sassette,

methinks you only want to read the part with the goddess's intervention is requested.

Good evening everyone.
I don't have a chapter tonight. I wanted to answer all the sweet comments and just didn't have time to do both.

I'm in class tomorrow (yes Saturday...LOL) from 9-4, so any update will be extremely late. Thanks for your patience.

And I admire that you've stuck by your original story, no matter how sad and dark it became...

I really am glad to hear you had this reaction. Writing this angst is draining, and if you feel that way when I am done, I did it right. I had the entire story plotted, and it's been difficult to stick to my guns with the sad stuff.

"Oh Deusa de acima e abaixo, óraculo de toda a verdade, esta criança foi erradamente tomada. Retorna-a, retorna-a, retorna-a para quem a ama acima de tudo. Ela é minha vida, retorna-a."

First off, I want to appologize for falling behind on this story. I started massage school this week and it has become very draining and time-consuming. However, if you ever need any stress or tension relief as incentive to continue providing us with these wonderful stories, I'm your gal!

The last four chapters took me right out of my skin. In a good way, of course. I think I was walking that fine line that exists between where words are transformed into images in our minds, and I felt completely helpless as I watched each scene play out. That takes skill...or a lot of very illegal drugs...which I haven't done recently so I'll just go with skill. *grin*

I especially enjoyed the child-spirit limbo. I had to fumble for a box of kleenex when Willow was inspecting Brianna'a features in the meadow. *deep sigh* Alright, I'm going to leave it at that for now, cause I think my ass has fused with the fibers of my chair.

You bless us with every word Lisa, thank you.

Ok, I know I post this like everytime you post a new story Lisa, but boy, does this ever rule.
I must say I had something of the lumpy variety taking residence in my throat reading these last chapters. Your 'character voices' are getting better and better, well I think your Anya's always been perfect.*g*
Like many others I think, one thing I love about your writing is that yes, this is a Will/Tara story and it's powerful, and beautiful, but it doesn't mean that the Scoobs are neglected, they all have their part.

Well, let's stop here or we'll enter crazed fangirl territory.*g*

Hugs to your sis, a couple of'em for you, and also - how much do I not like Amy ? ( just goes to show how well you get her...*g*) Done with the tangent, can't wait for the big resolution, thanks so much for this.

I had a thought. Will and tara having a kid is great but what are they going to tell their parents? Okay, so tara's mom knows, but what about her dad, and what about ira and sheila rosenberg? All do not even know about their daughters other half (though i get the impression Mr MacLay got some heavy hints, and what did he REALLY mean by, "You don't even try to hid it anymore,"?). I doubt wills going to go, "Hey mom, dad, this is tara, my lesbian, gay type lover whose having my kid." You can just here mrs Rosenber, "Oh, WIllow..."

My guess is that Willow is out to her parents by now. Even if they haven't met Tara, she's likely told them she's gay.

I don't think Tara's family deserves to be a part of her life, especially for the hell they put her (and, clearly, her Mom) through. Her dad's comments about "not hiding it" were in response to the uber-wiccaness of her room, as if her magic is something to hide away and be fearful of.

I'd still like to see the response from Willow's parents when they ask who the father is...

Well, the whole wicca=lesbian metaphor was still going a bit then, so they may have been digging at it.

I'll try to find the interview but Joss did say he was doing a metaphor. He mentioned it was difficult doing a metaphor about lesbianism like that since the character is clearly out.

Found it! It's from ign.scifi.

"And ultimately, what was interesting about that show [is that] we played the entire show as about being gay -- it was very strange to play a gay metaphor about somebody who's openly gay! It was interesting to work it on the metaphorical level, but it became less preachy that way. And more open to other interpretations."

Howdy once more!

I continue to adore your story, Lisa. Your writing strikes a deep chord within all who read it, or at least, within me. I'd say all based on the other's responses, though. You have a wonderful ability to draw the reader in and make us believe that the characters are real. Beautiful, simply beautiful. It's enough for me to forgive you for being so darned evil

Oh yeah.. ummm, just wanted to say I think it's awesome the way you take the time to reply to everyone who posts a comment. It's such a nice warm fuzzy to see it, it shows that one's comment is valued and read and all that good stuff. So thank you for the warm fuzzies, the story, and for sharing both with us. It's at a point where I'm sorry it has to end because that means I won't be able to look forward to the new chapter(s) each day.

So, to conclude? You rock! *nods sagely, thinking I need to use a more creative phrase than that*

I'm new here and slow to catch up (came in when you were up to chapter 18 - so I had a lot of back-reading to do)!

Have to admit that I wasn't sure about Willow and Tara at first - nothing to do with Tara or the lesbian side of things - more because I've been a fan of BtVS so long and loved Oz's character. I also think that they are only now starting to scratch the surface of Tara's character, which has been frustrating. Joss doesn't seem to have characters with no purpose, and there were plenty of hints about how intuitive etc Tara is, and now things are really starting to become clear. I think that the love Willow and Tara share is wonderful, and shows total devotion and being in synch with one another (except this last little while - but things will get back to normal soon - I hope)! :-)

Your book is amazing! No other word for it. I'm hooked and I'm finding it hard to keep in mind that it's NOT part of S6!!!!! Wouldn't be surprised to see YOU'RE name on the credits soon!!!

Can't wait for the next installment!

This story is so wonderful, I actually don't mind waiting. Keep up the good work, Lisa!

The link Xita posted above to IGN reminded me of how much I miss Sarah Kuhn's wonderful column. That was the only reason I ever visited that site, along with about half of the rest of their traffic. What were they thinking??? I did notice that Drakan, one of the few action type games I ever bought is being re-released on PS2. I don't know what that'll be like, but the original was actually less sexist than Tomb Raider, plus you got to fly around on a dragon and fry monsters with fireballs- good fun, reminded me of many pleasant hours spent on Pern.

Reading Joss' thoughts about Tara and Family once again brought up the whole Tara's history quandry and made me wish I could ask him how Tara's mom died. I've spent WAY too much time thinking about this. Almost makes me wish they'd stuck with the woodsprite idea. I keep hoping we'll get some more background. I love what Lisa's done in this story, though, with the passed-on knowledge. Too bad Tara's mom didn't have a Willow of her own.

You're just too much of a giver, Lise. Thanks!

As ever, the patented cliffhanger. I trust Tara 'giving herself' to Rack will be far more than he can handle? quote:

*Gulp* She's astrally projecting, she's a mage, something bad will happen and the gang doesn't know what she's doing!!!

Okay, breathe. Recite the thread mantra: Trust in Lisa, Lisa loves Tara, Willow, and the kitties.

Lol at the Dr. Suess line, and hell yes Amy, karma does suck!

Oh awesome Lisa, so how many more parts are you planning, you've gone over the initial estimate, and oh I am not complaining

One small quibble, if you are setting this in the current time, Tara has turned 21 so is much older than 19.

And a massive woo hoo for karma, let's here it kitties

Thanks for the update Lisa and take care to get some sleep, as much as it pains me too say it we can wait for the next chapter.

Ack!! *note to self: when Lisa says cliffhanger, she means CLIFFHANGER!!*

I'm eager to read the next chapter, but make sure you don't over tire yourself. Sleep is essential.

That's so sweet of Anya... not wanting Cletus to be cold and all that! Yeah, I imagine she'd be thinking of that. Great update, Lisa.

Lisa,

There are so many good things about this chapter! I think in terms of style it's my favorite so far. Your use of small details to add depth to the character's is excellent; I especially liked what you did with Anya. I look forward to reading the rest.

"Willow faltered. Her body ached to rip Rack’s heart out of his chest, but her own heart had to heed Tara’s siren call. She went to the bed and took Tara’s hand."

Wow Lisa! Tara's siren call! My heart sped up here. These 3 lines sum it all up for me. True love here!

How I loved Willow misunderstanding the How and When question that Buffy asked her! hehe

Anya, man, those scenes are so emotional. That woman has some deep feelings.

Please let Tara come back safe and sound. They have a future to plan you know! Thank you!

You are so sweet considering us kittens and not wanting to leave us on this amazing cliffhanger for too long. Thanks again! But please do get some great sleep. There is a Full Moon on Monday and we all need extra rest! Take care,

kris
