Loved this installment. The thought of little Willow in her footie jammies is just too cute. Guess I have been hanging out with too many toddlers.

Loved the dream sequence, found myself trying to 'solve' Willow's crossword for her too as you described it.

Looking forward to a time where Willow and Tara can live in peace in their tree protected home with no weasels in the yard!

sass- another great installment!

loved how willow tries to mathmaticize (new word of the day) the crossword puzzel. i think like that too. the only way that i can understand languages is to associate more math-like patterns to it.

oh! i'm excited. i qualify to be a smitten. but i'm sorry you all won't see me in a cheerleading skirt. i would not want to mentally scar anyone.

Postby Sassette » Fri Mar 22, 2002 3:52 pm

**bulldog_tidnab: Heh ... I'll try to put a "Brain-Teasing Head-Bashing Warning" on the next one that's like this. Ummm ... if there IS a next one like this. Which there might be. Or not.

**GreenNeutron: Heh ... the faery tale thing seemed like a good idea at the time *shrug* Dreams are all funky like that.

**Pixie: I was >extremely< close to including the guy with the cheese ... but decided against it. But yeah ... there's actually lots of clues in there - some are right, though, and some are wrong - because this was Willow's brain's way of organizing the data they had available to them at this time. She might be missing some stuff, y'know. Heh Heh Heh ... but I'm guessing you're right about the 15-letter-word ending with an 'L'. Handy little thing, ain't it? *G* And can I grant you extra Smitten Points for the use of "... it makes an ass out of you and Xander." Good job!

**Willowfan: Heh ... she's pretty much digesting the magickal equivalent of crack right now. That's gotta' be doin' strange stuff to her head.

**W.I.: Oh, wow. *blink blink* Thank you *huge blush* But, no, I don't think I'll be at the Chicago Bardcon ... that's coming up kinda' soon, isn't it? I just did the NYC thing, so I'm a little tuckered out, low on funds, and am saving some of my vacation time for a rainy day.

**Owl: Thanks *G* I had an unusually good time writing that update, because it was just so darn weird. I don't know why - it just kind of tickled me. I hope you had fun with the crossword puzzle. Maybe I'll actually write on up and post it somewhere so all you Smittens can play along *evil cackling* And what's really amusing me, is that if I did, you all would.

**jomarch: Glad you liked it ... Between the clues and the distractions, I'm just kind of ... laughing at the whole thing, really. I don't know why, but that update is giving me the Evil Giggles. Probably because I know exactly what's being foreshadowed *G*

**Yuri: I was kind of going for the sort of "Don't 'do' ... 'be'" eastern philosophy sort of thing. I feel, in the realm of the whole BuffyVerse Magick Stuff (at least, my version of it) that there's a difference between casting a spell and letting raw magick flow through you and let it take what form it will. The floating thing is the latter ... and I'll think I'll stop explaining this now, because it would take too long. Hopefully, it will make sense in the body of the fic as I continue to write.

**delany: Sorry to scare you. Perhaps I should just forget about the Trickster thing and go back to hugs and kittens? Heh - Nah.

**Mini-ALF: Yeah, I really liked that book, but it's been so long since I read it, I should probably read it again. I'd get more out of it. But yeah - Xander's a sweet guy, and very wise in his own special Xander-way, but he's not book-smart ... this book would hurt his poor little head.

**Web Warlock: Heh ... I love footy pajamas. I wish they made them in my size. LOL ... I'm going to have to actual make this crossword puzzle for you guys, aren't I? But yeah - I'm going for a weasel-free yard ... that's my ultimate goal here. Of course, when the yard is weasel-free, it might have more time to do other stuff. Bad Weasel.

**Bag O'Bones: I firmly believe Willow's brain is an OLAP server. On acid. Cheerleading skirt is optional, BTW ... the pom-poms, however, are mandatory.

**Puff: Heh ... I didn't understand it, either, so don't worry Have fun with the history essay, and try not to put anything in there about the French kicking out the weasel and planting trees.

See, that's one of the things I love about this board - you learn all sorts of new things every day. Web Warlock made me look up Cthulhu and now you've made me look up OLAP servers. So much learning bang for the buck. Oh, and your fic is really nice, too.

I think more correctly Williow is atleast a self programing OLAP server with a big data warehouse attached on acid, but that still does not cover original thought...maybe she is just willow :-p. (Though I had to go running for Google to find out what one is too...)

Mea culpa! Mea Maxima Culpa!

I'm sorry there's been no update ... I've been a little under the weather, and my older sister's birthday was this weekend and my little sister was in town, so I had family stuff to go do.

I will have an update when I get home from work, but, hey - I just got here, so probably 10-12 hours from when I post this.

**W.I.: Heh ... I appreciate the offer of crash-space ... 'cuz that's always cool.

**Mufin: You Rock My World. Though the adult baby thing was disturbing.

**Scout: *G* And I feel like I have achieved something ... if I can make people run off to google or dictionary.com ... well, that's a damn flattering thing. I hope you found a good explanation of an OLAP server, because lots of descriptions are about as clear as mud.

**Yuri: Oh, yeah, the data warehouse goes without saying. And her data mining modules are MOST impressive. And yes - you, floating rose ... kinda' wrong

**katydid: Heh ... thank you. I certainly didn't mean to get into an epic-thingy ... it just sorta happened. But yeah, it's gonna be a long one.

**W.I.: ROFL! Oh My Heck. That certainly brightened up my morning.

**Pixie: More spoilers, fake updates, cheers, pyramids ... all of these bring joy and light to my otherwise dull and bleak existence. So - go nuts *G*

**Willow_wtch: Now THAT is a cool little smiley whatever kind of thing. Love the pom-poms *G*

**Scout: Heh, sorry ... and yeah, my trip DID wear me out ... Good Golly is my sleep schedule whacked right now.

**W.I.: Sorry to have to tell you this, but I already claimed Tara's panties as my own. And, ummm ... in any other context that would sound incredibly crazy-freaky-insane. Here, it just kinda' sounds weird.

**Pixie: Nope - it was me. BWAHAHAHHAHAAAAA!

**Mufin: First cheerleading outfits, and now catholic school girl uniforms ... ? *gulp* I like it when ... I stop explaining things.

**nika: Yeah, those had me ROLLING ... but thank you - it's good to be back, and I shall try to update in a timely fashion when I arrive home from work tonight.

**Puff: I am SO sorry! Ummm ... you could re-read this, or someone else's ... or, uhhh ... write a fake spoiler/update/cheer/long-winded-post about the mystical properties of cheerleader panties. *sigh* No, huh? Again - I'm sorry ... I feel as though I have let you down by not assisting with your procrastination. But you won't finish it tonight, will you? I mean, I still have time to write an update and get you off-task, right?

I'm feeling much better, thank you. *G*

As for the whole "why don't you have kids yet?" issue ... here are a few suggestions:

1) Buy a fish. Don't get emotionally attached. Feed it for two weeks. When it dies, you can now say, "But Mom - I can't keep a >fish< alive ... and you want me to have kids? I'm just not ready yet."
2) This also works with plants.
3) And puppies.
4) Or baby-sitting.

Second ... what to do, what to do? Sass-Fic a-comin', but too damn slow ... whatever shall I do?

1) Smack your troll around (in the fun "he likes it" way) and put up more of The Late Shift *G*
