new Fic: Reward and Reprisal

Hi all,
I've been reading both the kitten board and the pens and they have been keeping me sane through these trying Tara/Willow times. I lurk, but the kittens have kept me strong.

I've finished my latest W/T novel called REWARD AND REPRISAL. It's a sequel to RETRIBUTION AND REWARD My site isn't updated yet, but here are the URLs of all parts.

you save them on your hard-drive? WOW! That is such a compliment that you would use valuable space for my stuff. Now I have to think about writing "disc-worthy" fic. Oh, the pressure!

As for new fiction? I think I may stop writing fan fic, but I am kicking around a W/T novel right now... but it is VERY dark. Now might not be the time for that. *G*

It's so great to know which parts of a story someone likes. I have fun coming up with the quirks I give characters, and I am sure Jenny would not want republican parents.

As for the length? I am SO not a short story writer. I am working on a "short" piece about what happens after Tabula Rasa, and it's 121 pages long right now, and only one third finished. Now if real life stuff would slow down, I could finish it.

I'm pretty sure, she wouldn't..I forgot to mention two other things I loved about this length...first of all, bringing Jenny back..I loved her! Jenny/Giles gave me almost as fuzzy and warm feelings as Willow/Tara. Great to see her back in this fic and how she always interrupted the most intimate moments *lol*.

Second, Anya and Jenny..flannel-boots-conversation. I cracked. I almost sobbed. These two together..a special kind of soulmates! That was hilarious...

Looking forward to the bit about the aftermaths of "Tabula Rasa". And I definitely don't mind long, excellent fics.

Aladdin,
I thought it was time for some Jenny/Giles closure. It broke my heart the way things ended on the show. And, isn't that what fan fic is all about? Seeing the happy endings we want?

As for Anya & Jenny, I think they would have been total buddies. Although Giles might may survived.

The Post TR piece way darker than anything I've done before, and there is a Tara/ NOT-Willow and some Willow/ NOT Taras, so it's been hard to write. I'll post it when it's done. Maybe I can wrote during Turkeyday break!

My fics are very long. Heck, 'Tears of the Goddess' could have been a novel trilogy but I reined myself in and kept it down to several hundred pages. It's good to know y'all like the long stuff. When I took a short fiction class... dear goddess.. I was in HELL! I ended up kinda' cheating... I wrote short stories (15+ pages) and had them all linked... like a novel in bits. Didn't fool the prof. She saw right through my evil plot.

I am so glad you liked the Tara backstory! She mentioned wanting to take Willow horseback riding in that haunted/possessed frat house episode and my mind has been plotting fan fic ever since. BTW, the horse 'Trance' is based on a very sweet horse I know. As for Tara being an expert rider, I think she would be. She is so gentle hearted and kind, horses would adore her as much as kittens do.

Aladdin,
I'm not sure what the problem is. :-( When I load the pages, they come up fine, but you're are not the first person to have problems. It might be that the page was cut off during download and was saved in your cache incomplete. You might try emptying your cache and trying again.
I will upload all the Willow/Tara pages again and see if that helps.

Does anyone have any advice? Are the pages too large? Any help would be appreciated.

As for my new fiction, I have two in the works. (So much for quitting fan fiction.)

I will post when I finish them.

Thanks for sharing this (and I'm sure you will enjoy further feedback) and for giving me and others so many hours of great reading and tons of laughs. It takes me twice the time to read it because English is my second language, but this is wonderful considering that I can enjoy it even longer like that.
