Well, I haven't finished the latest chapter yet, but I just had to say that I laughed my ass off during the chicken scene. I had to get out my chair and go after my butt, cause I just laughed it right off! I'll edit with more opinions after I finish reading. Thanks again Lisa!

Okay, actually I edited twice, but once because I can't spell. grr. Anyway, the Dawnieand Buffy scene when they were washing dishes was very sweet. And the last W/T scene in this chapter, also very sweet. Loved Willow's line "every time I touch you, my heart fills" Sigh. Just what the doctr ordered. You have a gift, Lisa.

Great update, Lisa!! Couldn't have come at a better time. I can't wait to see that Keeper get her butt handed to her. And good job at dealing with the whole Buffy thing. It was getting a little scary.

What a lovely update!! It's one of the best, and it comes right on time...I'm a little concerned though. This Keeper, she is not stronger than Tara,the Scoobies and the two doctors together is she?

And I really liked the scene with Buffy and Tara...Tara is Willows girl, and I'm glad you stated that!!

I don't know how you are able to write in these times, but I'm sure glad you do...it gives me much joy, I think you are my new light in the end of the tunnel. Thank you!

I'm so glad you're liking where this is going. I had fun writing smack down Tara. I don't think the scene would have worked if Tara had been all hugs and puppies.

As for Keeper, well, she's isn't so much power in general as she is a controler. Plus, she IS her job. She doesn't even get to retain her own name. Well, that's a big enough clue as to her power. She's gonna' pull something very nasty... hehehehe. (Sorry... I love vauge spoilers, and not even our sweet spoiler hounds can get into my hard drive. )

Thank you one and all for replying. I've been feeling ill in RL as well as in other -unnamed ways. Your comments have helped me so much and I just wanted to thank you sincerely.

I feel like I am at the bottom of a fluffy ball of kitten love.

So Keeper is kinda like the Council's Watchers then? She's a scary sort!

Agree that Tara had to be aggressive when confronting Buffy, but did feel a tad sorry for the Buffster - after all, Tara is just so darn lovable!

great update.. one thing though.. i dunno why i'm the only one who found it hard to read tara as she was yelling at buffy. dosen't seem to me that tara would react with such force,cos it wasn't buffy's fault really..and its not like it was buffy who jumped at the chance to share emotions and all that.. just took me by surprise, thats all.
not saying that i didn't like the update, cos i'm lovin every minute, just that particular bit took me by surprise..

oh and the rubber glove.. loveitloveitloveit.

I don't post a lot (prone to lurkage) but I'm always here and am a big fan of yours - have been for a while now, used to be a J/7 shipper too.

It occurs to me that I probably spend too much time reading and not enough time contributing, so thought I'd make a start with this...

Yeah I thought Tara was a bit large with the butch in this last chapter too. But here is how I see it.
She is being chased by a bunch of evil witches.
She has this out of control power that threatens everyone she loves.
And she still has to face the 19 swordswomen of Brigit.
I'd say she is a bit stressed.

Now let's hope she redirects that stress to kicking some major witch ass. Basically when it comes to the council, I want Tara to make what she did to Rack look like a mercy killing.

Of course there is the one well known source of stress relief, Willowhand.

I was a litte surprised with Tara's attitude too, but then I thought that this was the best way for her to deal with this situation. If she was all nice and sweet, as lovely as she always is, it would be much harder for Buffy. It's all about that "oh, how can she be so nice and sweet after catching me checking her out? She's really the most special person in the universe." Tara had to make Buffy snap out of it, not make her drool even more over Tara's qualities.

Of course, add all the stress and the possibility of seeing Willow hurt to that and you have butch Tara in all her splendor. :-)

I kinda like her like that, you know. ;-)

I was truly thrown by Tara's reaction to Buffy's 'affections'. While it wasn't the reaction that I would have expected from her, it held true to the character growth you have shown in this story. Very intense and well-done. Yet another hurdle for our heroes to leap now that Keeper has arrived on the scene. I look forward to seeing what this new twist brings to their lives. And I have faith in you: no matter what the outcome, the manner in which these characters deal with these problems is a chance for learning and growing...I think that's one of the reasons this story has drawn so much attention. Not only do you write one hell of a plot, you give your characters a chance to develop and grow right before our very eyes. Can't wait to see what happens next.
