Seems like it could be Tara since she seems to have the closest relationship with Anya.

a) The first episode of this was on earlier this week, so this isn't really news.
b) This isn't really a 'Buffy' spoiler as such, as it's been known that ASH was going to be in this series for ages, so why post it in this thread?
c) The last I heard, 'Ripper' had been temporarily put on hold so that Joss could concentrate on 'Firefly'.

Oh this almost got lost in the dress and more "spoilers" that are really old news fray. Thanks oh wize and wooly one, I think many of us had assumed this, but since the end to episode 16 has not been revealed it is good to get confirmation. Well, not good in a yippeee more pain for fictional characters way, but good to know one way or the other from a trusted and actually truly and really 100% accurate source.

Well, we knew Xander and Anya had to blow up sooner or later since that does seem to be the theme. Pity they could not have done it before Tara had to wear that dress.

Given the truly inspired hidiousness of those dresses what's the chance that Tara and Buffy are looking at Anya's choice of attire in that shot. It's got that whole jaw's are dropped, literaly in SMG's case, "oh my God what were you thinking" look about it.

Maybe the reason why Tara and Buffy look so shocked in that picture is that they could be looking at Dawn and what she's wearing. I was thinking that Anya could have made Dawn the flower girl and forced her to wear a flower girl dress as some sort of revenge for the stealing Dawn did. Plus we know Anya treats Dawn like a little kid, so naturally she'd reserve the part of 'flower girl' for Dawn.

Not to change the subject or anything, but has anyone heard if Amber is coming back next season? All signs seem to be pointing to a yes, but I would like to hear something.
I know she likes doing movies, but Aly and SMG are doing a great job of balancing Buffy and their movie careers. I am sure Amber can do the same. Besides, the show seems to be ending after next season, and Amber will have plenty of time to do other things. All I know is, Joss will never find anyone, male or female, that will have even have half the chemistry of Amber and Aly.

Most likely we won't hear any news like that until the summer. That's usually when new contracts are negotiated.

On the other hand, the reason contract talks are held off until then is because the Executive Producers don't know ahead of time what next season's budget will be, or even if they'll be on the air. In the case of Buffy they already have a deal for next season, so they may work something out with Amber sooner than that. Even if this is the case, though, I wouldn't expect to hear anything until they're done shooting this season, because everyone's probably going to be too busy before then.

How's that? Do I need to vague it up a little?

As far as Firefly goes, it starts filming a week from tuesday. I'm mind-bogglingly excited about it. But don't think for a SECOND it's gonna lessen my involvement in th' Buf. I've got next year so WIRED! Angel, too. Couldn't be more psyched. I'll stop by when I can to give you all insights on any of the shows I can. (though I reveal nothing...) It should be pointed out that if Firefly is about to shoot, that would make it very very unlikely that there are any current Buffy cast members involved with it.

Just thought I'd mention that, since one of the theories surrounding the still-unsupported death rumors is that Joss would kill off a Buffy character so that the actor playing that character would be available for Firefly.

I believe Marti is scheduled to write 21.

Having thought over Joss's posts a bit more, I believe he came in to a) start getting the Firefly buzz going even more, b) let us all know he's still on top of BtVS & AtS (so we don't worry about Marti messing with our girls or anything else), c) show support for Marti.

I can find nothing but good in Joss's comments about AICN.
