Dear Little Willow
Could you please post up all the information here? I went to your click on for more info but just get a page where I can sign up for an email list, there is no info there about this effort. If folks are required to sign up for lists to participate in this fund raiser there may some who will be less inclinded to do so.

Is the movie in danger of not being made for lack of funds? Or is this a fan based initiative to show support and help her out ? what I mean is who started the fund raiser, why, is it sanctioned by amber and does it have a website?

Does the Movie and/or Ambers Production Company have its own web site? There has been a good bit of info on the movie out already like who is in it and what its about and when it is filming so I would have expected that funds were secured to at least get the filming done. Its always a good promo for any up coming film to have an official web site to get a buzz going and keep fans informed. Even if Amber has the money to make the film there are always post production and distribution costs. Is that what the funds will be for?

Is Benson Inc listed officially as ambers own production company? or has someone set this up as a clearing house to sell pictures and raise funds, I assume on Ambers behalf?

That is to say are we sending checks directly to Amber/her company or are they going to a fund raiser who is selling the pics, collecting the money, taking a percentage for their efforts and then giving the rest to Amber. Not that I think anyone is trying to run a scam or anything like that, but I have found its easier to fund raise when there is up front public disclosure and information about how the fund raiser works and if those raising the funds are taking an operating fee.

Personally I'd be happy to make a contribution to Ambers movie effort but I'd prefer the money went directly to her.

How much is needed to be raised and by when?

Ok....I guess I have to go to MY old standard form of fundraising...in order to send Amber some money! I go up to all of my friends and ask if I can borrow a dollar!
I've seen a few concerts that way...it really works...you should try it. Of course I do pay them back when they need it though...I'm not just a big mooch! Countdown is now at 10 hours and 16 minutes.

costs of CHANCE - her indepedent film that will show her talents not only as
an actress, but as a director, writer and producer as well. She has no
sponsors and the costs are, well, costing, so it's time for YOU to help!

They will be selling an EXCLUSIVE signed 8x10 glossy photography of Amber in

tvsurfer: I just posted every last bit of info. Yes, it goes to her. Yes, we're setting up a movie site. As I said in the posts and emails, the fundraiser is being helmed by three people, one of which is Amber's mother, and EVERY LAST CENT goes to Amber's film. Do not worry. This is all legit. Amber herself will be posting at the Bronze board in the next few days to make sure everyone knows that. The funds are to help production costs. Since the original projection, costs have about tripled.

Its so exciting to see a young woman go after what she wants in life and make her own dreams come true! Even more so in an industry that is so male dominated.

Can we get an organized effort from the kittens? Would you be willing to put together a list of Kittens who are donating?

Perhaps we could post you privatly telling you we have donated and how much and you could place a header on the kitten board with the grand total donated by kittens?
or maybe a thread with the names of the kittens donating to the effort and the grand total donated (a grand total rather than individ. donations is probably more PC)?

You may also want to try posting your information especially the official website information to some of the other major tv fan forums if you haven't already

even if you can find 1000 buffy fans at the amber/amber:tara boards and get a very optimistic 30% response rate that still is only $4500 (300X15) and I'm guessing she will be needing 300k minimum and more likly 3 mil optimally to get a project like this done and sold. So expanding beyond the tara/willow:tara boards to other venues may help you reach more potential donors

It takes 3 to 7 days for regular mail to get from New Zealand to LA. She will have it by then.

OK kittens, I'm just like all of you here, and the check's on its way over to the AmberCrew over there, but also I was thinking ( no kidding, really...) and I thought maybe we could do something else - or actually, SOMETHING MORE. I'll just throw the idea here, you guys tell me if it's plain idiotic, ok ? It's not like I've worked all this through my head, but all the brains around here, surely we can figure this one out...this is beneath us kittens! Ok here it is : we're all merrily planning KittenBoardParties (KBP) both in the US and the UK, right ? Well, you see how the recent Bronze PBP was held to raise money for a cause that right now just escapes my mind, but anyway : how about we somehow 'use' our parties for our cause, being Amber ? This could be a way to have fun in a helpful way... I'm not saying the photo thing isn't cool - it really rocks - but I thought you know, why stop here ? Maybe there's more we could do, you know, plus the photo thing. Now I'm not rich or whatever, but I figure not everyone will send 50$, so maybe the ones who send a smaller amount of money right now would be willing to help some more later.... Plus there's the thing that Amber will be in the UK for Nocturnal inJune, so maybe there's something to do here. I don't know, I admit I'm a bit tired right now and can't work all this stuff out, but I figured all of us together, well maybe we could.

What do you guys think? That I should get some sleep ? Hmm, maybe... Later.

welcome to the board. that's a cool idea. we'll have a Kitten Board Party and at the same time help Amber with her movie by raising funds. i believe April started the thread for the KBP so let's all put our thinking caps on and plan this event for the fans and for supporting Amber with her movie. wouldn't it be cool to have Amber and Aly as guests?. but of course, that would be impossible. well, that's my second wishful thinking for the day. heh.heh.

first we must decide on the location (east coast or west coast, etc.) then where in the city it will be held (restaurant, house, Amber's or Aly's house, heh.heh. etc.) and when (month, time, date, etc.) if each person will donate let's say $25 (just an example) and if there would be atleast 50 ppl going (just an estimate, there are alot of us here, right?) that'll make $1,250 give or take... so who's with me? well, it's upto you guys but those are just my suggestions... of course the majority rules in any decision the kitty board has decided upon. LW that really bites! I've looked into a few of these celeb site places before (there are three companies that I know of who specialize in hosting celebrity websites). They all seem to be high on flash, low on content AND to top it off...they have lots of rules about content and the like.

Most of the actors I know have hooked up with fans to run their 'official' sites and that seems to work out the best. You get someone who REALLY knows and appreciates their subject and does it for the pure fun & joy. Not some paid techie (no offense to computer geeks ) who wants to show off their skill and most times could care less about their audience -- the fans.

OK kittens, I'm just like all of you here, and the check's on its way over to the AmberCrew over there, but also I was thinking ( no kidding, really...) and I thought maybe we could do something else - or actually, SOMETHING MORE. I'll just throw the idea here, you guys tell me if it's plain idiotic, ok ? It's not like I've worked all this through my head, but all the brains around here, surely we can figure this one out...this is beneath us kittens! Ok here it is : we're all merrily planning KittenBoardParties (KBP) both in the US and the UK, right ? Well, you see how the recent Bronze PBP was held to raise money for a cause that right now just escapes my mind, but anyway : how about we somehow 'use' our parties for our cause, being Amber ? This could be a way to have fun in a helpful way... I'm not saying the photo thing isn't cool - it really rocks - but I thought you know, why stop here ? Maybe there's more we could do, you know, plus the photo thing. Now I'm not rich or whatever, but I figure not everyone will send 50$, so maybe the ones who send a smaller amount of money right now would be willing to help some more later.... Plus there's the thing that Amber will be in the UK for Nocturnal inJune, so maybe there's something to do here. I don't know, I admit I'm a bit tired right now and can't work all this stuff out, but I figured all of us together, well maybe we could.

What do you guys think? That I should get some sleep ? Hmm, maybe... Later.

welcome to the board. that's a cool idea. we'll have a Kitten Board Party and at the same time help Amber with her movie by raising funds. i believe April started the thread for the KBP so let's all put our thinking caps on and plan this event for the fans and for supporting Amber with her movie. wouldn't it be cool to have Amber and Aly as guests?. but of course, that would be impossible. well, that's my second wishful thinking for the day. heh.heh.

first we must decide on the location (east coast or west coast, etc.) then where in the city it will be held (restaurant, house, Amber's or Aly's house, heh.heh. etc.) and when (month, time, date, etc.) if each person will donate let's say $25 (just an example) and if there would be atleast 50 ppl going (just an estimate, there are alot of us here, right?) that'll make $1,250 give or take... so who's with me? well, it's upto you guys but those are just my suggestions... of course the majority rules in any decision the kitty board has decided upon. I know she's gonna be busy with all aspects of the movie, but then atleast she'll be able to tell the fans her thoughts and feelings re: the process. as a newly-annointed moderator, i have a favor to ask of you: we've been having some board glitches and errors that occur when threads reach a certain length, usually between 3 and 6 pages. for some unknown reason, these errors occur most often when people double-post, which is part of the reasoning behind our "no double posting" policy. in order to keep the length of this thread down and avoid glitches, in the future could you respond to multiple people in one post or edit your posts rather than double posting?

LW that really bites! I've looked into a few of these celeb site places before (there are three companies that I know of who specialize in hosting celebrity websites). They all seem to be high on flash, low on content AND to top it off...they have lots of rules about content and the like.

Most of the actors I know have hooked up with fans to run their 'official' sites and that seems to work out the best. You get someone who REALLY knows and appreciates their subject and does it for the pure fun & joy. Not some paid techie (no offense to computer geeks ) who wants to show off their skill and most times could care less about their audience -- the fans.

hey French Rose,
welcome to the board. that's a cool idea. we'll have a Kitten Board Party and at the same time help Amber with her movie by raising funds. i believe April started the thread for the KBP so let's all put our thinking caps on and plan this event for the fans and for supporting Amber with her movie. wouldn't it be cool to have Amber and Aly as guests?. but of course, that would be impossible. well, that's my second wishful thinking for the day. heh.heh.

first we must decide on the location (east coast or west coast, etc.) then where in the city it will be held (restaurant, house, Amber's or Aly's house, heh.heh. etc.) and when (month, time, date, etc.) if each person will donate let's say $25 (just an example) and if there would be atleast 50 ppl going (just an estimate, there are alot of us here, right?) that'll make $1,250 give or take... so who's with me? well, it's upto you guys but those are just my suggestions... of course the majority rules in any decision the kitty board has decided upon. ooooh, jen/Mabb sent me an E yesterday in response to the ltr i sent her re: Amber's fundraiser. i suggested this:

"I was just wondering... if it's not too much to ask, it would be cool how Amber is doing with the developments of the movie through a weekly (or monthly) journal. I know she's gonna be busy with all aspects of the movie, but then atleast she'll be able to tell the fans her thoughts and feelings re: the process. as a newly-annointed moderator, i have a favor to ask of you: we've been having some board glitches and errors that occur when threads reach a certain length, usually between 3 and 6 pages. for some unknown reason, these errors occur most often when people double-post, which is part of the reasoning behind our "no double posting" policy. in order to keep the length of this thread down and avoid glitches, in the future could you respond to multiple people in one post or edit your posts rather than double posting?

I know I should post more -- it's just quicker and easier for me to lurk these days. I am very busy with my work, both in the office and out. But I will try to drop a line more often.

As for Ms. Spoiler Demon -- now she's a tough one. She has taken the winter off for what she likes to call "psychic hibernation." Perhaps I can rouse her though -- a few jabs with the magic wand ought to do the trick.

LW that really bites! I've looked into a few of these celeb site places before (there are three companies that I know of who specialize in hosting celebrity websites). They all seem to be high on flash, low on content AND to top it off...they have lots of rules about content and the like.

Most of the actors I know have hooked up with fans to run their 'official' sites and that seems to work out the best. You get someone who REALLY knows and appreciates their subject and does it for the pure fun & joy. Not some paid techie (no offense to computer geeks ) who wants to show off their skill and most times could care less about their audience -- the fans.

It's not about trying to lure Amber or Aly or anyone else into the middle of a wild bunch of rabid fans... It's like going to the PBP, I bet you can tell what mattered to you was meeting other Bronzers, and the VIPs were just like the extra chocolate frosting on the already very yummy cake. (sorry, I'm hungry now too...) And I'd feel guilty for keeping the A's from their work in any way. They're doing too well.
