New Willow and Tara Comic: Wilderness

DO NOT POST - Backup in Progress

New Willow and Tara Comic: Wilderness

Postby Cipher » Wed Feb 06, 2002 4:50 pm

I hope someone will remind us when it's coming out (maybe when it's possible to pre-order it?). Do both issues come out at the same time, or like a month apart?

I have the photo cover of Wannablessedbe; I've never seen what the art cover looks like. Does anyone have a scan or link showing it?

I've never lost a bid on eBay either, but then I only ever bid on two scripts from Chance. It helped that no one else got close to my opening max bids on either of them. Now I just have to see the movie, so I can read the script without spoiling it.

They haven't updated the Chance web site recently, so it doesn't say anything about showing at Sundance (except that it had been submitted, among other places). Dazey, do you have more info for us beyond that brief mention in the article?

Okay I feel like linking today, for those who have not seen or read anything about WannaBlessedBe yet and will not get their hands on it anytime soon, we have a discussion thread about it. Xita has made some wonderful scans of some of the more coupley W/T scenes and the photo covers, but the links in the thread no longer work. The scans are up in the Nether Realms, and many other scans as well as you can see.

I thought WannaBlessedBe was a sellout in most places. Can one still buy it? (hey, look at me, I'm talking like Mary Poppins!)

It's not for me, by the way. It's for someone else. Ahem.

Big comic stores might have a copy or two ... but last year I had to go to three before I found one with a copy.

ummm i have no idea if this would be the case in the UK.

I could be convinced to sell one of my copies of WBB. I have both covers that are sealed in plastic for protection. Only one has been read. The other was bought and plunked straight away into a my limited edition comic collection. If you have problems finding it, Ruth, I'm sure I could part with one. But I doubt you'll have difficulties. TFAW usually has everything.

I'm loving this new 2-parter It's making the whole Selke fiasco forgivable. Well, wait, I guess Wannablessedbe and that fabulous panel in #33 (featuring W+T smoochies) evened the score. This is just big bonus stuff. I'm really looking forward to it. Also, I don't mean to push my politics on anyone, but please try to support your local comic book shops as well as buying stuff online... Independent stores need all the help they can get, usually, and most are happy to do pre-orders.

Yes buying from the local comicbook store is the best way. They get it first, so you get it quicker. You build a relationship with the owner and you get the perks of getting certain exclusive stuff. And you support small businesses. This is the way to go.

Do we know when Wilderness, part 1 will be available? It's not out yet, but soon, right?

Now I gotta figure out where a "local" comic book store would be. I found Wannablessedbe at Barnes & Noble, but they don't seem to be regularly carrying comics these days and might not have it.

You know what I would like to see?

I would like to see Joss and Amber collaborate on doing a comic that will fill in some of the gaps of W/T's relationship, or is this a dead issue?

There is still a lot of speculation on the specifics of W/T's relationship.
