A Winter's Night

Hello, this is my second fic so I hope you all enjoy this. I will apologize now for any spelling errors and grammar mistakes. Any type of feedback would be great

Setting: In season six after they broke up
Spoilers: none that I can think of
Summary: Willow ends up in the hospital and that brings her and Tara closer together.

It was a cold winter's night when Willow was rushed to the emergancy room. Buffy and the whole gang rushed in behind the EMTs.

"What happened to your friend?" asked the head doctor

"We're not entirely sure." Xander replied

"We were all eating supper and then...." cried Buffy

"And then she just passed out." Anya added

The doctor thanked them for the information and walked back to where Willow was. The gang stood in the hall watching the nurses work on their friend. About 10 minutes later the doctor came back out and gave them good news.

"Your friend is going to be just fine, she just needs rest." explained the doctor

"Well, what caused her to pass out?" Dawn asked

"She hasn't been eating enough and she isn't getting the proper amounts of vitamins she needs. Basically she has been starving herself."

Thank-you doctor, may we go in and see her now?" asked Xander

"Yes but briefly."

Before they went into see Willow, Buffy decided that someone had to call Tara and let her know what was going on. Even if she and Willow were not together anymore Buffy thought she should know. Dawn offered to call Tara

"Hello, Tara speaking."

"Tara, it's Dawn."

"Dawn? What's the matter, you sound upset."

"Ummmm, Willow is in the hospital."

"What?"

"The doctor daid....listen I don't want to get into all the details on the phone. Come to the hospital and I'll fill you in please."

"I'll be right there." replied Tara

About 20 minutes later Tara was sitting by Willow in the hospital room. Willow was still asleep from the drugs she was given earlier.

"Can you hear me Will?" Tara asked "If you can I just wanted to tell you that I forgive you for your past mistakes and to say that you can't leave me."

Tara took Willow's hand in hers and placed a light kiss on the redheads forehead. Willow began to stir, and when she opened her eyes she saw the most beautiful sight ever. Looking up, Willow was met with bleu eyes and a beautiful face.

"Hey."

"Hi, sleeping beauty." Tara whispered

"How long have I been asleep?" "Wait, how long have you been here?"

"I've been here for about and hour."

"How...."

"Don't talk, you need your rest. I'll come back tomorrow."

With that said, Tara leaned over to place a kiss on Willow's cheek. At that exact moment Willow turned her head towards Tara and lips met lips.

"Ummm, I-I better go and let you get some rest. I'll come back tomorrow morning."

"O.K, Tara?"

"Yeah?"

"About what just happened..."

"We'll talk about it tomorrow."

and for some reason, the thought that willow would stop eating after tara left always came to my mind. i don't know why, it just seems, for some odd reason, like something she would do.

The next day....

Willow woke up when a beam of sunlight passed through a tiny crack in the shades covering the window in her hospital room. She opened her eyes hoping to see Tara's beautiful face, but instead she saw the nurse carrying in a tray of food.

"Here you go Miss Rosenberg." the nurse said as she placed the food on a table and wheeled it over to Willow

"Thank-you, but please call me Willow." she said with a smile

"I'll call you Willow only if you eat some breakfast."

"Ok, I'll eat my food."

THe nurse smiled at Willow and turned to leave. "I'll see you later Willow." A couple of minutes after the nurse left Tara walked into the room with a dozen of Willow's favorite flowers in her hand.

"Hey there, did you sleep well?" asked Tara as she handed Willow the flowers

"Yes, the best sleep I've had in a long time." Willow said as she inhailed the scent of the flowers. "Thanks for the flowers, I love them."

"You're welcome, I'm glad you like them." she said with a smile. "About last night, I'm sorry..."

"Why are you sorry, I don't think there's anything to be sorry about."

"T-the kiss, I-I didn't mean to. I..." Tara said as she fiddled with her fingers nervously.

"I'm not, I liked it, I've missed your lips and your touch." Willow said as she gently took Tara's hand in hers.

"I've missed your touch too Will." "But I don't think one kiss can solve our problems.

"Oh." Willow said disappointedly

"I-I mean we still have some stuff to talk about."

"Well I get released today. do you want to go some place and talk?"

"I'd like that, we could go to back to my place so we c-could have some p-privacy. That's only i-if you want to." Tara said nervously

"I'd love to see your new place." Willow replied with a half smile of her face.

Will and Tara left the hospital half and hour later. They stopped off to see Buffy, Xander and Anya before going to Tara's place. Willow talk with her friends for almost and hour and explained what happened to her.

I'm still working on the ending. I should have it done by tomorrow sometime, well I'm hoping I'll have it done. I hope you enjoyed this part
