Couldn't agree with you more, thank god for Friday :bounce

Its been a funny old week, I got a promotion at work, but I can't work out at the moment if its the best opportunity I've ever had, or the worst mistake I've ever made. I guess I'll have to suck it and see. At least I have Vegas to look forward to (only 5 more days at work before I fly out!!)

This managed to give us a bit of a distraction today (and its based on UK charts) and can tell you the No1 single on the date of your birth

UK No1s

Mine was Alice Cooper's School's Out which seems appropriate given the sentiments of this thread!

For Amber - Johnny Mathis' When A Child Is Born
For Aly - Paper Lace Billy Don't Be A Hero

Oh Friday Friday Friday...

I just bought chocolate, so I'm all good here. Heh.

My birthday No.1 is The Pipes & Drums & Military Band of The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards - "Amazing Grace".

Great, huh? But strangely comforting that I get a load of blokes tootin' their own horns on the day that I was born. I mean, I'm all for blowing my own, generally...

Hm.

I need more chocolate.

Well thank F**k it's friday! :smash

This bloody weather is doing my head in. I usually love it when it snows but this it's just a nightmare. At least it's stopped snowing. Now we just have the black ice to deal with.

So far I have only gone arse over tit once, which was in the back yard, so no-one has been able to point and laugh.:rofl

Well the song at number one when I decended upon the world was Tubeway Army - "Are Friends Electric?", never heard of it!

You know chocolate sounds like a good idea. I think I'll wash it down with a few pints of beer.

Ah, beer. I'm on a beer prohibition run. It's part of my thrust into next week. However, when next weekend rolls around...plenty of beer will be consumed. Oh yes.

And Zippy, Are Friends Electric is such a fab song. :) Better than Amazing Friggin' Grace, anyhoo.

On my birthday...

The Number 1 single was Procol Harum - "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" and the Number 1 album was the Beatles - "Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."

So, I feel like I'm in pretty good company. ;)

Happy weekend, all.

#1 single the day i was born? Art Garfunkel - "Bright Eyes." not sure that i actually know the song.

Today has been a disappointing day -- one of the courses I was really excited to take, and even willing to have class on friday to take, was cancelled :angry Now I have to pick a new course or else take for credit the class I was going to audit! harumph.

heh, at least I really like the other 3 courses i'm already all excited about. so if one of them isn't as great, I suppose I'll deal :p

but i do have a date tonight, so that's fun! :grin

TGIF!!. Told my gf I was quitting today. She laughed at me - again. Damned, cursed, self employment :smash :rage :smash

The Number 1 single was:
Frank Ifield - "Lovesick Blues"
The Number 1 album was:
Original Soundtrack - "West Side Story" (at least I've heard of that one).

Enjoy your weekend everyone!!

What a hellish week I've had. I studied too much. Plus, my best friend was so sick he hardly noticed I paid him a visit. Poor thing. But friday brought all good things: I finished the test I was stressing about and my best friend is again in his usual state of unhealthy... well, health. Or something. Really can't tell with him.

My No.1 was:
Boris Gardiner - "I Want To Wake Up With You"

never heard of it... :)

I am so glad it's Friday! I have just been stuck at work filling in someone else's job because my team ran out. Then I came out at 10pm and found my car covered in snow! I had to scrape it all off before I could find out what colour car I have!! I had the security guard telling me not to put my foot to the floor driving home! Isn't it scarey when they know how quick you want to get home?! I drove home carefully, watching huge flakes splat across the windscreen. Now, if it snows all night at least I haven't got to go out in it for two days. And snow in England means everything grinds to a halt! I can do that too! Hello weekend!:party

Oh yes, Friday. Home for the weekend, meeting friends, so Friday is definitely good :grin

The #1 album on my birthday was "Super Trouper" and to say that I can't stand the song would be quite an understatement.

But the #1 song was John Lennon's "Imagine" which is one of my favourite songs ever :grin

"Imagine" is a great song! Lucky you to have it on your birthday, hehe.

skittles, I say LoTR goes well with any alcoholic beverage you might possibly want to drink! It also goes really well with things of the smoking variety :p

Ive got you all beat. The #1 song on my birthday was shared between Learnin the Blues by Frank Sinatra and Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley. Sighthey just dont write songs the way they used to.

Yes, Im very glad its Friday and this work week is over. Its year ends right now, and everybody is on edge in the bean counting department. We have one more week of insanity before it calms down a little, although fiscal 2002 wont be officially closed until February 26. I think Im going to take a few days vacation the week after that and head out to Arizona and Spring Training.

I never heard of the song that was number 1 on my b-day. But I did find out that I was born on the same day as Tori
Amos. Maybe we'll share a cake someday.:wink

I am so glad it's Friday now I can catch up on the metaphorical mountain of things I have been neglecting.
