It's Surgery Day Thursday, MKF! 1/2/03

Okay, I could use some of that famous Kitten love today. In seven and a half hours, I'm having surgery. Never really had any surgery other than LASIX, so I'm a little nervous. I'm having a breast reduction, and I know that in about ten hours, I'm gonna have Frankenboobs. It's kinda freakin' me out, even if the end result is good. I'm probably oversharing, but I can't sleep 'cause I'm all nervous and scared, so please think happy thoughts for me today?

Happy thoughts coming your way, sweetie. **HUGS** Just keep those positive thoughts rolling around your brain and try to relax. Don't get too worked up, or the experience will just be worse for you.

I don't mean that to sound rude, if it does. Just... keep your mind focused and calm. That's the best advice I can give you.

I'll keep you in my thoughts and say a pray for you, that all goes well... which I'm SURE that it will.

hah - I just noticed the date on this thread. Yet again, I and everyone else seem to have forgotten my parents wedding anniversary, and here in NZ, the day is almost over. I'm staying with them over the holiday season, and they haven't even mentioned it today (not suprising, as they have a tendancy to forget it, with all the other things happening at this time of year!).
I must go now and congratulate them on their 38th (I think?) Wedding anniversary. WOW, that is a long time....

You guys rock. Thanks...My alarm just went off, so now I have to get ready to go. My neighbors had music blasting all night, so I couldn't sleep at all. I'll probably be knocked out for most of the rest of the day, though, so it'll be okay. heh

And Jimmi, watch out. Evanescence becomes addictive very quickly. I went to their show NYE. Amy Lee? She walked out on stage, and I was just in love. Absolutely gorgeous, and totally sweet, with a voice from the angels. And look what I got. Woo!

Eek...Must shower. I'm trying not to get TOO worked up. I've been really excited about this for the past month. Now that it's actually HERE, it's a little freaky.

Having gone through my share of surgeries .... all in all 14 and nine in two years all I can say is try and relax ( yeah right ) the real nerves will start right before they take you in and then the next thing you know is its over and you're in the recovery room.

For the pre-op you might want to bring a magazine sitting in your robe for hourts gets boring even if you have a friend with you and if its an overnight thing it will come in handy.For one of my surgeries I was all with the happy drugs but the others I was so happy I brought something to read.

Well, it's back to work after two weeks of vacation Thursday, for me. Ugh... I never knew so many useless emails could exist before I logged in this morning. And the stacks of paperwork are threatening to stage a coup and attack one another. I think they're so big now, they're starting to form little countries. *sigh*

By the way, Jennpurr? NICE avatar! Love the new one.

I have such a huge smile on my face right now. You guys are so totally sweet. Thanks for all the kind messages. This is the first time I've been able to get online since yesterday. I was sick most of last night, but I'm doing okay today. Still sore, but that's understandable. I actually managed a little real food today (which beats the two crackers I had yesterday). I'm not moving around too much, but I can get up for a little bit. My mom is staying with me for a few days, and my best friend has gone above and beyond the call of duty. He's helping with the stuff that icks out my mom. He rocks beyond the telling of it.

So I haven't officially seen the new me yet 'cause I'm all bandaged, but I think he took almost 2 pounds from each side. Looking down, I see a DRAMATIC difference, and I am SO happy about that.

I'm just popping in here real quick to say hi and I made it and all that fun stuff, but seriously, you guys are amazing. Thanks again.
