DO NOT POST - Backup in Progress

My contribution

I have read some great FanFics here, seen some wonderful wallpapers and SIMS, so I thought I would share my own little slice of love for BTV and W/T in particular.

The problem is I am neither artisitic nor talented with prose. In fact brain damaged lemures can do a better job than me.

But what I can do (and actually have been paid for in the past!) is write role-playing game materials.

So I have set up a site devoted to my new efforts of bringing Willow, Tara and the rest into the world of my fellow geeks and fan boys!

You can see my efforts at http://www.xtreme-gaming.com/~theotherside/buffy.php or http://www.xtreme-gaming.com/~theotherside/buffy.html if your browser doesnot support PHP.

I have also set up a page on my latest game, based on the wonderful FanFic "Coming Up Roses" at http://www.xtreme-gaming.com/~theotherside/cur.php

I don't know how many gamers are here, but I have come to respect your views on things W/T. I plan to create a new set of pages dealing more with the cast members soon. I need to determine what I can and can't say yet on-line.

Thanks!

Oh. My main page is http://www.xtreme-gaming.com/~theotherside/ if you happen to be curious at all.

Warlock.

LOL. I haven't had chance to examine your site in detail but if looks pretty spiffy and seems to deal with many of the potential BTVSRPG issues (though I haven't roleplayed since before Buffy came to air.)

All I was going to say is that if you can create detailed RPG backgrounds then you have the raw material necessary to try writing prose - imagination, a sense for plotting and obsessive tendencies. No need for talent unless you are trying to sell it (and I should know about not needing talent.)
Personally when I used to be involved in RPG I was obsessive setting up every little detail of every possible scene. Backgrounds that players would never get near - just because I wanted to know for myself. And now, instead, I do that in writing my humble fanfics... they let you explore what you want to and there are no pesky player characters to waltz off in a totally opposite direction! "All we are saying is give writing fic a chance."
And also don't underestimate the creative powers of the humble lemur.

Good job with the site - the Coming Up Roses storyline does appear to lend itself to what you intend.

Great page Web Warlock!

I've been actualy thinking of doing a W/T or Buffy (but still mostly W/T based) mod for Newerwinter Nights when it comes out. Will probably be very hard, but should be fun. If you want to help in the production of the mod (in any way: story, map design, dialogue, artwork etc.) please e-mail me: everneverforeverme@yahoo.com

NOTE: Newerwinter Nights doesn't come out in a few months so there's plenty of time!

Thanks!

It is always great to hear that.
I am in the process of switching hosts and I only have a 1/3 of my pages back up.

I am also going to start hosting other peoples game notes and fan fics. I let you all know more about it when I do.

If anyone has anything they would like a home for, I'll be happy to put it up. Esp. if it helps my game!

I saw your link, and thought it interesting enough to go to your site and have a look.

I am something of an RP player myself, or at least I used to be, and while I didn't check every detail of your site I liked what I saw enough to let you know.

I'm probably the first member of CUR to do so, and I thought you might like to know I think it's a fine idea.

I like that the little creative endeavor we have been putting out, has inspired someone so much as to create a game for it.

Keep up the good work.

I have said it before to anyone who will listen.

I love "CUR", I think it is great. Plus it is a future I can see happening. Let's face it, how much more time doest the series really have? Even the great ones should bow out gracefully (X-files....), but "CUR" is not "The further adventures of (the friends of ) Buffy the VS.", it something else.

That and the unabashed affection I have for the characters of Willow and Tara....

I have been writing books on Witches for the last three years straight. For once it is nice for some one else (you!) to come up with the nice bits!

I was going to post my in depth analysis of Willow and Tara this week (what else is an out-of-work psychologist supposed to do?), but I switched servers.

My site is now at, http://www.xtreme-gaming.com/~theotherside/

Thanks! I am glad you liked my site!

Speaking of unabashed affections....

I have updated my site.

I have added more from my game playing notes on adding Willow and Tara to your game. I have backgrounds, histories, links and of course Unisystem stats. It may surprise some of you, but the girls don't seem to work well under d20 .

Anyway the starting point is here, http://www.xtreme-gaming.com/~theothers ... ltara.html.

Each girl has her own page and a page of stats at the end.

I am posting them on the web so that I don't contaminate any other developers, but if you can't see my pages, let me know.

Praise is nice, but constructive criticism is more useful.

Thanks!

UPDATES

I'll be a bit slow on updating my site.
My computer is in the shop and the hard drive with all my web files is sitting on my desk.

I have updated my Fan Fic section with some more W/T stories. You can find it at http://www.xtreme-gaming.com/~theotherside/fiction.php

I am going to also add Natalie Moss' "Nightmares of a Thousand Forms" the W/T Cthulhu crossover as soon as I can.

Also, fans of my own fic "Queen of Light". You are in luck! I'll be putting it up on my site as well for you all to read. Things will get stranger.

Just go to my main page, http://www.xtreme-gaming.com/~theotherside/ for any details.

Thanks!
