Hmmmmm...Verrrrrrrrry Interesting. Giles and Buffy are tied up with Amy, leaving Willow and Tara all alone without much backup at the house. Uh oh... (grin)The ominous music is swelling.Still loving this story, Lisa. We've already established that your writing skills are superior, but I want to especially compliment you on your characterizations. On top of the always wonderful Willow and Tara scenes, I have to tell you how much I am loving Buffy being so supportive of Tara in this piece. Willow too, but especially Tara. I have missed supportive friend Buffy terribly this season, and I have always wanted Buffy and Tara to be good friends, apart from Willow. While we know Tara is a now a full fledged scooby based on the events in 'Family' and also her participation in scooby activities, on the show we still haven't really seen that much affection for Tara by the other scoobies. What a gift it has been to me, to the characters, and I'm sure many other fans to be able to tune into a Buffy world where everyone really is family. I got a little veklempt when Xander and Anya went so ballistic over the scene with the FIRST OBGYN, and also all the scenes with Buffy going out of her way to make sure Tara is safe, not out of obligation to Willow, but because she CLEARLY loves Tara. I need those characters to love each other right now, almost as much as they need it themselves. *grin*
Anyway, your story is compelling, and it has me laughing out loud (cletus the fetus, peas for breakfast, night cravings, lesbears ect.) and crying...the scene where they echo the "I am you know..." was amazing. That has always been one of my favorite scenes between them. I am so happy that in someone's universe they are slowly and realistically working things out. Oh, also, I like not-so-perfect Tara. I like perfect Tara also, but sometimes I think she is so dreamy and idealized that she ceases to be real. I'm glad she is pregnant and moody, I'm glad she isn't always making the right decisions. She's human, and we can and should love her even when she fucks up, much like Willow. The whole sex issue also restored a little of the balance of power between them; this way it doesn't have to be that Willow is like scary Brave New World repenter all the time. *grin* Now they can both build each other back up together. *Sigh* I could go on and on...
But I won't. *grin* I just wanted to send big compliments your way because I think you're doing a lovely job and I like to tell people when things about them are good. Finally, please don't feel obligated to reply to this post. I've been so impressed that you make a point to comment on every single bit of feedback you get...that's very commendable, but also exhausting! I know from posting my writing in other genres that just getting it written and posting it on a schedule of deadlines is hard work, let alone having the energy when you're done to give back to all the wonderful people who support you. You're a fiction goddess. Revel in it. Accept the love. Don't reply, just drink this one up....
And keep posting chapters!!!! *grin*
