My wife got her big packet of seeds in the mail the other day. She has her temporary greenhouse up (my garage with grow lights) and about 150 lbs of soil.

So I wont be seeing her till about June.
Something about being able to take the girl off of the farm, but not the farm out of the girl

Course with a new baby on the way this year might be different.

We all know what keeps us busy and occupied from our significant others and loved ones (this!), but what do they do that keeps them from us?

Hmmmmaking this W/T focusedok what is it the girls do that keep (horrors!) from each other.

Willow is easy in that respect, give her a computer problem and she might even forget to eat. I am going with Sass-inspired images here of Tara threatening to unplug her computer or even hide the mouse.
Also going with the Sass inspired imagery Id say once Tara gets into a painting she is in her own world.

Have fun in your worlds today Kittens!

Oh, I also know too well the lure of the garden for a partner, WebWarlock! As I type this, my girl is pouring over a catalogue of flowers that will find their way into our garden this year! She grew up on a farm too, and I would not be surprised if one day I came home to find a cow in our back garden. Quite a shock for our Midlands neighbours that would be! My sweetie has her gardening and will spend hours out there while I stay firmly glued to the computer.
I think I could see the same for Willow and Tara, Willow being stuck in front of the laptop having to finish something, and Tara outside, I see her very nature based, giving back to the earth by planting.
It's snowed here today though, so no planting today! I had to dig instead...the car out! Hope everyone out there is having fun today!

I know what you mean WebWarlock. I have the same greenhouse set-up ready to rock & roll at our place with lots of flowers and veggies. This year we're moving into the new house and now I have lots of planting space. :D

Plus we live across from 3 big farms "Willow Hill Farm" and Land O Lakes being two of them. Lots of cows and horses in my neighborhood. This from a life long city girl! Who woulda thunk it! I hear the local manure farmer guy gives the neighbors free poop for their garden :shock

Needless to say, Jo is spending much of her time working on the house setting it up and I'm gardening & decorating. :)

I think Willow spends lots of time getting together wonderful romantic gifts and surprises for Tara. Tara I bet loves to spend time at the local pet shelter helping out with the animals and planning great surprises for Willow.:love

Have a great day today everyone!

What doesn't? (Rueful laugh.) Books, TV, her (late)horse, her computer, her house.....

Everything in GF's life has the potential to suck her into a drooling, trance-like state.:wink

Sometimes, GF just checks out and does whatever she feels like, and friends, family, work, and girlfriend are expected to adapt. I'm very independent, but GF's ability to go off by herself to Planet[insert her real name here]and do her own thing goes beyond independence into total self-absorption.

Sigh. I am a very tolerant woman.
