out with a bang then to have the show loose fans because it was repetitive and non interesting. The execs I think are trying to shoot for another 3 seasons, a total of 10 all together. But we will just have to wait and see what happens next season.

Tara had a contract for something like 16-18 eps this season. She has just signed a contract not to long ago for the same amount of eps next season. This has been confirmed by one of our NBers not to long ago.

Giles, since he has his new show, he has a semi contract with BtVS. What it will entail, or so the interviews say, is that when Giles is needed on the show then he will be, but he isn’t contracted for certain specific eps or number of eps. There are supposedly going to be crossovers between Ripper and BtVS, and then Ripper and Angel.

Anya is the only one that doesn’t have a confirmed contract yet. And as spoilers and the rumor mills have it, When Zander cancels the wedding at the last possible moment; she turns back into her vengeance demon self. After that there are only two choices for her, leave never to return or be killed.

Let's remember Joss said, it would get darker but there would be some hope, I think our girls are the hope.

I don't know what kind of FAQ that is but it doesn't sound very authentic what with the spelling of xander's name.

Marti Noxon said a couple of months back that ALL the cast had signed for Season 7. I assumed that included Emma too.

I don't believe those FAQ. Spellings are the first indication that there's something iffy about it.

I guess I assumed that when Emma was made a regular she was signed up through S7 like the other regulars. I thought I had read several times that she was signed.

And, yes, that "faq" is suspect to say the least due to the spellings and the annoying use of character names when the actors' names are appropriate. Whatever.

Wonder if that "Buffy sells the house" spoiler is true? I guess that would mean exciting new interiors to look forward to as everyone finds new digs. I'll miss the Summers home though. It is kind of Jossian to off the original set in favor of realistic growth and change, when you think of it. I mean, good lord, if 90210 were still on , the characters would probably STILL be puttering around the old Walsh home!

General Season 6 Spoilers - Part 7 - The Voyage Home

Postby maudmac » Sun Mar 03, 2002 11:47 pm

Okay, I realize that spoiler is dubious, but it's the first time I've seen mention of the show going on for more than seven seasons. I fully expected next season to be the last one. I even went through a little weird depression last year when I contemplated what I would do (and what would happen to all of us, the whole BTVS community) when it was over. Those were dark days.

The idea of even one more season beyond 7 intrigues me. Hell, the idea of tomorrow's episode intrigues me. But four more years of Buffy? The weird thing is, I'm not sure it makes me happy, so much as it scares me. I really don't want to contemplate where the show could go over the course of four years, how the characters and 'ships would change. (I'll admit I'm afraid I might not like it.)

I suppose if I weren't a spoiler ho, it might not be so bad. But that whole Rumor That Dare Not Speak Its Name thing took a bite out of me. (Ironically, it was that very Unspeakable that drove me to such ho-ness.) Terrible cliffhangery angst, worse than Lisa, wiccachica, and Sassette all rolled into one.

I imagine I would be well served to remember that the only thing that's ever constant is change. And in Joss we trust. Oh, yeah, and it's the journey that matters, not the destination. Did I leave anything out?

...perhaps that getting emotionally invested in a television show and it's characters can be painful. Duh.

So now either way she is still 100% accurate. Can I just say a huge WHATEVER. Does this mean we are no longer supposed to be afraid like she taunted before Christmas as a cheery holiday gift?

Is our apology coming? Somehow I really doubt it. Would admit being wrong and we can't be 100% accurate and have that can we?

No, we'll never get an apology. What we'll most likely get - if anything - is a lot of doubletalk about how "ME changed their minds." With no proof, of course.

"Whatever" is probably the best response, now that you mention it.

Hey Daffy, thank you for answering my post. I figured it would be shown, since they were showing the other re-runs. Plus, it's such a popular episode. Thanks again.

Bob, if I have the name wrong I appologize. What did you mean by the extended episode? What do you think they will leave out, when they show it again? I was just curious.

Thanks again. Take care
