Good day everyone
I've been a long-time lurker who feels that now is the time to lend a shoulder and moral support in this trying time.

My stats?
Name: Paul
Why the Username Corinthian? A gambling name from waaaay back. Basically my poker face, which right now, is a good thing to hide the potential grief.
Home: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

I guess that's it for now. I will resurface when I feel I am able to contribute to the board without emotional breaks.

Talk to you soon.
And glad to be here.

Thank you, Sela! In my 'lurking' days I've found the board to be a rollicking fun place, where everyone is willing to speak of their hopes and fears, not just for Willow / Tara et al, but of themselves as well.

I look forward to getting to know the kitten community better.

And everyone, feel free to call me Paul.

hi - new here ladida!

Basically I have always adored Willow, and on hearing that she was gay, I suddenly thought, my god, what I've been feeling isn't evil and wrong, the relationship between her and tara has been a learning experience for me and I've learnt that I'm alright for being me.

I love the show, I love Joss, I love them, and I'm totally addicted to Spoilers - help me!

Hello kittens, I'm new here...
And I know it is not the best moment for you... (us).

Just a few introducing words.

I'm italian, so, even if I can try to type understandable english, I'm sorry if sometimes it will turn to be quite BAD.

I'm a true fan of our beloved witches, and I'm really worried and 'upset' for what it seems is going on, but...
I'm NOT joining this room just because now there are those well known spoiling rumors, but just because I knew about this room just a few days ago, and I love you, the way this room is conducted, and, of course, Tara and willow relationship.

I hope write soon, even if I'm not so sure about my english.

Meanwhile, a big HUG to everybody.

Strong like an amazon... (or an amazon fan).

love, kittens.

Postby anon » Mon Mar 11, 2002 4:02 pm

Okay, so I have been registered here since May and lurking for much longer. Many of the people who registered when I first started visiting this board now they have 1000's of posts. (I think I have a total of ten or eleven.) I have apreciated being able to read and root for everyone who posts here. I love the loyalty shown towards Willow and Tara. They do not just represent fictional characters, they represent each of us in a little way. I apreciate being able to sit back and observe. I have a job that requires me to be extremely extraverted and it is nice to have place to sit back and be anonomous but still feel a part of the community.

I am finally now introducing myself because it is a nostagic day. It is six months after the September 11th. I remember watching the events unfold on television and wanting to be more connected with what was going on. I wasn't at home and needed to connect somehow. So how did I do that? I logged on to the web and checked out this board. That day and many others, it was not about Willow and Tara . It was about the community that has been created here. I feel so fortunate to have stumbled may way into this board even if I rarely post. So now, I hope you will see this introduction as my feeble way of expressing my apreciation to this board, the moderators and monitors, and all those faithful who post here.

I have been a fan of Buffy since it first came on television. I must admitt that I was in graduate school dorms and would turn my television low because Buffy was my little vice. I mean, what was a 25 year old doing watching a "teeny-boppy" show like Buffy. (We know that it is so much more than the name but that has not always been that easy to explain.) Now at 30, I am still hooked to the show. I even had to watch it in spanish one year because I was out of the country. My best friend is extremely faithful to the show. (It was actually her husband who introduced her to the show) Our Tuesday night conversations have become a tradition for us. We pick the show apart. But it is this board that has fed my love for our favorite couple. Willow and Tara are what keep me watching this show. I have loved watching the relationship grow from the first Wicca meeting. And now it is this board that keeps me logging onto the internet. Thanks!

I s'pose I should go ahead and introduce myself as well, since..uhm..this is THE thread on which to introduce yourself..unless the title is false advertising...I'll shut up.

I'm also in Toronto, Canada (Go Women's Hockey!) and I only started watching Buffy when Tara appeared.

A few months ago, a writer for Buffy came to my University and chatted with us about writing. (I believe her name was Tracey Forbes or something of the like? ..She wrote where the wild things are and some others) and she had some amusing stories to tell...she's a graduate from my school! So, that's my little claim to Buffy fame.

Anyways, I'm here, so it goes without saying that I worship the ground Willow and Tara walk on. Nuff said.

Another long-time lurker registering to show solidarity with the Kitten Board--a refuge I have turned to many times in the past.

I've been a great admirer of the show since I first saw it back in '97 and I'm a big enough fan that I've taped every episode since then.

In real life I teach Philosophy at a University in the USA.

Enough about me. Looking forward to being a full-fledged member of the kitten community.

Hi!

I'm Amber, and I've been reading the posts on this wonderful board for the last couple of weeks. You guys all sound so sweet!

I'm 16, and a spoiler addict. I try not to read em, but it's so hard! LOL! I sound like an AA member: Hello, my name is Amber, and I'm a spoileraholic.

But yeah, I'm a huge W/T shipper. I'm a sophomore in high school, and I love to writer poetry and read fantasy and lesbian novels. I'm currently reading The Vampire Lestat; it's wonderful. So um, that's it!
Talk to you soon!

Hello everyone.
My friends call me Babs.
I just registered a few days ago. When that terrible rumor started. I posted regarding it cause I felt touched by it as well. I lost a dear loved one on Sept. 11 and I haven't been going out much so I started watching BtVS again. (Stopped watching sometime in Season 4) Anyway, I felt very attached to the W/T relationship because it seemed like it was pure and wholesome. I've been lurking for quite a while and decided to come out. (In more ways then one) I really enjoy the posts I read. I kind of feel at home and would like to thank everyone for that.
Looking foward to reading somemore and who knows, I may post again soon.
Love to you all.

Umm...okay I'm mellowtrung. I hated this show for the longest time - then I actually watched it. Now I like it. It's...intersting, smartly funny, and I was extremely impressed by the acting. I really thought it was going to suck. I was ever so wrong. Umm...I don't know what else to say. So, hello to all of you.

Finally registered...

So, I'm basically either a powerful pain killer, been around on the market since the 60's, manifactured first in Germany or one of Montreal's finest Pagan female gay young sociology college student. I'm a huge Willow/Tara shipper, I appreciate them immensely for various personal reasons, but I just love the character of Tara, with the simple spirituality and the shy smiles, and the intellect and wisdom...

So uhm. Hi!

Hi! I've been lurking a little while now, figured I had better introduce myself, in order to post (or just reiterate something that 5 other people are already saying ).

Well, I've been watching Buffy since it's birth... Survived highschool because of it... Love W+T (duh), and the way they've dealt with Tara's life has really helped me work through my own. (As I said, reiteration )

Looking forward to overly-analytical and long-winded debate with you all.

Hello, I'm Joe. I think I accidentally commented in an episode thread a few weeks ago, before introducing myself here, I hope you kind souls can forgive me

I'm 22, and started watching Buffy around the end of season 4. I like to say that Tara had a head start but I caught up with her. When I began watching she was an inexperienced member of the group, not sure of her place, not sure who those around her were. As she learned more about these people, so did I. As she became their friends, so did I.

I like many characters, but I really love and admire Tara. Every week I actually say out loud, "I'm proud of you Tara", which is pathetic, but I am proud of her. She has never been afraid of a weird environment or these somewhat weird people. Instead, she is confident in herself, her abilities, and stands up for what she believes in.

*edited for spoilers

Oops...sorry, I forgot to mention that Jason is my name and Joe is more of a nickname. I couldn't put Joe as my name because someone else was already using it. So, Jason is fine.

Hi everyone... I'm appelle.

I've been a Buffy fan from day 1, but started getting really into it during season 4. It is now the only show I watch.

Willow and Tara make my smile turn neon. While I watched it develop I kept saying "Don't get your hopes up... they'll never let her come out..." and then boom, there it was. I'll be quite upset if this season is somehow the end of that.

My girly and I watch religiously and I'm happy to find a community so obviously into the show the same way we are. So, hello kittens!

Sorry about posting on the other board. I thought I had hit the reply button to post on this thread. Sorry for my screw up...see that is why i stay in the shadows..safer and trouble free. Anywho...Once again just want to say hello. I have been a Buffy fan since the original movie came out and love the series. I am a huge Willow fan and love Willow and Tara. Little something about me: I live in Oklahoma and love to read anything scifi. Huge Star Wars, Star Trek, and Buffy fan. Stepping back into the shadows now.

Hey! I'm new here, and. . .a little nervous and whatnot. . .wondering if there was a welcome wagon, or some sort of freaky initation rituals involved in joining. Anyway. . .yeah.

So, hi. I'm Jane, the Frog on the Wall - I write fic, rabidly, although it's generally Dark Angel related, not BtVS. 'Cause there aren't that many stupendous writers involved in DA fic, which makes me look good. . .anyway. I like the colour purple, broadway, kittens, Tigger, and punk rock. I also have a tendency towards tackle hugz and sporking. . .

Yes, I'm new here! Well, new as in I'm just now beginning to post. If all the talk about the BSD doesn't drag the lurkers out, then I don't know what will.
I'm a huge BtVS fan in general, but it has been the W/T relationship that has kept me most interested since it began in season 4. Well, not simply interested, more like completely hooked on it. IMO it's the best thing that has happened to any TV show.

So, hello to all!

Hello All!

I have to start by saying how glad I am to have found you guys! Finally - people who understand where I'm coming from! Here's a bit about me for anyone who's interested:
I'm Amy but everyone calls me murph. I'm from Scotland but I kinda live between there and Texas (where I am right now) cos that's where my girlfriend's from. My W/T fascination began around a year ago. It started off as something small niggling at the back of my brain then before I knew it BOOM! full blown obsession! My girlfriend unfortunately doesn't see the beauty of the show or W/T but she's trying for my sake (bless!)
Anyhoo, enough about me. Just want to add one final comment. Thank you so much kittens for being different to your average message board/fan base and not being uber cliquey! Much appreciated!

T:"There was the front of a camel - a half camel" Cue adorable grin from Amber
