I am Danielle; I took my user name form one of cat's who happened to be sitting on the computer when I posted for the first time. I've been an off and on Buffy fan since my sister forced me to watch an episode during the 2nd season. I became devoted as soon as it was clear where TPTB were going with Willow and Tara's relationship.
The main draw for me and this board is fan fiction. The form interests me and I have all kinds of theories about fan fiction's relation to oral traditions of story telling. I'll read just about anything that has to do with a show I'm interested in, but love tightly constructed epics.
I'm in my early 30's, work in retail to pay the bills and can't spell to save my life.

I live and go to school in Chico, a small town in northern California. I'm a media arts major, hoping to get into independent film production as a writer/director (like everyone else I guess.) This semester I've promised myself I'd finish a short film that I originally wanted to do last year, so I'm hoping that works out.
I grew up here, but lived in Seattle for about 5 years after I graduated high school. I miss it a lot, and once I graduate I'm thinking about moving back.
Besides being a full time student (my last semester -yay!) I work part time for my parents and volunteer at the Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender Center. I've been doing a gothic/industrial radio show on a community radio station for almost three years now (Absynthe is also my radio name.)
I've been lurking at the kitten board for over a year and its one of my favorite places to visit and share in the Willow/Tara goodness.
Besides Willow & Tara, my loves include, in no particular order: The writings of Kathe Koja and Caitlin R. Kiernan, the films of Atom Egoyan, Joe Bob Briggs, goth & industrial music, and recently Michael & Brian's relationship on Queer as Folk.
Okay, back to lurking.

However, the actual quote in my sig "When the fox knaws - SMILE" is actually a more modern writer. Hint, he was known for science fiction.

I am Canadian, share Alyson Hannigan's birthday (in date, not year)... umm... I don't actually know what else to put. I adore books, music, and theatre of all sorts. I am a singer (or well, going to go into singing, hopefully... and by that I mean I will make no money and likely live on my best friend's couch as he is practical and going to be a chiropractor.)
I've actually only been watching BTVS since the musical episode aired. Me, being very into musical theatre, just had to check out an episode that was going to be a musical. I've been hooked since. I've caught up some from the Space channel, so have seen from season four tot he end of season five... yeah. That's enough out of me.

So, this is the first post..wow...I'm feeling all official...and a bit
dorky. but you guys all seem pretty cool, and I hope you won't mock my unashamed dorkyness and
unfocussed rambling.
So...hi everyone...I'm 25, from New Zealand, and a bit of a geek
(but you probably guessed that by now)
huge buffy fan...started watching in S2...became shamelessly addicted
sometime last November, when I picked up S1 DVD on sale...which started a
descent into madness (buying S2 & 3 on DVD, and 4 on video..and you wouldn't believe how
far I had to go to find the first part of S4!!!). and after watching all of
that..and season 5 finished up on TV here around the same time...I found
myself lurking furtively around the internet for more...and ended up
here...finding that I'm not the only big Willow/Tara fan...yay
I do have another, even bigger obsession...and can't let an introduction go by without mentioning
my all time favourite band Toad the Wet Sprocket....so, there's the mention...YAY for Toad...
and they even have a buffy-linkage - they had a song on the movie soundtrack...
not much else to say, I'm not that interesting really, but never know how to finish these
type of things, usually just end up wandering back to the shadows mumbling to myself...
and I'll probably be back tomorrow to edit this post, when I reread it in the cold hard light of day, and realise what a wierdo I am...

I'm a big fan of Willow and Tara, and here seems to be the perfectly place to register when you are a "Willow and Tara Fan" so here I am!! I'm from Canada and I'm originally speaking french but I'm trying hard to learn english and what's a better way to learn that to listen all of Willow and Tara goodness and read all the great fic post on that board! lol
