Oh my..I remember the first of these threads, and for some reason I think the first movie we talked about was "Boys and Girls" with a whole 30 seconds of Aly.
The disctinction between good bad and bad bad is worth mentioning. I would say I film like "3000 miles" or "the wedding planner" is Bad bad. Without merit and dull..

For good bad, let me suggest "six string samurai" if you are dead set on seeing Wizard of Oz, Elvis movies, Karasawa and escape from new york tossed in a blender and set to *mystify audience*.

For something more toned down, I suggest sponge bob square pants in vast quanities..Esp the one where Patrick shaves off all sponge bobs his skin for holloween (yes, its a kids show).

Okay, I just watched quite possibly the WORST movie ever. It's Killer Klown From Outer Space. It's this cheezy sci-fi horrir thing and it's just rotten. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

October is bad movie month! LOL Of course, like Rally said, I am not a big horror fan, so that is understandable. Plus we still have to wait for the movies coming out like Santa Claus 2, Two Towers, Star Trek Nemisis, and Harry Potter. *sigh*

One movie that I loved that I encourage everyone to see is My Big Fat Greek Wedding.... it is one of those so bad it's good. Also, it is the little indie that could as it has now passed the Blair Witch movie in total earnings.

Recent bad movie? Riding in Cars with Boys and Snow Dogs. Snow Dogs had some cute parts in it, but overall, it was bad. Riding in Cars was billed as a comedy, well.... it's not! LOL.

Great topic, xita... :D

Have a great weekend ya'll!

Ha ha ha! I've seen Killer Clowns from Outer Space. It's one of those predictable, awful, really freaking funny in a way that it's not meant to be kind of horror flicks. Totally off the wall. And yeah, completely horrid in that chilly, mind-numbingly bad kind of way.

Ok, i've got one for all of you... "The Hitcher" :stop with Rutger Hauer. That is one of the most painfully stupid movies ever. I love Rutger Hauer but not in this movie. "Crossworlds" was really creative, i thought.

"Goonies" is a great movie. MST3K immortalizes the worst of all movies out there like "Prince of Space" or "Mitchell".

"Killer Klowns from Outer Space" is so creepy (i dont like clowns). "Starship Troopers" is bad but Denise Richards is a pleasure. :grin

Chiming in with Tank Girl love (hangs head in shame).

I dissagree with calling Tremors a bad movie. It should be called an exellent B movie. It's on USA all the time and I'm compelled to watch it whenever I'm channel surfing. Barberella belongs in this catagory also (Jane Fonda + skimpy plastic outfits :wink Whats not to love?)

My definition of so bad it's good is Grease 2 <'Let's do it for our country'>hehehe.

The last truly bad movie I watched was Super Troopers. The first ten minutes were hillarious, then it quickly devolved to nails scraping a chalk board.:stink

Also, If you've only seen American Pie, the sequal is definatly worth it. IMO it's funnier plus the most important thing, lots and lots of very cute Aly. The fake breakup scene is spit take worthy.

Well, I know I am a little late...but my pick for best bad movie to watch on a Friday night is.....Jane Fonda in Barbarella: Queen Of The Galaxy, the classic '60's SCI-FI flick with a little Jane Fonda nudity and really, really bad writing. Not to mention the funky music and REALLY BAD WARDROBE!!!! But it looked so darn good on Jane.

And I think Willow and Tara would definitely have enjoyed this one too!!!!

Also lots of gay/lesbian undertones...hmmmm...well, maybe not undertones...maybe just blatant tones!!

:eyebrow :grin

Edited for the full movie title and because I am now a Floating Rose...:)

But it's so much [b:e66e5d8ae5] fun[/b:e66e5d8ae5] watching the various expressions of the person who's seeing it for the first time. Springing this flick on your unsuspecting friends is always amusing. Yes, I'm evil. >: Really, Killer Klowns From Outer Space is so bad I'm pretty sure it was meant to be a high camp parody of horror films.

It's so weird that someone would mention Ginger Snaps on this thread the same night it's on HBO2. I caught the last half of it and was surprised by how good it was.

The worst movie I've seen recently would be The Red Dragon. No, I don't care if the critics liked it. It was hammily acted and badly directed. It didn't suffer from the goryness or pretentiousness of Hannibal, but it didn't come close to Silence of the Lambs. The characterization was thin, and when compared to the intensity of the novel, fell short. :yawn

Is that the one with Jennifer Jason Lee and she gets tied between two trucks and he is holding one of them on the clutch? Cause if it is then I agree that was a very bad bad movie.

I was just reading the posts and noticed we both posted about Barbarella at almost the same time. Just struck me as funny! Barbarella was the best worst movie I've seen. I wasn't sure if anyone else would recognize this one. I made my gf watch it a couple of weeks ago and we howled at "I'm not Pretty Pretty, my name is Barbarella!"

Ok, coming in here as a teenager, I'd have to say that the majority of the bad movies I've seen in the last couple of years have been those cheesy ones aimed at my age group. Some of them though are really the bad, but oh, so entertaining type. Examples: Coyote Ugly (gorgeous girls, including Piper Perabo, dancing on a bar!), Center Stage (I don't particularly love it, but most of my friends find it endlessly entertaining in that mindless way), 40 Days and 40 Nights, What Would You Do?, and Drive Me Crazy. There's lots more, all mindless teenage comedies and what not, that are really bad but occasionally entertaining. I just can't think of them right now. Pretty much anything aimed at teenagers tends to be kinda dumb, but there's usually lots of pretty faces to look at, so it's usually never a TOTAL waste. :)

How about the magic fingers "torture machine?"
God bless Barberella and the many ways she could find to loose her cloths, have an orgasm and watch a psychadellic light show in the process.
One of my all time favorites:grin

Bad movies, and I don't mean cute-and-funny-bad, I mean without- any-redeeming-features-bad. [b:8235248b4e]Nora[/b:8235248b4e], which was/is the only Ewan McGregor film I ever walked out of (I saw it free, though, so whatever). [b:8235248b4e]Osmosis Jones[/b:8235248b4e], also seen free but oh goddess, so bad!! Not worth the freeness. [b:8235248b4e]Rollerball[/b:8235248b4e], knew I would hate it but it surpassed by expectations. [b:8235248b4e]Bar Girls[/b:8235248b4e], worst lesbian film ever and widely regarded as such. [b:8235248b4e]The Girl[/b:8235248b4e], horrible horrible film that I've repressed and can remember nothing about except that I and all my friends who went to see it at the Montreal Gay and Lesbian FilmFest last year despised it with a firey passion. Yuck.

I used to love watching bad sci-fi but then I realized that none of those films were ever pretty (as in scenery-wise, the sets are always really drab and cheap and ugly) and since then, watching those films makes me sort of sick feeling so I don't anymore.

Bad bad movie..My Big Fat Greek Nightmare oops Wedding. My friends and I went to see it 'cause of all the hype and my stomach hurts just typing this or thinking the title. Even with the audience of repeat attendees I couldn't get into this film. Goonies a classic..love it. I actually crushed martha plimpton's character not the red haired one. And for the so bad it's good gotta say Love Potion #9 and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (Costner's performance..yeek!) and yet I love these movies.

This last weekend we had STARZ and Encore for free, and I finally got to see [i:ca3647aca0]Pearl Harbor[/i:ca3647aca0].

Which is very beautifully photographed, btw.

And has some excellent actors in it.

But the script SUCKED! Hard! Then BIT! CHEWED! AND SPAT OUT!

That's ten hours I'll never get back (yeah, I know it wasn't that long but it [i:ca3647aca0]felt[/i:ca3647aca0] that long)...

Pearl Harbor? Oh yeah, that one went right into my Most Popular Flicks I Have No Inention of Watching list. Right along with Harry Pothead, Dangones & Dragons and Titanic. So, question: what movies are you kittens poudest to have [b:23a54013cf] not[/b:23a54013cf] seen?
