After a day prooving myself that I really am a total dork when it comes to network, I finally found a solution...

Did I already said I'm a dork ? Yes ? Ok. Just checking.

I put a file here. Guess you know the drill ? Right click "Save as", download all the parts and the joining programm in the same directory and lauch the programm.

Please, tell me it works... PLLEEEAAASE !

Soro, no slapping, I enjoyed your video very much. Your timing and pacing was excellent and the transitions were sooooo smooth you must tell me your secret. I would really like to know what video editing software you used.

ABF, if you get his permission, I have an easier to grab copy of the video. I converted into Real Media, so it only runs about 30MB.

First, let me thank you again for your patience and your perseverance and, now that I'm done hopping happily around the house, I can answer you !

I made the video with the trial version of Adobe Premiere 6.0, in one week, without having the slightest clue what a video was (good choice Traggic Prose !).

AutumnT, yes I did spent some time in it, but believe me, it was a labor of love ! Thank you.

AmberBensonFan, I'm very honored by your request. Feel free to do so. Do you need me to do something ? (did I mention that I was a dork when it came to network?)

Rally, I feel like a fraud giving YOU advice to make a video (I just love your Vamp Willow...) but since you want to know my secret... There's only one way to make smooth transitions : you have to run naked in a wheatfield, blindfolded, under a full moon, singing "Follow the yellow brick road !". Quite simple actually. Yep, only way...
More seriously, I don't know what programm you're using but with Premiere, it's pretty simple (duh, even "I" can do it!). You select the transition (I use mostly "fondu enchaîné", don't know the english word, something like "fade out/fade in"?) and you configure the lenght. Very simple.
And I love the possibility to put a "ghost" behind the principal video, like the picture of Tara sitting during the Thinkerbell scene. Don't know if it's a common feature, but I love it ! I understand that you made a Real file ? I tried too but Realplayer kept crashing when I launched the file... I'm starting to babble, down girl !

I am so NOT a video Wizard, but I made a lot (and I do mean a lot!) of trial and error so if I painfully learned something that could help any of you, I'd by happy to do so !

SoRo, I did indeed put it through Real Producer Pro. I have found it does the best job compressing the video to a reasonable size and helps improve the sound. I will email you wher e you can grab the file, so that way you can have it.

For video editing I have been using MGI Wave III, I got a copy when I bought my computer. But I think I have Premiere sitting on my harddrive so I will have to give that a try.
I also tried Ulead but didn't care for that at the time.

I just took a little stroll trough the presentation of MGI Wave III. I was lost. Premiere seems easier to me, more instinctive. And I haven't heard of any user turning back to another programm after trying it.

I'm not kidding, I had no background when I decided to do the video and it took me, the video dork herself, a week to put it together.

You should do miracles with it...
