It's 'That's the fetus?' Friday, MKF

Postby jomarch » Fri Aug 23, 2002 12:15 am

Ok, this is the first time I have started a daily thread and I hope I'm doing it correctly.

It's been about a week and a half since I've found out I was pregnant and we just had a sonogram done a few days ago. We actually saw the heartbeat of the fetus and it was the most amazing and wonderful thing that I have seen in a long time. Anyway, naturally, the first time the sonogram comes on screen, the fist words out of my husband's mouth is 'That's the fetus?'. After much confirmation from the very nice doctor and the fact that we saw the heartbeat, my husband is at last convinced of the fact and has now used the picture as his wallpaper on his computer in the office (which will probably result in me not going to his office to pick him up on account of people seeing too much of me!).

So I guess, the Willow and Tara related question of the day would be if either one of them got pregnant, what would they say when they see the first sonogram.

I guess Willow would for once not babble and Tara would probably say something sweet and profound.

Anyway, have a good Friday and I am looking forward to a restful weekend.

Congratulations to you. Wonderful news.

I can see Willow wanting to babble, but being so in awe that she was incapable of it, and then fainting. Tara, of course, would then be busy making sure Willow was okay.

Congratulations, Jomarch! I'm so happy for you!!! :D :party

I think Willow would go into babble-mode about the size of the foetus, and the name of the baby, and anything else on the topic of pregnancy. Tara would just stare, open-mouthed, with wonder.

Congrats on the upcoming stork visit :grin I think Tara would get emotional and start to cry, then Willow would start her babble and say something like "oh Tara baby, dont cry, thats not really what the baby will look like, uh ya know its gonna look more like a baby, well i think it will..Dr wont it look more like a baby, thats how babys look in the beginning isnt it..I mean cause ive never seen a baby that looked liked that after it was born..Oh thats not why youre crying is it :lol

Oh, such lovely news! (heh heh kittens having kittens heh heh good one) Best of wishes you and yours!!

Myself, I suspect Willow would get all teary, then babbly, while Tara would be the strong one. Of course, eventually they'd both be crying for joy.

Congradulations!! That truly is wonderful news!! I would have zilions of bouncing guys for you, if I could remember how to do that,

Willow and Tara ...mm lets see..
1)shock .."the spell wasnt supposed to work like that Willow!"
then
2)insufferable happiness that all parents are entitled to (Willow to the scoobies "I'm going to be a dad! except a mom, welll a spare mom!..Yea us!".
Anya wacks Xander on the arms, and says to him "now whats your excuse")
3)Tara having that pride knowing her child would not grow up scared and cowed and ashamed (like she and her mother did) but in a new and loving place.
4)Another scooby birthday, moving Buffy's cursed ones of the calender for a while.
5)Dawn, as the surragate sister...

Okay, let me calm down. :)
So last night was the first time michael (our 3 yr old)slept away from home. He spent the night at a friends of ours house. She took a digital photo of him and emailed it to us so we could see him sleeping even.
He fortunatly, he had a wonderful time(and so did we) We picked him up in the morning and she was making him mini panackes and playing Muppet show music..

Okay, it was a little tougher on us than him.. this I admit
:)

Congratulations jomarch, I think this deserves a little :party

For those using IE, Microsoft has just issued yet another security update, this one fixes [b:ee26a838b0] six[/b:ee26a838b0] security vulnerabilities, ah the joys of using MS products :rolleyes

On another note, the final version of Mozilla 1.1 is still not out yet, I read that it might be because of a security issue, they want to fix it before releasing itimagine that, fixing a security problem [i:ee26a838b0] before[/i:ee26a838b0] releasing a product, that's just crazy :p

Awww....A Huge Congradulations to You and Your Husband!

I am in agreeance that Tara would start crying and Willow would start cring when she saw Tara crying, they would exchange kisses and hugs. And just keep on telling each other that it's so beautiful and that they love each other.

Just poking into the daily thread to say goodbye to all you wonderful Kittens.

I'm leaving for vacation this weekend (7 days in the Nevada desert for the Burning Man festival) then when I come back next month my job sitch will be changing and I won't have as much time to cruise around this board I would like. Please feel free to email me at verdant_inferno@yahoo.com. I'll be making a point to check that when I can.

Hopefully RL will settle into a comfortable spot with a DSL line at my house in a few months and then I will be back for more Kitten goodness.

Love you all and thank you all for encoragement and inspiration. I wrote that "Witch Love Spells Death" article because of you. Because you shared my outrage and my love for Willow and Tara.

I love them both very much. Seeing that relationship grow and blossom made me ache in the good way. That's how I will remember them.

Okay, gotta go now. Hope to be back soon.

This is cause to celebrate :party

Can they even tell this early whether it is a girl or boy, you said it's been like a week and a half. I forget how early they can tell?

[b:0d3f14ca63] Yay! Congratulations, Jomarch![/b:0d3f14ca63] :bounce :bounce :bounce

Here in Pasadena, my attempt to land a job at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory has taken another interesting turn. I was stopping by their website when I discovered that the very same guy I've been trying to contact for the past month is giving a presentation at Pasadena City College tonight! You'd better believe I'm going, but should I use this as an opportunity to go up and meet him afterwards? Will I even get the chance? I don't know - but I figure at the very least I can see what the guy is like and what the stuff he does is like, and those could be important things to know. Wish me luck! :grin

Hey Jomarch congrats!

honestly, I think Willow would faint. And Tara would watch as her lover got all the attention and doctors and such while she sat there and had a quiet moment with her fetus. *rethinks that term* well, with knowing she has a baby now.

Sorry but I can't resist. Willow would have to say:

"She looked so much taller the last time we saw her."

Congrats, great news jomarch! Wishing you all the happiness and health in the world! Woo hoo!

Best of wishes Bob, what a great idea! Rooting for you up in the Great Humid North!

I think Willow would probably be babble-less for once, and would maybe hold Tara as they stared at the screen with happy tears in their eyes......

Wow, thanks so much for the good wishes and congratulations. I'm still trying to get use to the idea but I think the morning sickness is a big clue. My due date is April 10th so at least I have time to prepare for all the changes. Thanks again and enjoy what's left of the weekend.

This is my first time posting after lurking for over a year, and I just wanted to say congratulations to you, jomarch! I'm not sure what Willow and Tara would say to each other, but I know what my partner and I said when we found out five weeks ago we were pregnant, "Is that the heartbeat?!" It is an awesome feeling to see your baby for the first time! My partner and I are lucky to have a support system where we live, kinda like the kittens have their support system here.

Again, congrats jomarch! Our due date is March 30th, so we'll go through this pregnancy together!
