Remember the Kitten Board Mantra: "Joss is nuts about Tara, Willow/Tara and Amber!"
(...and Marti's rather fond of them, too...)
Thanks...
That is one of the most heartfelt posts I have evr read on any board. It is both intelligently and beautifully constructed, and will hopefully help visitors and bezoars understand how upsetting certain rumour-mongering can become.

More than half the posters were going, "huh?"
I'd like to think it was a little bit Kitten inspired.

I miss Tito. Does anyone know if he's coming to the wedding? (If he is Xander's best man, perhaps he is coming at the wedding as well. Hehehe.)
Oh, and how appropriate. Valentine's Day, a Tito post AND a poor sexual pun for my 25th post. Did my identification thingy change? (hope, hope.)
Edited to add: Grrr. No it didn't. How many posts do I need?! (Well, it will have to wait till next week, as I'm going sking all weekend.)

She tells us, that Amber is the only one who didn't sign any contract for next season. so like that everybody thinks that Tara is gonna die.
Now, i just believe that all that, is just a big trick. That's all.
Plus, killing Tara will be way, too obvious. Oh, she is the gay character, we kill this one. And Joss alreday proved that he is far from all the obvious things.
Ange.
That is good.
Now about Amber not signing yet. I'll be the first to admit I know less than nothing about the inner-workings of Hollywood (and I don't care to know). But my best friend of 28 years works at Dreamworks and listening to him talk this seems like a 'normal' thing. That is it is easier to renew a contract than to sign-up a completely different type of one.
I just hope like all of you that she does get signed on. But if means her being in the credit vs. the freedom to do her own projects then I'd rather she had the freedom.

I want to thank everyone who read my post and were so warm in answer to it. Hard to know what will happen when I start ranting.
I think we have every reason to be hopeful. We have spoilers that give us more Tara and seem to imply that she will be more a part of the show. And they are really expanding her relationships with the Scoobies.
In 'OAFA,' we see them have that cute talk over breakfast when they both realize that they feel/think the same way about wanting to go, but not wanting to go. Their smiles were so sweet and the scene reminds you of the earliest moment in a relationship when you're pleasantly surprised at how easily you click with someone.
Then in 'As You Were,' we hear Willow say she thinks she could call Tara, and it reminds you of the first time you work up the nerve to call the other person, but you're not sure how they'll respond.
Then in 'Entropy,' we see Willow working up the courage to ask Tara out for coffee and it reminds you of that pivotal moment when you finally put yourself on the line and ask the person out.
Based on this pattern, I think the next stage would logically be the first real date/first goodnight kiss (maybe in ep 18). Here's hoping they stay true to form.

Yes autumn, it would be cute if say Willow is over the initial hesitation of eving calling her in ep 16 and in 17 she's trying to bump into her just finding anyway to see Tara. Of course, it would be hard to watch unspoiled, say Willow sees Tara with some girl and walks away disappointed. You'd think oh my is Tara maybe really seeing another girl and oh god is Willow going to give up trying to make it work. I am glad I am spoiled now cause we know that girls is just a friend
Sometimes . . .
If I'm not mistaken, what we know is that the wedding doesn't happen and that Anya at least tries to do some kind of vengeance curse on Xander (but that it doesn't work). I can't help but wonder about the future of Anya's character in the case of a X/A breakup, both in terms of her place on the show, and also in terms of where she will be as a character after at least trying to resort back to her vengeful roots.
Now, I couldn't help but think that the way they had the little scene with Halfrek getting skewered that they were setting up the idea that vengeance or justice demons are particularly hard to kill. So what happens if Anya gets D'Hoffryn to turn her back into a demon and is planning on coming after Xander? Or would she just use Halfrek to make a wish against him and then they would have to look for a way to stop Halfrek?
We've talked about Willow being tempted toward magic and I can't help but think that Xander in danger would have almost as deep an emotional impact on her as Tara being in danger. Not because of romantic feelings but because they have been so close for so long. Those feelings run really, really deep.
So what exactly would she do if she believed Anya was really going to do something to hurt Xander?
It surprises me that I haven't seen people speculating more about this. I know Anya is popular and everything, and I honestly do like her. But when push comes to shove, I don't know that I would necessarily trust her to take the high road. Y'know?

My thoughts are more along the emotional impact rather than worrying about her having to do magic to somehow save Xander.
I wonder if Willow and Tara seeing their friends go through what one assumes might be a nasty breakup might reconsider things about the current state of their own relationship. Do they really want to be apart? Can they repair their relationship?
There's always been a pretty big difference between how the Xander/Anya and Willow/Tara relationships have been portrayed. It always seemed to me that Xander and Anya pretty much stumbled into being together based on sex. That they grew to love each other, but because their relationship started out based on sex and not friendship we've seen an uglier side to it - Xander's constant demeaning of Anya for instance. And this season they've appeared to stumble towards marriage as well in the same manner.
Willow and Tara started out in a friendship relationship and started having sex after that. The way they have treated each other around others (with the exception of the witnessed arguments about magic) has always been supportive and kind. That's why I have always considered their's the relationship that could weather even very tough times. There's been no wish on either of their parts to harm the other or get revenge on the other in the midst of their breakup. And yet we can see that happening very easily with Xander and Anya - mostly because their's is not a very mature relationship even though they are thinking that getting married is the mature thing to do. Instead, it's obvious that Willow and Tara still love each other.
To me seeing the Xander/Anya relationship disolve might teach them that it is very difficult in this life to find the type of love that they have together. It might act as a further catalyst for them to work through their issues and return to each other.
That's my hope.
