aaaaacccccck! this is so scary. i've never started a daily thread before, but here i am. dont hate me.
anywhoo, soooo like probably everybody else i watched the unedited entropy last night. (yay!) BUT i was doing so with a major neck injury that's been pissing me off for two days now, but hazaa! allofasudden, i felt just fine. rediculously swell in fact. so, i've come to the conlcusion that amber, or least while in leather and kissing aly, is a pain releiver. screw morphine, that's all we need.
so um, yessssss, there's usually questionarificness, so um, when have [i:d815e2e8c7] you[/i:d815e2e8c7] ever used Amber/Aly/Willow or tara as a pain releiver? and which moments worked best?
and um, what are you favourite moments when either of the characters use each other as a pain releiver, so to speak?

i loved the kiss in the body. pure desire to make willow feel better. it was like, here, have my heart, i will share whatever you feel, so you dont have to deal with so much. im not sure thats what you meant though.

Amber is a non stop painreliever for me...I think its her eyes and those lips, OMG, i doubt i could remember my name if i were to meet her.. The fact that she is a beautiful person inside and outside is icing on the cake....

If i ever met her in person, i would try to act cool, but im afraid it would be sooooo obvious that im crazy about her that id make a fool of myself..Id be so nervous id probably Willow babble or something

As for W/T pain reliever scenes, i have to agree the scene in The Body was pure heaven...And Taras "back off" scene
was great in helping to keep Willow from using magic..

Edited to add that my insomnia has kicked in again after a week or so of getting some sleep..So for medicinal purposes im on the kitten board posting about Amber

I love the scene in Bargaining, where Willow is stressing about bringing Buffy back, and Tara crawls over and snuggles with her to calm her down. I'm sure Willow's stomach got a lot less acidy right away.

Nothing to do with the question, but I was walking past a new shop today and it had a sign reading Very Beautiful Amber. Being pathetic my first thought was true and my second was and its a tautology anyway. Then I realised it was a jewellery shop.

Yeah, once i had this waful headache, and my mom told me to go to sleep, and adviced me not to watch tv, cause it would get worse. Of course, as soon as i was in my room, i turned the tv on and looked at "family". And guess what... i totally forgot about my headache Thanks amber

When they first ran the episode, they had cut the last 3-4 seconds from the W/T kiss at the end. Tonight, wonder of wonders, they showed the entire kiss.

I find The Body very hard to watch, as it reminds me of my Dad's death, but I find that the whole scene where Tara is so concerned for her girl, and just wants to console her is very soothing to me.

It was a pain reliever up untill Tara died, but now watching the reruns is so hard. But the fanfic helps, a great deal.

molly, ditto. i've only actually seen The Body once. When it was first reaired this year. I don't know how but I missed it the first time. My mental health went out the window for a week..... that show was [i:e3024abcfb] too[/i:e3024abcfb] well done....

For some reason the scene in the magic box at the end of "Family" makes me extremely happy. Especially after a crappy day.
What I find odd is that I like Buffy in that scene. As a general rule I intensely dislike Buffy but in that scene she makes the largest loudest statement.

After listening to Amber talk about filming that scene and how she cried when she wasn't even being filmed, I just feel the love there. I know it is such an obvious turning point for Tara and that makes my heart pound with happy every time I watch it.

Oh and BTW Meeting Amber is truly amazing. She is so stunning IRL. I was an idiot the first few times I met her. Fortunately I had a good friend to slap me out of my AWE.

Urn of Osiris, I have to chime in about Family. It was broadcast at the same time I was going through a career change - mucho stress about work and money. What got me through was the support of my dear wife, and several viewings of this ep. There was just something so hopeful about it - Buffy, and especially Willow standing up for Tara, and that big old smile on Tara's face when she realized she WAS happy.

Sadly, I haven't been able to re-watch this ep since the events of May...

Actually I found that anytime Tara was with Willow, even just taking her hand and looking at it or holding it was a pain reliever. It took both of them to really chase the blues or whatever away.

And I love the last 10 minutes of family, but I also love the devotion Willow shows Tara in the last 5 minutes or so of Tough Love as well.

Hmm, I seem to be enjoying some Amber Medicine right now . . . I just noticed that the beer I'm drinking says "Rich Amber Ale" on the neck and bottle label. Yummy Amber Ale. Like Joni sang, "I could drink a case of you."

Which almost makes up for the disconcerting dream I had last night. I realize some of you will not believe this, but it was the first time I dreamed about Amber Benson (in a literal, total deep sleep kinda dream). We were in a house or a cabin on a mountain. I was downstairs and someone told me that Amber was upstairs and wanted to see me.

That doesn't happen to me everyday, so I went upstairs and found her alone in a long room staring out the window with her forehead pressed against it. Outside it was daytime, but very dark, stormy and raining. She didn't turn around when I spoke to her, so I went up to the window, leaned against it and looked at her. She was crying and the tears ran down her face while the rain was running down the outside of the window pane. No matter what I said, she just keep staring and crying. I think she may have said "there's nothing that can be done" or "there was nothing that I could have done" or something like that. It made me feel really inadequate and helpless.

Then I woke up.

As far as the times when W/T have used each other as pain relievers ... I am a sucker for those blink-and-you'll-miss-'em moments when they lean on each other, literally. Like in [i:52505afb60] Bargaining, Pt. 1[/i:52505afb60] in the airport, when Giles is getting ready to leave. Willow turns slightly in Tara's direction, and Tara picks up on it and just leans her head against Willow's. Love that. Or in [i:52505afb60] Forever[/i:52505afb60], at the funeral, when they're standing at the grave and Tara has her arm on Willow's shoulder. There's another nice one in [i:52505afb60] Bargaining, Pt. 2[/i:52505afb60] while they're walking through the street, right after Willow says "You mean, maybe it was my fault." Just before the camera cuts away, you can see them lean into each other with their heads touching as they walk on. Very sweet.
