"Are you sure?" whispered Tara with a slight tone of concern in her voice. Willow, with her eyes closed due to her nerves, nodded uncertainly. She didn’t want to really, but felt she had to otherwise she would be judged. And so she followed Tara's instructions carefully, word for word, not wanting to do a single thing wrong. She inserted two fingers but was unsure of what to do with her thumb, but Tara showed her. It felt weird as she grasped it with her free hand, so rounded and smooth, not like she had imagined. Guided by Tara's hands, Willow pulled her arm back, then thrust it forward with sheer force – well, all the force she could muster anyway. Her fingers slipped out, and they both waited, listening intently for any sign... but none came. Slowly Willow opened her eyes and looked down. She could see the rift where it was meant to go, but nothing was there. Disappointment filled her as she realised she had done it wrong again. Despite the fact this was her first time ever, she just knew that bowling just wasn’t the game for her.
