I love 'em and I will post 'em. Please add yours here too. I will also be posting some that I have borrowed (with full credit).

I borrowed this cause I thought it was cute

(My thanks to one of my fav Haiku sites:
English-Language Haiku On the Web)

--------------------------------------------
These are mine

Tara:
mindless unknowing
vision of unseen life force
she is her always

Willow:
love a-new prevails
an oath taken in loves heart
protector take care

quiet moon a-glow
resting above misty glen
the night is calling

depth of soul's fire
passion ignited within
scent of a new love

(Black sand beaches of West Auckland: )
sand, black grit, too hot
hooves of warrior women
memories of rage

[This may not be what it sounds like: ]
why did I do it
regrets are a biiter pill
never again stray

[This is what it sounds like: ]
Attraction, who knew
eye contact, sideways glances
is she a sistah

ok, trying to figure out how to write the little sneezes. 5-7-5, right? and they have to make no sense as well, correct? or, what are the rules exactly?

Rane the basic rules are simple:
5,7,5 is correct
you write from the gut. First impressions, lasting impressions, observations, that sort of thing. They can be in sentence form or random words. What's most important is that it means something to you.

I will disect my Tara and Willow haikus.

Tara:
mindless unknowing -- (Tara's mind was stolen)
vision of unseen life force -- (she could see Dawn's true self when no one else could)
she is her always -- (this is how Willow described Tara)

Willow:
love a-new prevails -- (there love is still fairly new and it pervails against Tara mindlessness)
an oath taken in loves heart -- (Willow vowed to take care of Tara no matter what showing how much love she has for Tara)
protector take care -- (Willow has taken on the role of Tara's protector, but Glory is a formidable foe. Willow needs to take care of herself as well)

I've dug up an old thread because, well, because I thought up a Haiku and didn't want to be startin' any of them there repeat threads! Wow, that sure sounds poetic Sarah, anyway, I'm getting off topic. I came up with a Willow/Tara *sneeze* (oh bless me) while reading other poems and prose on the fantastic board!!! It takes place after Wrecked (possible spoilers!!) and it can be from either Willow POV or Tara's, you pick so here we go:

Laying here, silent
I wonder what went wrong
Without her I'm hushed

a haiku trilogy:

the french resistance
liberated MKF
black and white and loved

joss's metaphors
where spells defy the WB
and define deep love

skirts boots and sweaters
red and orange and purple
clash pussycats clash!

anyway, not meant to be art (do i even need to say that), just for topical fun

I forgot all about this thread.

I am watching the episode where Glory sucks out Tara brain. Buffy mentions to her prof that she might have time for short poetry like that poetry that sounds like a sneeze. I come here and here it is.
