A Poem by Pixie

Postby Pixie-Muso » Fri Jan 04, 2002 8:47 pm

I just wrote this while thinking about Tara sitting in her room at the end of "New Moon Rising". I think the courage and the selflessness she displays in this episode is so admirable and just shows how much of a wonderful person she really is. I’d be ever so grateful for any feedback – but please be gentle . Keep in mind, I’m not really a poet! Thanx.

Deep in the night I sit and wait.
I wait for the call,
That feeling I only get from you.
Will you come? Will you be here?
How long will I wait?
Will it be forever?

Deep in the dark I feel so lonesome
Knowing that you’re out there.
Hoping that you’re happy.
Praying that you’re safe.
Wishing that my heart and presence
Will draw you near.

Deep in the shadows, alone in my thoughts
I feel you draw near.
No longer shall the moon be my only friend,
The stars no longer my light.
But you,
Only you.

Like I always say, I'm picky about poetry so there's not an awful lot I like, heh. But this I did. I like the repetition of the imagery at the beginning of each stanza. Well structured.

Wonderful Pixie. The emotion, the imagery, the hope...it reflects how I picture Tara's thoughts at that time, very well. Keep up the great work.

I am always in awe of anyone who can write poetry. I like this one because it paints an image of Tara in my mind and I feel for her. Thank you.

Awww... thanks for all the encouragement Kitties! It really means alot to me. OK, well, I'll try and get into a poetic mood more often - usually when I do, I write song lyrics and getting chord together and stuff, but hey! This could work.

Thanx again.

Hey Baby, you mentioned your poem at the Kitten, so I thought I'd come and find it.

It's beautiful, and I like it a lot. It's very..... Tara-ish. I think it's touching and sweet, and if I say anything else, I'll embarrass myself. ;p
