For 9 and 1/2 years of my life I lived in the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! I lived on a tiny tropical island called Kwajalien... every thing about it is beautiful, the beaches, sparkling clean sand, the ocean, blue and auqa depending on whether their was coral there or not, no pollution at all, and every single morning and every singel night. the sunsets and sunrises were enough to take anyones breath away! It's truly the most beautiful plave ever and I'm just glad to have been able to live there!

just a few examples...

but then, pictures can't really show the whole experience, y'know, it's more being there, and the smells, and the sound of the waves crashing...

The most beautiful sight I have ever seen ..... was a field of wildflowers growing in front of a glacier in the Swiss Alps. Seriously.

To get there: Fly (or drive if you're already in Europe) to Bern, the capital of Switzerland. From there, take a train to Interlaken, then take a bus to Lauterbrunnen, then take a cable car 1000 feet up the side of a mountain to a teeny tiny town called Gimmelwald. Then, hike up the side of the mountain for 1 1/2 hours until you reach the Kilchbalm glacier. The most beautiful place on earth. Miles away from civilization, surrounded by mountains and flowers and wildlife and a creek and ..... god it was gorgeous.

If heaven isn't what it's cracked up to be, send me back to Kilchbalm.

Mrs Vertigo, I can relate to your kid-phobia! I have that too. Scary little monsters, aren't they? I think we must be long-lost twins or something, 'cause every time you post something about yourself, I'm like "Hey, that's ME!"

Sorry 'bout answering this thread so late, but I was gone this weekend.
