That's interesting to know, xita. Except why in the heck would you switch to dial-up from cable? Oh never mind, I guess you'd do that if cable was making you it's bitch. Dial-up sure is hell though.

Now if you could find out why it resets the "Who's Online" thing, we'd be set.

Bytrsuite, I am normally on dialup, but was on cable yesterday, before this started. I started on netscape this morning but switched to IE. That's what she means. (I may have been using both this morning, too)

We'll see how this goes.

Net7 has tabs now.. but I don't use them.. I just have about 500 windows open.. ok, not that many, but I have too many open sometimes. But I have dialup & I hate waiting for the pages to load. this way, I can look at one page while the rest are loading.
[/quote:f9e8d7064d]

Skittles, tabs load just as fast as new windows, and they don't clutter your taskbar, they work much better then new windows. I didn't want to use them either when I first started using Mozilla, but after I tried it and stuck with it for a day, I was hooked :grin

Another reason I love them so much...I'm on dial-up too, so while I'm reading one tab, the others are loading ;)

Hey, I was just wondering what the difference is between the '54th Annual Emmy Awards' and the 'Creative Arts Awards'? And why does damn Australia not show the latter? I wanted to see Aly presenting, but only the 54th are being boradcasted. Or are they the same?

vix84, I believe the Creative Arts (special) Awards are the awards that are not broadcast--Guest Actor Award, Voice-Over and suchlike. The awards they think no-one will want to watch :) .

And Mozilla, light of my life. No more mistyping and trying to access my 'homail' account.

Thanks, infinitelight.

That means I've just watched about an hour of the most dull awards ever, for no reason.

:cry I want to see Alyyyyy

hey, I hope this isn't too lame, but...

I can't seem to figure out how to do a signature. I went to the appropriate place on faq and tried to follow the link to the preferences in the control panel, but it kept not coming up, like a blank page with "error" or something. I am obviously no whiz at this so I am at a loss of what else to try. any tips?

Well, those are the best instructions I can give you but make sure you are logged in and then check on the main board page towards the top on the left is a link for the control panel that should take you in there.

Ok, if you are logged in, I have made a pic that shows where you can see the link to the control center.

Does anyone know of a site where I can download the latest Buffy eps? Unfortunately we're about 6 months behind the US here, and I don't want to wait that long. :)

Hmm, it's hard to say where, depending on the quality and quantity that are around these days. You might try a general users site, somewhere like kazaa or galaxy or something. Apart from that, I know there are some people who have specific sites designed for download. There used to be one but I think it went private and you need to be a member to log in and download eps.

The German site is probably the best. It has them in segments so they're easy to download and the quality's not all that bad. I can NEVER remember the name though; I think it's something like www.buffyverse.de or something...

OK this is a bizarre question, and I'm probably completely wrong. But I was watching Doppelgangland, and in one scene there is an extra who looks uncannily like Amber. Willow (dressed as VW) is in the Bronze, and is saying "I don't know if I feel like killing anymore", and she strokes a girl's hair. Look at the girl! Even if it isn't Amber, it looks a hell of a lot like her!

Any comments, suggestions? hehe

This might be considered a strange question and I may not be posting it in the right section, so please feel free to move it.
I have watched all of season 6 (some of it I really wished I hadn't) but the one episode I missed was As You Were. I have got it on video, but somehow, haven't been able to bring myself to watch it yet . Actually, I haven't rewatched any of season 6 - just don't seem to have the heart to.
The question is - should I bother with this episode? Lots of comments I've read about it from kittens implies it was a pretty dire episode. Would I really be missing much if I just left it alone? Or should I go for the whole season sux experience and watch it for `"completeness"?

Or should I just tape over it with a good episode from season 5, currently showing on Sky?

[b:4a3d9e1d37] As You Were[/b:4a3d9e1d37] was all about Riley coming back to be honest. It's not a great episode but it's not shit. It's just so-so. Personally, I'd watch it for the feeling of completion, but that's just me. Willow's kind of cute in it too. :)

I actually kind of liked 'As You Were'. Stupid storyline, MarySue! and all. Dawn and Willow talk about Tara (admittedly for about a second). And, there's Buffy's hat with a cow. (I feel every episode is better for the presence of the hat.) And Willow's last line is great.

I vote watch it, if you can.

Ooh, I vote watch only the Willow parts. Anything else is crap anyway as it had nothing to do with the rest of the season that I can remember.

It's in html code, so you would have to use html. For example, to change the color to pink, you would use '<'font color=pink'>' type stuff here '<'/font'>' without the quotes. The last font thing is important, it tells the webbrowser to stop painting things pink. To change a size, you do the same thing, but instead of color, write size, and try different numbers.

Remember, though, that you can't go above the size that normally appears in the text.

Also, I believe that your signature is a bit long, it can only be three lines, last I checked. I could be wrong about that.

Good luck! I hope that this was helpful!

Hum, I don't know if I'm going crazy here, but... I just noticed that, below a poster's name, I can see [b:2c00e79d77] both[/b:2c00e79d77] the poster level, and the exact number of posts.

So my question is, is that new, or did I just noticed it (after 8 months reading)?

Because, well, IMHO, seeing the exact number would defeat the purpose of naming levels, no?

I'm confuzzled, now.

I am a little confused about my Login. I used to be able to visit the board and I would automatically be logged in. Now it appears that I have to log in manually. Even when I do log in I still have to put in my user name and password to post. What happened? How do I get the automatic login back? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Prophecygal: In your Control Centre go to 'My Preferences' and look underneath the place where you type your signature. There should be a "High Security" box to check, and if it's ticked then untick it. That might help :p

Hi,

Anyone else having trouble with slow loading buttons from adelphia/~xita/buttons ?? (might be spelled wrong)

Board itself loads fine, but it then takes minutes to load like 9 small buttons (newpost and such) from there. ISP being overloaded or cutting down traffic ? (move those buttons to ezboard.com site ? is that at all possible ??)

It's survivable but I'm wondering whats causing this, since it started fairly recent, about a week ago at most.

Even though I am logged in, when I click on a person's name and then try to send them a message, I keep getting this hideous authentication error. I've checked to make sure that the cookies are activated on my browser and I've even checked the security settings! :shock Anyone else having this problem (or has had this problem in the past and has fixed it)?

Also, about the adelphia buttons, anyone else having problem loading them? I've been fine with them.
