Hey WP maybe these will help get your "fix" http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dl ... URL=0&rd=1
I'm almost positive they are new since nobody else recognized them (BTW that bid on them is MINE!)

Also suffering from Hannigan.com withdrawal... it's a bit like that scene in 'Trainspotting', only more harrowing. I miss Off Topic and the Creativity Lounge most...

I propose a sacrifice, in the hope it'll bring good fortune on HDC!

Oh great, now we have HDC-style sacrifices happening on the normally normal Kitten Board!

So I guess this is the place to set up a mobile HDC base command, eh?

*starts unfolding a large, drab-green canvas tent*

I didn't have time to grab any of the amenities, like the brand new microwave, or my shiny Nerf gun, but I do have a few jam-jar margaritas to share with the locals!

HELLO FELLOW REFUGEES!!!

Also feeling the withdrawl... So I've turned to my DVD collection.

This weekend alone I've watched the AP2 DVD FOUR TIMES! I've watched it with all four commentaries... and just keep skipping to the Aly parts to see what everyone has to say about her. (BTW, if y'all haven't listened to it yet, Eddie Kay Thomas has some great stuff to say about our girl!)

Oh, I've also broken out the Season 1 DVD's... So the withdrawl hasn't hit me all that badly yet.

How is everyone else dealing with the downtime?

Postby Primary Consult » Sun Jan 27, 2002 6:23 pm

After finding the gates to the Land of Hannigan locked, I wandered aimlessly around the internet for several days. Then, I remembered a parallel dimension I had visited several times, unnoticed by its inhabitants. But where was it? I could not remember the portal to this dimension, nor could I locate it in the log of my travels. After searching the great vastness and consulting a seer named Google, I find myself in this world among a small encampment of others in a similar predicament.

So to answer your question, Tater, I've been trying to think up a good post.

Hey, guys! This home-away-from-home thing isn't so bad. We have pleasant hosts.

Don't just stand around, gimme a hand here! Dusk's a-comin'. Gotta make camp.

Well, I am yet another HDC refugee that has decided to register here.

This is not a bad place to camp out for the time being.

*Sets up green tent with Wllow & Tara prints on them*

Yes, I think this will do very nicely indeed. Heck, I am among Buffy and Willow/Tara fans after all so it shouldn't be bad at all.

I just wanted to mention one more thing. Again, I do appreciate the hospitality and look forward to talking and chatting about Buffy and Aly and Willow/Tara.

Does anybody have any crunchy Cheetos they could part with?

Well, since you brought out the snazzy print, MovieCritic, I guess I shouldn't be ashamed to pull out my limited edition super-fluffy "Extra Flamey" sleeping bag.

And no Cheetos here, all I've got is MRE's. Which taste surprisingly good after a little al-kee-hol; you can barely taste the preservatives.

Damn munchies, I've already polished off a Xander chocolate bar and am currently eyeing one of my last remaining Willow bars. Here's an interesting question, if they come out with another series of Buffy chocolate bars what flavour do you think a Tara bar should be? I tend to lean to milk chocolate with an orange creme filling.

I think she'd be more like a sassy Cadbury creme egg, round and sweet and filled with creamy goodness.

Anya as chocolate and peppermint. Ilike the suggestion of giles as truffle, butwith DARK chocolate (to suit his past)

Or how about a Willow and Tara "sassy eggs" package? They would be chocolate eggs, but Tara's would have a caramel filling since she has a smoother personality and is less likely to get scrambled. Willow's egg would have a lemon marshmallow creme filling: soft and fluffy and melts on your tounge and leaves a tangy aftertaste.

Have been using the down-time to actually clean my house ( Having told certain family members this, they faked a fainting spell....everyone's a comedian )

Hopefully we will get a visit from some of the Kitties

I've put up an emergency board on AHC. You don't need an account to post which is both fun and dangerous. If you want to guarantee nobody uses your name to post, you need to email the admin (that would be me) for an account. I think that's the way it works anyway, because I'm just trying to learn the software as I go. It's free and simple and won't have all the whizbang graphics that vbulletin or UBB have.

Heh heh. I got deleted. I did manage to triple post, though, so I suppose it's my own fault.

I just wanted to register a whoo-hoo, anyway! An AHC board is a good thing in the interim, but I expect by the time HDC does reopen I'll have built up quite a backlog of Off Topic thread ideas and stuff for the Creativity Lounge (or 'Longue', as I prefer to call it). I've already got one drawing which is too OT to post here.

Today's activity log:

  • wake up
  • check HDC, still down, tech support, still evil
  • wash self with wild abandon (the previous evening's filth-laden escapades were still clinging to me in unusual areas. Rocky Horror Picture show crowd, gotta love 'em)
  • check HDC, still down, tech support, still fiendish
  • check with web hosts, abuse support team, still idiots
  • go work out with trainer, still pudgy
  • check HDC, still down
  • play Magic the Gathering with friends, lose, win, win, draw, win
  • lord my nonloserhood over the assembled friend types around table
  • check HDC, still down
  • sit through many hours of tech support hell, feel sullied by the experience.

The point here is that it's 2:28 am here and...

HDC IS BACK ONLINE!

...and I'm very, very tired. We're nowhere near out of the woods yet with our web host but we're working on making sure those money grubbing, bait-n-switching, web-hosting leeches don't sink the community we've managed to build over all these years. That being said, we heartily advocate our members try some dual citizenship with the folks here at The Kitten Board because lord knows they don't have to put up with our crap but they do. That and the community here is just nummy! See you peoples back at HDC.
