I didn't see a daily thread yet so yay for me actually getting one. As you may or may not know I'm Transfering to San Diego State in 16 days and it is time to celebrate. I just got the best news. out of only 50 single rooms I was lucky enough to get one. <does a little happy dance>
This means no bad roommates for me! okay so I need a question right...
Do you think things would be different if Willow and Tara had ended up as roommates at the begining? would they still have gotten together ?

Must add again yay for me and my first daily thread...and if its wrong, it wasn't me who did it.....

on the topic of willow and tara sharing a room from the start ......well in my mind the only difference would be they meet sooner......hence sweet lovin' begins sooner.....

As for the Q, opinion is the same as other people's: they would have gotten together faster.

I'm really annoyed with myself. While in Philadelphia, I found alot of Philadelphia mint coins to add to my state coin collection, and put them somewhere in my suitcase, and now, back in LA, I can't find them. I just have no idea where I put them, where I thought was a "safe" place.

So, here in the UK the television and newspapers and magazines are saturated with the "Back To School" adverts with lots of cute school uniforms and such in. My neice and nephew are starting to feel their age though; at 8 and 6 it's a great responsibility to ensure that you have the correct pencil case, backpack and shoes for a trouble-free school life. God I love those kids; they're like mini-demons but they're adorable with it. I have to share this; last week my neice found my Faith action figure (yum) and decided that she wanted to play with it. She renamed it "Britney". And I thought to myself, yeah, Faith would [b:2f1fead623] love[/b:2f1fead623] that.

Anyhoo...thinking of Willow and Tara; I'm sure if they'd gotten the appropriate school uniforms, they would have been together from the get go.

On a different topic: Elianna, i didn't know that US coins were different from one state to another... Are they? Given they're are 52 different states, that makes a lot of different coins... Or am i getting this wrong?

Pikachu: No!

The US is doing this special thing with quarters, that on the back of the quarter, instead of the normal bald eagle, is a picture representing a state. There will be five new states per year, and they will only be minted at the original time they are minted (ie, no going backwards, and reminting Delaware).

There are two mints (places coins and paper money are made) in the US: Denver and Philadelphia. And because I'm really anal that way, I want not only a coin of each state, I want from each mint, too. The website is US mint.

And to see it listed by state.

Pikachu, I just re-read your post, and something else clicked in me: How did you get 52? I've been out of the US for a bit, but I only remember 50 states.

And now with everyone talking about the Euro, I see why it was getting confusing. I wasn't laughing AT you, just so you know.

Coins coins, I love coins and if I could choose I'd say the US coins are the best set of coins I have ever used. Not so many different ones and easy to pay with. And I love the fact that there are one dollar bills.

I am swearing at least once a day about the euro. Gee, who invented those bills? They are supposed to be extra safe, nobody should be able to make false bills, yeah, right, there are already some around, pretty good ones at that But to get the bills so safe they have used so ugly paper, yuck. And we have [i:092c23dbef] *counts*[/i:092c23dbef] I think 8 different coins. 8!! 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 cent and one and two euros. bleh, bleh, beh!

So stupid. So many useless coins.

Seems like just about every single town in my home state is being flooded. My own home town isn't too bad (although it's the worst since 1954), but it's just terrible to watch Dresden and all those small towns everywhere in the news. And those floods from Prague are going to get there, too. My mother is from one of the regions where they don't even have footage anymore and she's starting to get really depressed

As for coins, I think collecting Euros is fun, although I just try to get one of every coin from every state, which shouldn't be too hard. (Not including states like the Vatican of course as I don't plan to spend a fortune on this.)

I like the Greek ones best. They have the one featuring Europa being abducted by Zeus, which is more than fitting for the Euro. And they have that one that is copied from an old (400 BC) Athenian coin which is pretty awesome (imho). And, as I mentioned before, they have 8 different designs.

There's 1.5 metres of water in Dresden central station now and those floods are still rising And no school tomorrow in the whole state.

As for me and college, I'm moving into my dorm on saturday. I hope my roomate and I get along. I talked to her on the phone a week or so ago and my impression of her is best summed up by the phrase "nice christian girl" . Nothing wrong with that though. I'm just glad I got a roomie who won't be stealing my stuff and all. Now let's just see if she can put up with my w/t obsession.
