W/T FF in Palm OS Format

Postby Kiwiccan » Wed Dec 26, 2001 9:08 pm

I was wondering if anyone knew of a site that housed W/T stories translated into palm pilot OS format? I know of a site that does this for Xena stories but not W/T. If not, does anyone know how to do this?

I just got an M505 for Xmas and the only reason I wanted it was to read stories on-the-go. Now I have to find W/T stories...or do it myself.

If you go to the following URL, you can convert any (ok, almost any) web page into Palm DOC format.
http://pilot.screwdriver.net

The converter tends to screw up on complicated web pages, but since we're talking fan fic and that's usually just text, I've found this site to be incredibly handy.

Kalrn, You are wonderful, thank you.

Cyber hugs.

Oh can this convert regular files as well? I have some web pages saved just as html they are no longer linked to a URL.

It needs the URL to be input, so it would have to be already online. You could temporarily upload the files to some web space, enter the URL, then delete them...

Ooh, I'm glad I'm not the only freak who carries fic around in her palm pilot!

I use a program called PalmDocs that works with Microsoft word 97/2000. When you install it, it just puts a little menu bar in Word so you can copy and paste your fic or whatever else over and click the button and save it in palm format.

I also use CSpot Run to read the files on my palm. It has nice autoscrolling features (although it moves too slow for me) and bookmarking and stuff.
