Well I was hooked of course; I watched the rest of the season and could not wait for season 5 to start. After season 5 started, I was looking around for new W/T stuff because the only site I had found was not being updated at all, so I found the Kitten at Inside The Web…and they had just moved but it was ok, they had a link and when I came here, all the talk was about the upcoming new ep...Family and then I also found out something wonderful, spoilers and the wildfeed it's been heaven ever since
ps: Shazza, that was me, I remember we would defend W/T against all those Bronze idiots, every time we would see a W/T bashing thread, which sadly, was often, we would jump right in, as I have said so many times, that is THE best thing about the Kitten, that no bashing is allowed, it has made my whole W/T experience completely different since finding the Kitten, a true haven indeed [This message has been edited by Warduke (edited July 18, 2001).]

Gradually, the egroup got way to big. There was a WillTara discussion Egroup, but nothing for a while. Then Zelda and Xita founded this on ezboards. I been here everyday since.
Odd though, I'm still only Willowhand.
Also, where is Zelda? MIA?

Then one day, I was either at Curve magazine or the Planet Out website and I saw a posting or a link to the Kitten Board. I couldn't believe my total luck at finding this fantastic, funny and caring community of kittens, all loving Willow and Tara just like I did. It literally, was one of the best days of my life!
I am so drawn to W & T, and to think that an entire community of people from all around the world are too, just makes my heart flutter!
Since then I have come to realize that this is the best PB where I can relax and be myself, the creativity of Different Colored Pens just knocks my socks off and Amber loves us! It's enough to make a girl's hair twirl.... which mine does because I have curly red hair!
I haven't been to chats yet, but from what I read in some of your posts, I am looking forward to this too! So this is how I became a Kitten. Love you guys!

There were many excited posts re the possible nature of the relationship between Willow and Tara (this is after all the Xena fandom, subtext and all that). I was intrigued and when Hush finally showed in Australia, I made sure to watch it and have not missed an episode since then. Then, I got on the willtara list and there was mention of this 'Kitten Board'. Cute name, I thought, so I checked it out. During the fifth season (Buffy's fourth) I was getting pretty burned out and looking for something new to obsess over...um, watch. I started watching Buffy regularly, and discovered the Buffy Cross and Stake Board. One of the posters there mentioned the Kitten Board, and I checked it out and LOVED it. posted July 18, 2001 20:49 After seeing the last 5 minutes of a "Family" rerun, I ran online and desperately searched for some info on Willow and Tara. (I was so excited to see a potrayal of lesbians my own age on TV!!!) The first things I found were all very anti-gay and really depressed me. Luckily I found my way to the WillTara Yahoo! mailing list and then I believe it was the wonderful Little Willow who directed me to this great board. I remember being to nervous to post anything (I'm a lurker by nature) but everyone seemed so nice and friendly that I finally had to post something. In addition to being completely weird and outrageous, the people on the Kitty board rock!!The Willow/Tara, Kitty board experience been great for me as a GLBT youth who rarely see's her experiences reflected in anything. I was lurking here for so long I don't remember where I got the link from.
Anyway... I went to FP Manchester to meet Amber, the goddess herself, And who did I find myself stood next to in the queue? The one and only Ruth of course! (oh and Paula too!)
So we got chatting and it got around to the Kitten and I said 'I've been lurking there for ages' or something to that effect and they said 'You've just gotta post'.
So I did, and here I am!
After meeting Amber we went for a drink together and continued our chat, we swapped e-mail adresses and so on.
Thats my story!

I saw "Welcome to the Hellmouth", but missed "The Harvest" and I really didn't see the show regularly. I watched "Buffy" on the dutch tv channel and on the BBC so I didn't understand any of the story arcs. (in the dutch episodes, Angel was a nice guy-- in the british episodes, Angel was murdering people). So, what did I do, I went online to look up an episode guide. Thus, I discovered the Buffy community.
I was e-mailing and chatting with a friend of mine and we one day discovered we both liked the show without knowing it from eachother. (bad grammatical sentence, sorry. ) Anyway to cut a long story short, we started a dutch Buffy mailinglist, which is now I think the only one. I wanted to find out newsie bits to post on the list so I was surfing a lot through "Buffy"-sites and I was subscribed to a lot of "Buffy"-lists when I heard how Willow would be having a girlfriend. Yay! I thought, and I immediately subscribed to the WillTara e-maillist at Egroups, which at that time was a great source for newsie-bits and spoilers.
Then, the board was created. I had a lot of things to do for school but sometimes I read a few threads. The board moved around a lot though, so I got lost. And I had to unsubscribe from WillTara because the amount of fanfics posted there got too high and my mailbox at school to full every day. But hurray, in the beginning of this summer's vacation I resubscribed and asked the adress of the board.. and one enlightened soul named Froggy had created a more 'permanent' link to the board and now, as a result of that, I'm able to post more and join the lovely discussions.
The W/T fan community is a very nice group of people and I'm glad something like the board exists to let these people meet. I'm proud to be a kitten!

A few of the posters there come over here as well, Salicin, Willow Puppy. What really prompted me was when HDC was quiet I wanted somewhere else to go and this is where I came!
Unfortunately I don't get on here as often as I'd like, but I still think this place is very friendly

Well I just became a buffy fan in like March so over Easter break I developed a huge obbsession with searching for buffy stuff online ( i dont even know how that cae to be cuz i didnt have the wb at my dads oh well). I saw (gosh i cant remember the title) but its the eppy where w/t are stargazing on the roof and i instantly became a fan. (I knew of them before cuz i saw them in new moon rising and a few other episodes) I was searching for shipper stuff on them and came upon Extra Flamey and spent the entire weekend reading like every fic there.
When I came home I started regularly posting on the w/t thread over at another baord i go to. someone in there mentioned the kitten board, and how its likke the only complete community for w/t fans out there so i went over to Extra Flamey, got the link and came over. My screwed up crazy life has never been the same
Seriously you guys are all great. I may be a lurker a little too much but alls good You all make me feel comfy and welcome and I lvoe it here. Mostly i come here to read the fics but once in awhiule i pop over here to hte kitten board cuz its funny over here and everyones cool hehe

my story is actually a bit strange, because i discovered the kitty board *before* i started watching buffy! i had some friends who were buffy fanatics, and i'd seen the show once or twice before, but suddenly i heard this rumor that the character i'd liked the most (willow), was, well, gay now! so i ran to the internet to see what i could find. first i read the season 4 synopses on buffy guide, and then i found the kitty, as well as the willtara list. a kind soul pointed out how i could get season 4 videos, and soon after i was hooked. not only by willow and tara, but by the awesome, very intelligent people here on the kitty board.
so thanks guys! all of you rock!

How I came to the kitten board? easy.
Being a fan of Buffy I was already on the net being an Amberholic/ poster on The essence of Amber. When Amber was signing her way across the UK a number of Amberholics who post and lurk on this board posted links to the reports some of you had posted here. I came I looked, I lurked, I liked, I posted in the introduction thread, I met Amber, I took a photo of Ambers butt and posted it .
So can I try to claim dual board-ality? (nationality?) Amberholic/ Kitten .
