Happy New Year, Kitties. :kiss

Spent most of yesterday evening curled up on the sofa watching goofy movies on TV with Jer. A couple we're close to came over around 10, after they had gotten off work (poor them!) to ring in 2003 with us, at which point we finally broke out the wine and, later, champagne. We had only slept a few hours the night before (for reasons which shall remain winked at) ;) , and wisely decided that we ought to postpone the New Year's liquid merriment as late as possible so as to not to pass out. Well... so I wouldn't pass out. She would have been just fine. Heh.

Hope everyone had a happy, safe holiday with plenty of :jho

Happy New Year, Kittens!:bounce

Today is GF's and my fifth anniversary. For New Year's Eve, we went to a low-key party, full of middle-aged lesbians whose serious partying days had been over for a long time. So, there was a lot of laughter and good conversation, but no one is going to wake up today with a hangover. The guests included the people who introduced GF and me, so that was nice. Unfortunately, due to our puppy's earlier naughtiness on the driver's seat of GF's car, I ended up supplying the wheels and acting as the designated driver. Bummer, 'cause the champagne was really good, and I could only have a little, tiny glass.

Anyway, here's hoping that 2003 is a happy, healthy, prosperous, peaceful New Year for all of the Kittens and their loved ones.

Midnight found me and my friends standing on the roof of an apartment in Boston shooting champagne all over the place and trying to see fireworks and freezing our booties off.

It was fun fun fun! :)

Happy 2003, kittens!

Happy New Year!!!

I just got back from watching the Tournament of Roses Parade, which goes by about three blocks from my apartment. Pics to follow, as soon as I get a chance to download them from my camera and sort through them.

:party Happy New Year :party

Hope everyone had a good time. It sounds as though most did.

I went to a party at my little sisters with more family and then got back to my house in time for the clocks to strike midnight. First new year in this house so it was nice :)

Happy New Year to all!

Patty and I had a quiet New Year's Eve, but that's not a bad thing. We went to see a movie with a friend in the early evening, then picked up some of our favorite wine and champagne and watched our new Singin' in the Rain 50th Anniversary DVD in bed. The dancing of Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor makes you dizzy after a couple of glasses of wine. We turned on Dick Clark 10 minutes before midnight and, after the ball had dropped, celebrated 2003 the best way we knew how. ;) A very lovely night indeed.

Happy New Year kittens!

I hope everyone had a great time. My girlfriend and I spent Hogmanay with my parents. I got to see some friends but mainly spent it with family. It was my first nw year with my girlfriend so it was extra special. Unfortunately, I didn't even get a tiny bit tipsy but you dn't need to be drunk to have a good time do you? Let's hope next year bodes as well.

Happy New Year!!! I'm wicked excited, I never thought it would ever be 2003, the year a graduate from high school...its such a weird feeling! Last night I hung out with a bunch of boys - watching the appropriate movies, Tomb Radier :) and American Pie 2 (Aly! :) ) And there were many kisses. It was fun. It's great to just hang out with a bunch of guys sometimes, and not be at an enormous party!

Have a wonderful 2003!

Call a doctor.

No wait. Call a priest.

I had a bloody excellent night out, despite not snogging anyone. There's something to be said for the healing power of alcohol.

Happy New Year to all the Kittens!

I spent New Years' Eve with my dad and some friends of ours. Almost froze my ass off watching the fireworks cause I didn't first take my coat with me and then had to "act manly" in front of the womenfolk and it was -22 C

After work, I went to see The Two Towers with a couple of wonderful friends, then I went home and did some packing for the trip that Im taking tomorrow. My sister and I had kind of a quiet celebration watching some old movies; then, after midnight, I talked to my girlfriend for while. All in all, not a bad evening.

And Michigan won the Outback Bowl today, 38-30 over Florida, so 2003 has started off on a very good note indeed!

Bowl games are funny... in Phoenix Sky Harbor airport today (I flew back to school), there were gaggles of Ohio State fans all decked out in their fan-like gear... the Fiesta Bowl's a madhouse! Anyway, spent my Jan. 1st on a plane-- hope the year gets better! :) :D

A very happy new years to everyone. I spent the day of new years eve on a bus coming home, but my girlfriend picked me up at the bus station, her car packed with tons of junk food and dinner and drinks. We drove to my house, where we proceeded to eat rice bowls, a good portion of junk food, a bottle of soda, and made love.....then passed out before midnight.

All in all...I was happy :grin :party :blush and I'm pretty sure Willow and Tara would have done the same exact thing

Stayed up late, watched my son try to stay up, but the little guy just couldn't do it.

Hope everyone is having a great New Year so far.
Those last week national ratings for Buffy have already made mine REALLY good! ;)

Two Towers ROCKS. Not happy with what they did to Fairamir's (sp. hey it's late...) character, but I can live with it.

Taking my boy to the library tomorrow. Thursday is always our special library day.

Okay, as promised, here are my pics from the Rose Parade today. Click on the Rose Parade logo below:

For the third year in a row, a college connected to my family somehow was playing in the Rose Bowl. This was the first year, however that the college connected to my family - Oklahoma - actually won the game. Last year it was Nebraska, and the year before it was Purdue, and they both lost.

What a good parent!

Our New Year's Day has been lazy, playing on the computer mostly, watching movies, napping and drinking a little wine.

Thumbs Up to the kittens who pulled Designated Driver duty! No better way to show your love than to keep people safe.

First time in several years (young children will do that to you) we actually went out on NYE - just to a friends' place. Barbecued dead animal, prawns, champagne, sparkling shiraz, arguing the merits (or lack thereof) of V-twin Hondas. I had a nap late evening but got woken up for midnite.
Willow and Tara have spent at least one New Year's Eve snowbound in a cheap motel room somewhere in the mid-West. By all acounts, they had a nice time of it.;)

And Tim...I hope the problem with Faramir in TT has nothing to do with David Wenham, because he's a particular favourite of mine.
