I adore the LOTR books and have read them countless times. I haven't seen the film yet (I don't like going to the cinema) but I am going to buy the DVD this weekend.

Cate Blanchett and Liv Tyler...both looked damn hot with those pointy ears..fwaaahhh...and Elija Wood is a damn fineactor. Orc's are scary...wanted to hid from them, but where to you hide in a cinema. Soundtrack was F'ck'n amazing, wnet right out and bought it after seeing the film, listen to it all the time, drive everyone crazy.

His character dies at the end of the first film, so he wont be in the second two. But you have to watch the fellowship of the ring, it's like trying to watch "the Gift" without seeing the rest of season five, it can't be done. Well, it probably could, but it's bloody brilliant. watch it. i insist.

The 10 min preview was probably my favourite part about the whole DVD. Just cause I'm really looking forward to seeing Karl Urban as Eomer. Pity there was nothing about the Ents in the trailer, but then they aren't really ready yet are they?
